HIGH WITCH MORGANA POV
My hands were shaking as I drew the tying circle with my own blood.
The Shadow Lord's laughter echoed through the room. Oberyn's golden barrier had just shattered, and I could feel the darkness pressing against my thoughts like a hammer.
"Hurry, Morgana!" Aria yelled from across the room.
I was trying. But the spell I was about to cast had never been tried before. The ancient texts warned that it would either bind the Shadow Lord forever or kill me quickly.
Maybe both.
I'd been the High Witch of the Northern Covens for sixty years. I'd seen magic that could move mountains and spells that could bring back the dead. But I'd never tried anything this dangerous.
The problem was easy. The Shadow Lord was too powerful now. He'd taken Oberyn's immortality and grown stronger than ever. Normal binding spells wouldn't work on him.
But there was one spell that might.
