Chapter 26 - First Signs of Wealth!

The days in Geldhan village were like this.

Gort was speechless by the matter, especially after seeing how hilarious the elderly were treating the company's site.

In the end, Gort decided to allow the grandchildren of these people to get the First Draft Pick when the company under construction was finalized. He also gave them free food daily, which greatly rejuvenated the souls of these old fogies.

Since that Village dinner, everyone's mouth has been watering for more Company products.

What sort of taste was that?—It was indescribable.

These elderly people also found their bodies feeling way stronger than before. So after realizing how incredulous their 'company' was, how dare they not protect it with everything in their heart?

"Ki-Mo-Ra!... It's you again! What the hell are you doing laying on the grass and hiding behind the Prairie like a thief?!"

"That's right? What the hell are you doing over there?"

Their voices were so loud one could hear them yell from the furthest end of the village.

"You better–" The old men paused when hearing the roar of vehicles from a distance. "Great! They are here!"

The old men jumped several feet high, forgetting their ages.

Bah! In the presence of history in the making, who cares about Old Age?

"They're here! They're here!"

Countless people screamed, jumped out their windows, left their farms and even left the fishing boats to rush towards the company's direction, behind the uncountable number of tracks that drove by.

"10!"

"No! 14…"

"Wrong again! 30!"

"Oh my God! I count 50!"

"65! 66… 68… 70!"

Several people fell to their knees when seeing so many industrial transport trucks kicking the dust and zooming in with focus.

"Great! Great!"

"Hahahahahahaha… Little Gort said that only when the trucks show, will our money truly be here."

"That's right! Don't forget that during the last dinner, our money bags still had to go back, test and think about it before signing contracts with our company!"

"Wipe! Who was it that said that we will regret endorsing Gort?"

"Who was it that said they would rather chew rocks than believe Gort can ever make so much money for us?"

Wooooo~

Several villagers rubbed their watery eyes with their sleeves, knowing that their money was truly here!

Because many were anticipating today's matter, they had already applied to volunteer in packing and loading all goods.

Who were they? Farmers at heart—Strong farmers who could carry bags of tomatoes, grains, and onions, cabbages, and other foods on their heads while loading their own goods for the markets.

So today, everyone had temporary access cards. And although they chose to volunteer, they would be paid with 1 or 2 company foods to take back home.

The Giant watermelon? The Giant Tomato? The massive Ginseng?... Which one is it? Well, no matter which goodies they get from them, everyone would be pleased. You don't know that since attending the company's dinner, the food at home didn't taste so good any more.

They just…

Sigh… they felt the difference was like heaven and hell.

Stepping into the company, they looked around with excitement. This was the first time a majority of them stepped in since the walls were constructed.

Well, I'll be damned!

Several people were taken aback by how otherworldly the space between the walls were. Even the company workers and guards who came here everyday were amazed by the enchanting surroundings.

Soon, the group of villagers rolled up their sleeves and began transporting and loading up all goods on the trucks.

"45th Basket!"

"64th Basket!"

"89!..."

"... I00!"

'109…"

"128…"

The numbers kept going up, as they loaded. These village comrades were full of energy, counting baskets, like counting money in their bank accounts.

"Easy there, yah filthy dog! Don't throw them like that!"

"Careful boy! Just 1 basket of Ginseng can buy out this old man's salary in a heartbeat!"

As the men and boys worked, the women crowded around, talking and calculating the money in their pockets.

Everyone was very excited and celebratory, except for the other few households who refused to invest in the company. With menacing eyebrows, they stared at the culprits who messed with their chances.

Dammit! Where is their machete? You can play with a man's heart, but you should never play with his money!

"Old Poe, I want you all to die for me now!"
