Looking at the huge polar bear standing infront of him, Haru raised out his hand, making an ice dagger with his remaining mana. Ready to fight to death, at that moment. A girl came out from behind
She was short in height with black hair,
Wearing an Inuit, similar to Eskimo people.
She grabs into the bears feet in cautious, she takes a look at Haru—"Oh, it's a human"
Haru huffs and puffs, with the decreased energy, he falls to his knees while still pointing the dagger at them,—"Who are you" asks Haru while on his guard.
The bear looks at the girl, she steps forward and replies —"I am Nami"
Haru drops his dagger and it vanishes,
He lets out a sigh knowing that it was no danger, he couldn't feel any bloodlust or ill intentions coming from them.
He tries to get up but his feet has given up.
He looks at his feet but they don't budge,—"Huh?What is happening?" Questions Haru to himself since this has never happened before.
He was stuck there, with both his legs being numb. The bear walks over and picks him to his back.
Haru exclaims—"Haa?? Where are you taking me!!"
Nami starts walking infront of the bear, she replies—"Weren't you heading towards our village?"
The bear starts to follow her from behind, carrying Haru behind his back.
Haru starts to feel cold,—"Wait, Why am I starting to feel cold??" As he shivers.
The bear answers—"It's because you're running out of mana."
This was the truth, since Haru was not gifted with this power, he took this power through force.
Haru in utter shock ,replies -"Heyy!! This animal can talk!!"
The bear frowns and Nami starts to laugh,
She replies—"Like you haven't encountered magical beasts"
Haru starts to wonder—"She has a point, but maybe it was because polar bears existed before those magical beasts and we never expected them to talk".
With this, he knew that it was no longer the same world, the theory of physics and all laws were evolving as times passed.
Yes their world had monsters from the moment they were born and it wasn't a shock since they became a normal occurrence.
But they didn't expect a polar bear to talk as given in the TVs they were like a natural predator which just followed the basic animal behaviour.
He did not expect it to possess the intelligence to communicate.
They soon reach their village with people staring at Haru. There stood many polar bears in armour, along with the humans.
It was the first time they had seen any humans from outside.
The chief of the village comes forward to see the new person who entered their village.
BACK TO THE ANCIENT ALTAR
Where Kiro trains.
He has been training for several hours now,
Finally he could control the channel of his mana. As a leaf starts to fall,
SWINGG!!!
And he cuts the leaf into two.
His swordsmanship has become better with more precision.
CLAP!CLAP!CLAP!
Kiro turns to see Nasu clapping his hands,
—" A fast learner indeed" says Nasu as he approaches.
Kiro sheathes his sword—"I'm yet to reach your level"
Nasu laughs upon hearing this—"I have experience worth hundreds of years" says Nasu and he puts his hands on Kiro's shoulder—"I may have an idea on your power."
Kiro looks at Nasu in surprise—"So what is it?" Asks Kiro with his eyes gleaming.
Hmm… wonders Nasu as he thinks of breaking down into words.
—"As seen from your last fight, the Divine step which you used, belonged to a certain person" Nasu looks in all seriousness and asks Kiro—"Where did you learn it?"
Kiro looks confused with this question since he was previously asked about this from Osamu. He replies—"I watched at TV, there was a similar guy dancing similar to this pattern."
Nasu smiles upon hearing this,—"That was the move I did to offer the God I served."
And he smiles recalling pack the past—"The people back at the village started to mimic me as an indication of offering towards me."
Kiro in an utter shock didn't know that it was a move developed by Nasu—"Why don't you do it anymore?" Asks Kiro as he looks at him.
Nasu sighs and hits his head—"Because I no longer serve anyone"
After the incident that had happened with him and the other mountain Gods, he was disconnected from the one he served.
He did not get punished since he did not break any rules.
Also all the villagers stopped coming to worship because of the rumour that they became evil and started to kill people.
Due to this, his power was weakened and
He did not want to go to the outside world.
He looked at Kiro and said—"Your power is to memorise the move of other people."
Kiro looks confused—"Huh??? What do you mean"
Nasu takes a leaf and burns it with blue flames—"Do the thing I did—
Kiro looking at him, channels his mana towards his hands, he imagines a blue flame burning and it burns the leaf.
—See, you incorporated my power into yours."
Kiro still confused but now he was starting to know what Nasu was talking about.
Nasu further breaks it down to words—"You see, You only imagined doing my dance and so with that, you got to use my flames when you fought against Yako."
Kiro was still confused because he doesn't recall using any blue flames before this.
During the earlier fight, It was Kiro's unconsciousness which fought off Yako.
So he doesn't remember releasing any blue flames.
Nasu realises about this from the look of Kiro's face. He chuckles and explains further—" Your mana is a divine mana, meaning that it can adapt to any element. Take example of water, it can take any form based on where it is poured and also change its flavour depending on what is mixed along with it."
Kiro starts to grab the concept, his power was his mana which can use any power he memorised. He gave a gleamed face, as this would make him use any kinds of power.
Though Nasu warns him—"Becareful about whom you try to imitate as the original owners are adapted to their power. For example, A Flame user can prolong the use of flame because his body is adapted to it and can withstand it, however that's not in your case. If you try to use the same amount of time as his, you will get yourself burned."
Kiro understands that this was a gamble and also a skill based on time. If he copied Haru's power and he uses it for a long time, his body would start to freeze, as his body was not adapted to it.
Nasu was quite surprised at Kiro, he wondered to himself—"This Kid's body is gifted as well, to be able to pull of my flames is a huge feat in itself."
Kiro looked at Nasu and bowed—"Please impart more of your moves to me"
Nasu grins and says—"Fine!! But remember not to overdo since it would end up burning you."
Kiro gets up and replies—"Hai!!"
As he unsheathes his sword to learn more moves from him.
