As Trina rushed back to school, I couldn't help but think about what might have triggered Alex's urgent message. I knew Trina and Alex had gotten into a fight a few weeks ago, and things had been tense between them ever since.
It all started when Alex had taken the side of a girl Trina had been arguing with. Trina had felt betrayed, and the two had gotten into a heated argument. Now, with the school party just around the corner, I had a feeling things were about to get even more complicated.
When Trina arrived at school, she was greeted by Alex's angry face. "What took you so long?" he demanded.
Trina stood her ground. "I was busy. What's going on?"
Alex's eyes narrowed. "You know exactly what's going on. You've been avoiding me for weeks."
Just then, a girl with a bright smile and adoring eyes walked up to Alex. "Hey, Alex! I'm so glad you're here."
Alex's expression softened, and he smiled back at the girl. Trina's eyes rolled in annoyance.
"Great," she muttered under her breath. "Just what I needed. Another one of Alex's fan girls."
The girl, whose name was Tashia, looked at Trina with a mixture of curiosity and hostility. "And who are you?" she asked.
Trina smiled sweetly. "Just a friend of Alex's. We have a... complicated history."
Tashia's eyes sparkled with interest. "Oh? Do tell."
I watched as Trina and Sophia engaged in a passive-aggressive conversation, with Alex caught in the middle. It was clear that Trina and Alex still had unresolved issues, and Sophia's presence was only adding fuel to the fire.
