(Lore)

The year is 23 years since the founding of the Divers guild. The founding of the guild was caused by an unprecedented event known as "Ragnarock." This event caused the drowning of the surface dwellers, and thus formed the new civilization with the helps of god like figures that appeared suddenly.

These higher beings call themselfs the Veiwers, and are commanded by a group called the Admins. After helping the stabilization of the flooding, a new capital of humanity arose in the fall of the old. This city was called, the Pentagon.

The event of Ragnarock caused a surge of unknown sea life that threatened to plunge humanity into near extinction. However the Admins with near limitless power fortified layers upon layers of unknown substance to conjoin into a sort of wall that separated the remaining surface and the underground that the pentagon's inhabitants now call home.

This event was known as the Dividing, and has caused most known knowledge of the surface to be lost in changing times. Now stuck beneath the waves. The hope of survival was dim, and food scarce to non.

But, the Veiwers had other plans. They used the opportunity to struck up a deal with the remaining survives. In exchange for help, the humans must offer one small price… entertainment.

Entertainment in scavenging the floors of layors that lie just below them. Filled with fauna that had participated in the event of Ragnarock.

However the Veiwers promised to provide a source of strength to combat the unknown, and that was a mainstay of human survival. The System, a interface filled with stats of the user and a shop filled to the brim with resources to help man-kind.

However, as all should know, everything comes at a price. This price however was in the form of a new currency. Called Value, this currency is the main way for humans to power the "strength" the Veiwers promised.

The "strength" comes in the form of objects that hold great power within them. The objects are power by Value and called Jewels. That is their official name given by the system shop.

(Value)

In the year 21 before the founding of the guild, the currency of Value was established as the key to survival.

Value works in many ways , and the main concept of value is a currency to exchange in the shop provided by the Veiwers. The shop offers anything discovered and is clearly documented in public files in the system.

Another use of value is aura, an application of value that hinders advancement of most attacks weaker in Value than the users output of Value. Most like another layer of clothing that can help with reaching distances not reachable with normal limbs. Alongside defense as well.

However that amount of Value is dictated by the Value of the user's being. This is often put into three categories.

Body- the physical factors that are of Value.

Fluctuates based on the condition of the body.

Spirit- the manifestation of blessings or curses inhabiting the user, also based on the soul of the user however the souls inate value will only be added on to the blessing and curses if acquired, and will not fluctuate. Unless a special event occurs to the user. Like selling your soul.

Mind- the knowledge and combined info in the memories of the user. This form of Value fluctuates frequently.

These three factors add up the total value of the user alongside items of importance carried on the person.

Furthermore the use of value is near limitless as long as you are ready to expend great amounts. To the Veiwers, anything is negotiable with Value on the line.

And now the final application of value, is called a mana pool. The amount of mana one has is fixed at birth and can only decrease.

Mana can be used to perform magic spells and activate runic symbols found in the depths.

Mana is used mainly to combat foes that live in the depths as normal weapons cannot harm them. However mana cannot be used to hurt a surface dweller as they do not live in dense areas of mana and therefore cannot generate mana naturally.

(This is why the fauna and flora of the depths use physical attacks and value powered attacks, as opposed to using the far more lethal but less versatile mana powered attacks.)

The density of mana cancels the pure use of value in most jewels and jams their useage based on the amount of mana used this also works for creatures that use value as a means of energy, this can stun them

Final note- value can be obtained by exchange of items in the shop interface/system and by taking it from defeated foes that has a dense enough amount of value that it doesn't just dissipate after death.

Which is not most flora.

(Golden rules)

-Rules of order that all must obey.

This is an rule that limits certain actions if occurred beyond manageable limits.

These rules acts as a force that balances all.

The main ways it does these is by the Mist, a force of law that inhibits the disturbances of natural order, only exceptions being people whose Value eclipses the one used in the mist, and this act is most unlikely.

Other laws are not explicitly known besides one that was created with the help of the Admins, by a guy nicknamed "the hero of the golden age."

This law states that all beings of the cycle of life deserves a second chance at life.

The greater of this law has not been seen since the the collapse of half of the 10th layor due to a second Ragnarock.

(Jewels)

The Jewels are devices that function using the use of value. However beings have modified these Jewels into what are called artifacts- man made Jewels that are powered using mana instead of value.

Jewels can be found in the depths and become more powerful the further you descend unit he floors.

Higher beings that watch the divers for entertainment.

Not much is known about them except for the fact that they issue quests upon mortals for entertainment in exchange for rewards.

(Floors)

Layer of the depth called floors.

Containing different flora and fauna each floor down.

The entrance to the next floor is always guarded by a gate guardian.

The deeper you go the harder it gets to survive. Sometimes there are even events that happen one each floor that are harder than some gate guardians, and they can roam freely as long as they can defeat the corresponding gate guardian.

This floor is a deep darker water biome.

This floor is covered by ice and must use specialized goggles when venturing here.

Floor four: shatter dome (10star)

This floor introduces-

Poison mist, spacial ruptures, headaches, shattered eardrums, coma, shifting gravity, shaking vision, unsteady footing, skin irritation, swelling, disable depth perception, impaired movement, sudden weather change, rapid temperature change, crystal protrusion, extra pressure, dizziness, irrational thoughts, trust issues, sudden death, personality shifts, acidic atmosphere, organ failure, coordination issues, extra sensitivity, Nerve damage, spacial distortions, paranoia, anxiety, time dilation, and more.

In this layer the flora is a bunch of crystal like organisms that filter feed the poisonous mists micro organisms. The terrain is littered with floating rocks with water like liquid streaming from beneath. Alongside dangerous fauna and the shattering of objects from the most basic movements, like moving a certain body part too fast or falling from 2 inches. Then your bodily organs will rupture, bones shatter, and if protrudes from the clothing you wear. Burn from the acidic atmosphere.

Technically the city is pentagon in shape but is divided into districts like the shape of a pentagram.
