Chapter 257 - Memory Replacement!

"Bob!"

The Red Scabbards exclaimed in unison, their faces filled with shock as they stared at the young man with shining bald head.

Their voices trembled with fear.

They knew that Kaido was a subordinate of Bob.

His appearance here could only mean one thing—he had come for them.

Against such a man, they stood no chance, they could be annihilated in an instant.

Not just them—even Kurozumi Orochi had widened his crimson eyes in sheer terror.

He understood that Bob was not on his side.

The grudge between him and Kaido had already been set in stone.

This legendary leader of the alliance had come to claim his life.

"Bob, prepare to die!" Orochi knew he might very well perish here.

If so, he might as well strike first.

If he could catch Bob off guard and swallow him whole, there might still be a sliver of hope.

As he spoke, one of Orochi's serpent heads lunged towards Bob, jaws gaping wide, viscous saliva dripping from its filthy maw.

"Quiet! You'll get your turn to speak!" Bob frowned slightly and casually swatted the attacking head with his palm.

Splat!

Under that effortless slap, the massive head exploded instantly.

The scene turned gruesome—blood and flesh splattered everywhere as the shattered serpent head oozed gore.

A chorus of agonized shrieks followed.

The remaining three heads thrashed wildly, the searing pain driving Orochi into complete madness.

Within the dilapidated room, his convulsing body sent wood splinters and dust flying.

Only after a long moment did his frenzied movements finally subside.

In an instant— Bob hoisted Orochi up with one hand, sweeping a glance over the Red Scabbards.

Then, with a light tap of his foot, he soared into the air, darting towards the summit of Onigashima.

The Red Scabbards stood frozen, utterly bewildered by what they had just witnessed—yet their hearts pounded with shock.

Bob had obliterated one of Orochi's heads with a single slap and then hauled him up to Onigashima.

"Let's go! Follow them!" Kin'emon spoke up after exchanging glances with the others.

They had to see Orochi die with their own eyes—even if they weren't the ones to deliver the killing blow, they needed to witness it.

With that, they flashed to the sky, heading straight for the island's peak.

Soon, they arrived at the very top of the skull-shaped dome.

The place was already in ruins, devastated by fierce combat.

Cracks riddled the ground, and dust covered every surface.

There, Bob stood, casually tossing Orochi like a dead fish before Law and the others.

"Kurozumi Orochi?!"

Luffy, Zoro, and the others gasped in disbelief.

They hadn't expected Bob to return with Orochi in tow after his brief disappearance.

"The Red Scabbards!"

On the other side, Yamato spotted the samurai of Wano and called out to them.

Hearing this, Luffy and the others finally noticed their arrival.

"These samurai are still as useless as ever!"

"After all this time, you couldn't even kill a single little cockroach!" Kaido looked mockingly at Kurozumi Orochi, who now only had three heads left, then glanced at the Red Scabbards who had come up.

There was no doubt that Kurozumi Orochi had been fighting these samurai's earlier.

However, halfway through the battle, Bob intervened and brought him up.

Hearing Kaido's words, the Red Scabbards' expressions hardened, their eyes flashing coldly.

They harbored endless rage towards Kaido.

If not for his backing, Kurozumi Orochi would never have been able to control Wano for twenty years.

In the next moment—

Several of them flashed forward, appearing beside Luffy and the others.

Their hostile gazes fixed on Kaido, Big Mom, and Bob.

"Why are World Government agents here?" Kin'emon finally noticed the CP0 members kneeling on the ground.

The distinctive masks and clothing might have gone unrecognized by others, but they spotted them immediately.

"Law, begin!" Bob couldn't be bothered with the Red Scabbards and simply spoke to Law.

As soon as the words left his mouth—

Law took a deep breath, then abruptly intensified his aura.

"ROOM!"

He raised his right hand, fingers slightly curled, and a spherical barrier of light appeared at his fingertips.

Then, his eyes narrowed sharply, and the barrier expanded outward from his fingers, enveloping Kurozumi Orochi and one of the CP0 agents.

In the next moment, the masked CP0 agent's eyes beneath the mask flashed with ferocity as a blade appeared in his hand, thrusting straight towards his own neck.

"Trying to kill yourself?" Law flicked his fingers slightly, instantly disarming the CP0 agent.

"Bastards, let me out!"

"I'll kill all of you! Every last one of you deserves to die!"

Kurozumi Orochi glared viciously at the figures standing before him, snarling.

Yet, hardly anyone paid attention to him.

Law slowly clenched his fingers and an arcane force acted upon the two within the barrier.

Their bodies suddenly shuddered violently.

In an instant— Two ethereal wisps drifted out of them, guided by the power of the Op-Op Fruit, and floated into each other's bodies.

Once the process was complete, Kurozumi Orochi, who had been cursing nonstop, abruptly fell silent.

His eyes grew vacant and lifeless.

The translucent barrier vanished, leaving only a gentle breeze sweeping through the area.

"Done." Law exhaled a warm breath and spoke calmly.

Known as the "Surgeon of Death," he possessed a unique ability—to swap memories, or rather, souls.

Now, the pressure shifted entirely to Kurozumi Orochi's side.

"Speak."

"What was the World Government's order in that memory just now?" Bob gazed at the three serpent heads of Kurozumi Orochi and asked softly.

Though the words were spoken softly, they carried boundless killing intent, sending chills down his spine.

Kurozumi Orochi's vacant pupils gradually focused as his consciousness returned.

Memories of CP0 flooded into his mind like a tidal wave.
