Chapter 10 - Finishing Jurassic World and spoils of adventure

With a quick swing of its tail, I activate the Rainbow Life Rune, which flashes brightly to protect the others and myself. With a loud bang, a shimmering rainbow barrier blocks the tail. A second later, I am bursting with energy, and as I look around, I notice that the others are even more energized than me. I stand up and launch Gleipnir at Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, keeping its jaw closed to improve our chances of winning.

With its jaw held shut, it started using its tail more forcefully, trying to crush us under its claws, sending Slayer flying through the trees and into the swamp with a powerful swing of its long tail. Taking a risk, Oviraptor leaped onto Tyrannos's back and began to bite and scratch at the flesh, but its efforts were largely ineffective due to the resilience of its thick hide. Doing my part, I used the Dark spirit of the silent summoning, a red spirit that started to fly throughout the marsh swamp, causing me to lose sight of it.

After a minute, Slayer returns with a giant leap into the air. He lands a powerful jump kick to Tyranno's head, causing it to stumble back before slamming him with its tail into the muddy ground of the clearing, launching mud everywhere. Oviraptor managed to get to one of the purple gem-like structures on Tyranno's side and used its ability to eat souls to start draining its energy and weakening him, but this caused Tyranno to go berserk and start slapping its back with its tail, attempting to get Oviraptor off its back. Taking my chance, I started to launch Dragon's gunfire at its other energy storage and at its eyes in an attempt to blind it.

As this was going on, the red spirit started to fly through all the monsters it came across, possessing them and sending them toward the clearing to help in the fight.

Back at the clearing, Slayer plunges his fist right into the eye of Ultimate Conductor Tyrannos, destroying it, and jumps away before it can retaliate. Oviraptor was finally shaken off and hit with a devastating kick straight into a nearby boulder, shattering it from the impact, releasing this we can't continue with the damage it is inflicting on us compared to what we can do to it. Suddenly, multiple monsters appeared from all around the edge of the clearing and began to attack Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, overwhelming it.

Then it stomped again, releasing a wave of purple energy, causing everything to stop moving. Then it went on to slaughter our reinforcements before they could recover, using the orange gem. I sensed that the other gem, located near its heart, was working tirelessly to heal its current host with a powerful punch. I released my pulse of orange energy and threw it out into the clearing, covering everyone except Ultimate Conductor Tyranno, causing them to grow stronger and more aggressive and start to attack with even more vigor and bloodlust.

This struggle lasted for almost two hours, with both sides exhausting each other and depleting their energy. Most of our backup was either dead or had fled after the possession wore off. Looking up, I see that I'm running out of time before impact, so I need to finish this fight soon, but I'm almost out of energy. Suddenly, there is a large BOOM as Slayer lands a powerful punch to its head, destroying its nose and weakening it further, but I can tell that Slayer does not have much stamina left, while Oviraptor is still knocked out from the earlier attack.

With a desperate chance of finishing this, I pull out The Suppression Pluto from my pocket and start to release all my negative and positive emotions and mix them into my BA before infusing it into the card, awakening the monster's spirit separate from Tragoedia, and it drains most of my energy before suddenly, from up above, a dark comet comes crashing to the earth and topples Ultimate Conductor Tyrannos to the ground, and as the dust clears, from where it hit stands a purple and black-bodied monster with silver claws and horns and multiple red eyes on its chest and two tail-like tendrils coming from its back that end with sharp ends. With a new ally, we were reinvigorated to finish this fight.

Starting off, it started to use dark energy to hold down Ultimate Conductor Tyranno with slayer using the last of its strength to cut its thick hide and i launched one more attack with the last of my strength Shield crush blasting through multiple layers of its muscles and then its ribs and finally exposing its heart but the attack didn't finish it but Pluto was close to rip out its heart using its sharp, powerful claws finally killing Ultimate Conductor Tyranno with it disintegrating into a whirlwind of gold and purple dust rushing into my pocket and in Pluto's hand is the slightly drained gem; handing it to me, it latched itself to my right hand just like the orange one with it suckured i collapse on my back looking up and passing out.

