"No... No... It ain't like that. I just didn't want to disturb you seeing how peaceful you were sleeping." He tossed the blow-dry over to the table before getting up and picking her up from the floor into his arms, going back into the bedroom.
He sat down on the bed, hugging her intimately while she sat down on his lap, clinging onto him. The last thing he wanted was to get reprimanded by those sons of his. If they saw her eyes red, they would automatically blame him as the cause of her tears. It didn't feel good getting blamed by his own sons and he couldn't do anything to defend himself otherwise.
"Humph!" She turned her neck away, avoiding him while withdrawing her hands away from his body, trying to ignore him.
