Zaigon and his clones studied Jin intently. He could feel Jin's intensity in the air, something shifted in Zaigon and he closed his eyes and took a deep breathe. When he opened them and looked back Jin had disappeared.
"What? H... He's gone!"
He suddenly felt an indescribable heat coming from behind him, he slowly turned his head to see Jin's white hair flowing behind him.
"Why can't I move?"
Zaigon felt his hands tense up and soon his whole body began to tense up and he felt like he had a pit in his stomach. He started to breathe heavily.
"I'm stronger than him so.... So why do I feel like this."
Zaigon's clones tried to rush at the both of them, Jin vanished again before they got close. Zaigon finally gained some control over his body, he huddled close together with his clones watching, waiting for just one little slip.
"Come on out you little bastard. Don't think you're in the clear just because of a second wind"
Suddenly as if Jin was waiting for Zaigon to speak out, both of his clones were cut into pieces so fast he couldn't react. When he turned around, he was immediately struck in the middle of his face by a viscous punch. Zaigon was sent skidding across the ground and when he looked at Jin his blood was trickling down his face.
"Hyper Tension"
Jin uttered and shot himself at Zaigon throwing another straight right punch at his face. Zaigon caught Jin's fist and looked at him with hatred in his eyes. He let out a quiet chuckle and his body began to leak a mysterious purple aura, Jin watched as his eyes turned purple and he tried to pull his hand away.
"My master warned me about using this form but.... Well, quite frankly I'm too pissed off to care."
Zaigon's body started to become smaller and leaner, his skin turned into black scales with intricate purple patterns weaved around his body. His grip tightened on Jin's hand. Jin started to feel intense pain and began to scream as it slowly became unbearable. Suddenly Jin dodged his head to the side narrowly avoiding a punch from Zaigon. He summoned a sword to his left hand and sliced Zaigon's hand off.
"Sir you must be careful, watch him closely"
When he jumped back, he saw Zaigon's black bubbles came from the stump and slowly reformed his hand and Jin replied back to Cain.
"Don't worry Cain. I'll beat him, then I'll help the others... I hope they're doing okay"
At the breach Zayne, Quinn and Mia who had just met up the pair as she came from a rendezvous checkpoint.
"What's the plan Captain?"
Quinn asked. Zayne turned to them with an unbothered look on his face and he walked past them and pointed at the large Reaper. He turned back to them and said.
"They've been slowly moving towards the W.H.A facility." Zayne says "We have to stop them before they destroy the facility, if it falls.... So does this city"
"But they have the numbers and most of the forces we have aren't prepared for a drawn-out battle like this. So, whatever we're going to do, we need to do it fast"
Zayne paced back and forth trying to think of something, He remembered when he first met Zaigon and Jin and then something clicked.
"Wait!" He said "There has to be something calling the shots. That Reaper... I noticed this earlier, but it seems like it's being commanded, almost like it doesn't have a will of its own. If we can find whatever it is that is controlling it, maybe we could figure out how to stop it"
"What about that Reaper, Zaigon?"
Quinn chimed in. Mia and Zayne looked at her and looked back at each other smiling.
"You are a genius, Quinn. Mia take Quinn and search around the outer city for signs of him and leave nothing untouched and if you find or see anything report to me on comms. I will take care of things here"
Mia nodded and grabbed Quinns hand and began to fly into the hair. Zayne watched as they slowly got farther and farther away, he turned around and smiled.
"I'll die before I let these monsters take this city"
Mia and Quinn continued their search for anything out of the ordinary. Quinn looked down observing the destroyed streets, nothing in particular caught her eye.
"Mia, do you think that we might not be able to win this time?"
"What?!" Mia said angrily "Don't say that... We can't give up hope"
As she finished saying this a massive explosion went off in one of the dozens of giant craters they could see. Mia flew them towards a building overlooking it and as the dust and debris settled, they saw Jin standing off with Zaigon.
"Is that Jin" Quinn says "He... He looks so different, he looks so angry"
Suddenly Jin and Zaigon rushed at each other clashing with blades. With each clash powerful shockwaves were being sent out blowing Mia and Quinn backward. The building began to crumble beneath them and Mia grabbed Quinn floating in the air.
"We have to help him!"
"Mia, I don't think there is much we can do... Those two are on a completely different level than we are, we'd just get in the way"
Mia pondered what to do. She knew she couldn't do much, but she wanted to help him how he helped her. She flew Quinn down to the ground and took off into the sky.
"MIA COME BACK!!"
Mia floated above them watching them trying to find an opening or something to help Jin. She flew down behind Zaigon and shot a massive fireball at his back, it collided but he brushed it off like it didn't even hit him.
"MIA WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" Jin shouted "RUN NOW!"
Zaigon slowly turned his head and met eyes with Mia. He lifted his hand up and shot a red thin beam from the tip of his pointer finger. Mia couldn't even see it; but Jin appeared in front of her pushing her out of the way taking the hit to the right side of his chest. A small hole was left behind from it and Jin fell to the floor.