In my dream I see the fountain again, and instead of the people from last time, there is someone in an all-white outfit and white mask with no facial features beckoning me to come closer. As I try to reach the figure, I move closer and closer, and when I am right in front of him, he holds out his hand and launches an ice-blue rune into the spot where my hand should be. Suddenly feeling a chill, I awaken from my slumber.

I am still in the clearing, surrounded by Slayer to my left, Pluto directly in front of me, and Oviraptor feasting on all the souls from the battle. Looking up, I see I only have about an hour before impact. Upon concentrating on my energy reserves, I observe that they have returned to their full capacity, and the gems have also reached their maximum charge. "Alright, time to go home, everyone," i said happily, receiving three confirmations of approval

Pulling out the Jurassic World card, I start to send energy into it, and in a flash of light, I'm pulled into it like an apparition from Harry Potter, but instead of appearing back in my room instantly, I'm being flung through the void between worlds. The best comparison would be the blind eternity of Magic: The Gathering. Looking around, I could see many other worlds; some I could recognize from their field spells, others I had no clue what could be there. Some looked like generic science fiction worlds.

After what felt like two hours, I finally saw the dual monsters on Earth. As I got closer, a fog of pure darkness manifested itself and shot toward me. When it approached, a murder of emerald green and gold crows appeared around me before diving into the darkness and scattering it back into space, fading away as quickly as they had come. As I got closer to Earth, I could sense many powerful energy signatures: five coming from Egypt, several from North and South America, some from Greece, many from Asia, and a massive energy signature from the center of Earth. Finally, I locked in on the ones coming from Scandinavia—likely the three I was supposed to find: one is somewhere in Denmark, the second is in Iceland, and the last is in northern Finland.

With another flash of light, I appear back in my room, right in the middle of the floor. I get up, take off my backpack, and put the obsidian and geodes I collected from the volcano on the desk before putting the bag off to the side. Turning around on my bed, I found a cloak and breastplate made from the hide of Black Tyranno. Both items are thick enough to resist most blades, soft on the inside, and waterproof; I will enhance their quality and long-term durability.

Looking at the date on my computer, my eyes almost jump out of my head as I see that 6 days have passed here while two have passed in the other. Checking my communicator, I see that I don't have any missed messages, and the only notification is some DP sent from my dad. Then I see a pile of new field spells. Next I pull out the cards I could feel in my pocket. As I look through the cards, I realize that I have almost enough for a whole deck. I just slot in some of the cards I got from Gramps. The most notable cards are the high-level monsters, and the gems I found are the two morganite cards.

After getting out of the shower, I prepare some dinner and check the mail. I see a letter from Mom, and inside are a few pictures from the excavation site. She found a hidden temple, and one of the pictures shocks me because it is art of a woman with long hair with a large bow riding a bear, with the text under it being a poem in reverence for her. It's too early for cards like hers to be made, but maybe I could make one for her myself. I will have to see if I can modify it to work during this period,' I thought while studying the picture. I will need to determine whether Pegasus can assist me with this, given all his experience.

Looking through the other pictures, I see some hints to the energy sources I felt near Greece, but they are too vague to get anything solid—just some potential starting points after I finish dinner. Pluto's card glows and Tragoedia appears in a cloud of black smoke. "You have been busy the past few days. I could feel the amount of energy you were generating, so what happened?" he asked with a mischievous but genuine tone. I responded while rereading the steps for making cards. "I have a way into the different spirit worlds, which, as far as I can tell, are different from the one that Atem and the others worked with to stop the Great Leviathan, and I got a couple of new toys that will be useful to both our goals," I said, raising both hands and showing him the gems.

"The orange one amplifies all my physical and magical abilities as far as I can tell. I will have to do more testing with it later, and the purple one has some power over time. Weaker creatures that entered its radius in the spirit world aged to dust, but stronger monsters were aged into their stronger forms, so a lot of testing will have to be done to know its limits, but if used right, we could repair your stone tablet faster," I said, turning around and facing him. "That does sound useful and I see that pluto has developed its own spirit now that's good I have made more progress in relocating the current welders from the other cards to that academy; they are expected to arrive in a few months," he said while floating around the room.

"Good, when we get there, I'll find the Light and Darkness Dragon's grave, and we should be able to revive you in a few days." As long as we don't alert the Winged Kuriboh, we should not have any problems," I said as I sent a message to Pegasus to schedule a meeting for tomorrow. "Alright, I will let you know if anything happens," he said before going back into Pluto and disappearing.

