Upon the Inner Sea, the crew of Luna and Theia, along with a hundred knights, sailed from the peninsula of Ravenport towards the southern peninsula of Frozen Paradise.
Luna strolled along the ship's edge to the front deck, with Theia following just behind, watching her every move with a smile that bordered on a beet-red blush. She watched as Luna placed each step, as her long, bluish dress swayed in the wind, as she fidgeted with her fingers behind her back, as her long, pinkish hair streamed upon the breeze.
Luna stopped at the base of the bowsprit and stared at the horizon. The waves reached past six meters, but the boat, of strong origin, had no trouble sailing through them—one could even say it sailed with ease. Imperial boats were of a different kind: sturdier, stronger, and bigger, truly the pinnacle of sea warships. This one had been exclusively granted to Luna and Theia to make their way across the sea to their destination safely.
The commander of the knights, who guided the ship peacefully, slowly made his way toward Luna and called from afar, "My lady!"
Hearing his words, Luna turned back. "What's wrong, Commander?" She kept her eyes on him as he walked up the stairs, then knelt before them, saying, "We have passed halfway through our journey across the Inner Sea."
"Is that so?" Luna smiled as she looked at his glimmering silver armor, even under the cloudy sky. Truly a beautiful sight to behold.
"Yes, my lady… Soon enough we'll pass by the head of the Ancient Dragon King's skeleton, so please keep a lookout to your left."
"I see. Is it so small that I must look carefully for it?"
The commander gazed out at the sea, thinking for an answer, then chuckled. "No… It is enormous in size. You'll spot it from kilometers away. The first time you see it, we'll still be at least six hours from sailing up beside it."
"We do not know who slew him, but he must have been a great knight. You see, my lady, they say the head is a place where mana accumulates—a good point to jump into whenever you need to get somewhere." The commander mentioning having in mind wants to entertain the Lady he serves
"Really?" she asked excitedly. "You just… jump in? And you find yourself wherever you want?"
"Honestly, my lady, no one knows how it works. It simply teleports you somewhere… And we do not advise doing so. It's unknown how it happens, so it might be unsafe for you."
"Really? Really? Are you hearing this, Theia? Maybe we'll visit it on our way back home…" Luna said, before adding under her breath, "If that ever happens…"
Theia blushed as Luna looked at her. Shaking, she looked at the ground and nodded.
Luna chuckled as she admired the high waves of the Inner Sea. The commander stood and said, "Then… my lady, I'll be going to help my men. Please rest well." He knelt once more and walked away.
"Of course… Work hard," Luna waved as he returned to the quarterdeck where the ship's wheel was located.
"Then let's go to the captain's cabin to rest, okay, Theia?" Luna said, her smile radiant from the top of the stairs, where Theia stood just a few steps below. Theia looked up at that dazzlingly lovable smile.
She was mesmerized by the sight of her glow, her beauty, her charm. She watched the smile as if looking at something unattainable, She swallowed her saliva, and smiled back while looking down, nodding.
"I see… then let's go." Luna walked down the stairs, grabbed Theia's hand, and led her back toward the cabin. "Come fast! We'll take a nap together, so the time will pass faster!"
Theia looked straight at Luna, her eyes glimmering, and thought, I wonder if I felt the same with Niv back then, if she had just accepted me… No.
Theia shook her head as a genuine smile took over her face. I would never have felt this happy with her. I never felt this happy with her. Everything I felt then, the time I spent with her, was just an illusion made in my head. She never loved me as a sister, nor as a person.
Theia watched the back of Luna's head as she gripped her hand, her hair thrashing as the wind blew right at her.
Tears swelled in Theia's eyes as she let Luna lead her anywhere.
I feel so happy.
Luna… you might never know this, but I'm sure you already do… I love you to the bone… I will never leave you… You are my sister… my true sister… I once dreamt in that forsaken room for an inkling of love… and you gave me an abundance of it… What is this? This tug on my chest? Ahhhh… I see… Thank you.
"Yes!" Theia answered.
Luna turned her head over her shoulder and chuckled smiling. "What took you so long to answer?"
"Okay… so let's go!" Luna said, as Theia smiled from ear to ear, her face beet red.