"Jin... Jin wake up. I'm sorry I didn't mean for this to happen"
Mia said in a shaky voice as she crawled over to him, she lifted his head up trying to wake him when a shadow appeared over them. Zaigon stood over them with a sadistic smile on his face.
"Don't tell me you actually have feeling for this fool. Say goodbye now, because soon I'm going to kill him, then you and then that girl hiding in that building behind you... Then the rest of your pathetic race"
His arm formed into a gigantic blade. He held the blade in the air over head; Mia tried to shoot more fireballs at him, but he just stood still letting them hit him. Zaigon began to swing it at the both of them and Jin abruptly woke up in a panic gasping for air as he summoned a sword and sliced through Zaigon's blade.
"Mia, you need to run"
"But..."
Jin stood up before she could finish talking and his wound began to heal itself with Mend, he put himself between Zaigon and Mia and turned to her and replied.
"But nothing.... Run now"
Mia stood up and began to run away. Zaigon tried to chase her, but Jin kicked him back. Jin shook his head no and gestured Zaigon to attack.
"You're very full of yourself"
"What can I say... I know I can beat you; there's no need to doubt myself"
Jin put his hands up and stepped towards Zaigon throwing a right hook towards his face. Zaigon slipped it and tried to counter throwing a straight left at Jin's face but suddenly his arm was broken in less than a second.
"W... What?!"
Before he could counter, he was kicked on the top of his head into the ground. Jin grabbed him by his broken arm and stepped on his shoulder ripping it clean off. Zaigon grunted before he rolled onto his back and kicked Jin into the air. He suddenly appeared next to Jin regenerating his arm and grabbed him by his face.
"WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE?!"
Zaigon threw Jin's body into the ground. Jin lost the air in his lungs and blood flowed from his mouth as he tried to heal himself Zaigon landed on top of him stomping him into the ground deeper and deeper.
"Sir, your mana reserves are getting low, if you use Mend anymore your body will give out"
Jin faded in and out of consciousness looking at the sky as his vision became red from that had ran down his face into his eyes.
"It hurts... It hurts so much" He thought "But, I have to get up"
"Any last words Jin Aldeus?...Before I snuff out your worthless existence"
Jin looked up at Zaigon as rain began to fall, he struggled to smile but when he did, he coughed up some blood before he stood on his feet.
"Do it!"
Zaigon immediately swung at him, but Jin sidestepped dodging it and Zaigon began a flurry of attacks as Jin dodged them all he said to Cain.
"If I use Reaction Prime to dodge until I find an opening... Maybe I can kill him with one powerful strike"
"Sir you could put the rest of your mana into a Shotgun. But if you do, you must kill him because your body will give out"
Jin sucked his teeth and Zaigon tried to slice his torso off his lower body, Jin perfectly ducked under it and began to run. Zaigon shot dozens of magical orbs at him that detonated.
"Running now, are we? Have you finally realized trying is futile"
Jin stopped and let an orb hit him. Zaigon chuckled but as the dust settled Jin was nowhere to be seen, he was suddenly struck across the right cheek but when he looked no one was there.
"Show yourself coward"
He was struck across the face again only this time he grabbed Jin's arm and swung his fist at the back of Jin's head. Jin flipped backward slicing Zaigon's fingers with a dagger he had summoned releasing his hand and then proceeded to sweep Zaigon off his feet. Jin flipped the dagger around and drive to drive it into Zaigon's chest, Jin summoned another to his other hand and tried the same thing.
"I'm going to kill you... I warned you Zaigon"
As Zaigon struggled to hold back both daggers Jin began to headbutt him to distract him enough to stab him. Blood started to drip down both of their faces until Zaigon shouted sending out a shockwave from himself blowing Jin back.
"You'll have to try harder than that Jin"
Jin threw his daggers at him and rushed him landed multiple punches to Zaigon's face. He was shaken up a bit and Jin landed a huge punch directly on Zaigon's chest. He heaved over in pain as he looked up to see Jin far away from him.
"No... Why can't I move?" Zaigon pondered "He can't be this powerful it hasn't been that long since we fought last time"
Jin's body started to glow blue; he ripped his tattered hoodie off his to see his bruise ridden body and muscular physique. His body began to charge up and lightning crackled around his body. Zaigon tried to stand but he couldn't summon any strength in his legs and fear started to consume him.
"PLEASE MASTER SAVE ME!... DON'T LET ME DIE!"
Jin's entire body tightened, his body shot at Zaigon becoming a blue blur and Jin cocked his fist back striking Zaigon in the middle of his chest. Jin's fist went through Zaigon and on the other side Jin held a purple mana crystal, Jin slowly started to fall backwards, his body began to naturally absorb the crystal and both him and Zaigon fell to the floor. Before Jin went unconscious, he heard Cain say.
"Commencing enhancement... New skill acquired. Blood Clones, this skill uses a single drop of your blood and will create a perfect clone of yourself. This skill does not use mana, but you can only have 2 clones active at any given time"
Before he lost unconsciousness, he heard Mia and Quinn's voice coming from the distance and he turned his head to see them running towards him before closing his eyes.