Waking up in the morning i see pegasus responded and that i can see him at noon for lunch and see what i need After getting dressed, i head out to the center district and start looking through the library and checking out some old occult books that were so old they were covered in dust and a few books on alchemy. Checking out, I head out and start to explore and find an arcade. I decided I will hang out and play some games while I wait for my meeting with Pegasus.

Making my way into the industrial illusions building, I am greeted by Pegasus's assistant, who guides me to his private work area, where I see Pegasus painting a new monster that looks like Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle. After Pegasus puts the finishing touches, a small flash occurs, I hear a soft purr, and the canvas transforms into a card. Pegasus, with a gentle hand, moves the card over to a small ornate box before putting it in a secure safe. "Jason, boy, it is wonderful to see you again. I was just finishing the last card for the winner of the European tournament from a few months ago. He and his family should be here in a few hours. I will introduce you to them later; in the meantime, could you please let me know how I can assist you? he asked with sincerity

"Actually, it has to do with what you were just doing. I would like help with creating my own cards. I felt a pull to this art on the temple my mom sent me," I said, handing him the picture and pointing to it. "Oh, I see. Well, that would be wonderful. Come, let's get you set up," he said, a little overjoyed as he pulled out multiple blank canvases that radiate magic. "Before we start with that monster, we need to work on the basics of card creation," he said, a bit distantly. "Any mistake can cause it to fail, and you'll have to start over. I'll teach you to make these canvases so you don't need Kiba Boys machines and computers that strip the cards of their spirit.

"Strip them of their spirit?" I asked, a bit confused, "Yes, you see, when a card is made with a computer and machines, it just copies cards that are already made or mixes the spirits of existing monsters, but the soul is not there. But if in the hands of duelists like Yugi Boy or Joey Boy, those cards can gain a spirit from those duelists and then grow stronger, but otherwise they never develop spirits. Making cards by hand like I will show you will be easier since you will be drawing existing monsters and spirits and calling them to you. For example, my toon monsters did have spirits that existed before, so I had to make them using my BA and memories of monsters that already exist alongside memories of my childhood," he said with the tone of a master passing down his craft with some nostalgia at the end

"Making the cards by hand is better if you're making them yourself, and they'll be more powerful and easier to strengthen later?" I ask, trying to clear this up. "Correct, you could even make cards for your friends in the future, boy," he said with a wide smile. " now let's get started," he said with a clap of his hands

After a few hours of practicing creating common cards of all five types, experiencing both successes and failures, I finally grasped the concept. Suddenly, a knock on the door greeted me: "Mister Pegasus, your other guests are here." With that, practice came to an end. "Amazing job today, Jason, my boy. You are a natural at this. You should be able to make those cards you want in a few weeks—plenty of time before you go to dual academy," he said like a proud teacher walking into the dining room from last time, where there sits a person my age along with his parents, all three with teal green hair, and they are speaking Finnish with each other, and from what I can make out, they are talking about what might be served for dinner and how enjoyable the trip was. Then Pegasus spoke in perfect Finnish. "Hello, i hope that the flight here was not to bad," he said with a wide smile

"It wasn't bad," they said. "Who is this young man, Mister Pegasus?" "Oh, that's my apprentice, Jason. I'm teaching him the art of making cards," he said like a parent showing off their kid. After this interaction, it was time for dinner, where Pegasus was talking to the Andersons, and I was talking to and befriending Jesse. Then Pegasus stood up after dessert. "Now, Jesse boy, it's time to give you your prize from the last tournament," he said, and after he finished, Pegasus's assistant walked in with an ornate white deck box and handed it to Jesse. "I present you with the Crystal Beast," Pegasus said in a showman-like voice, and as Jesse opened the box, the Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle spirit popped out and jumped on his shoulder, wrapping itself around his neck and getting comfortable. "It's late, Jason; I'll have my assistant drive you home to rest." Additionally, I will send you some canvases every Monday for your practice, and please tell me when you succeed in making those cards you want. Now, to you, my fine guest, I will show you to your rooms; please follow me," he said with a worn-out voice.
