Chapter 183 - Vali, you're far beneath him!

What Kokabiel said shocked Vali, and he turned his full attention to Roy.

He had always been curious about his fated rival, the Red Dragon Emperor, and took him seriously, yet couldn't help feeling a touch of arrogance.

After all, he was recognized as the strongest White Dragon Emperor in history by many, especially by Azazel.

Azazel, who witnessed the era of the original White Dragon Emperor and possessed immense strength, gave Vali's title undeniable weight.

This inevitably made Vali somewhat proud.

While he respected his rival, the Red Dragon Emperor, he firmly believed he would never lose to him.

But Kokabiel's words shattered that confidence.

Vali didn't doubt Kokabiel's claims.

Beyond Kokabiel's pitiful state, there was no reason for him to lie to deceive Vali.

Vali himself could discern truth from falsehood.

He sensed that, despite Kokabiel's attempt to stir trouble, he was speaking the truth.

"Hard to believe?" Kokabiel said mockingly. "Do you think Azazel, who calls you the strongest White Dragon Emperor, believes you can truly crush your rival?"

"I never thought that way," Vali replied with a cold snort. "My rival should naturally be as strong as possible."

"Only then is he worthy of being my opponent!"

Vali had already noticed that Roy's aura suggested strength comparable to an ultimate class devil.

Even without using his Longinus, Roy had recently stepped into this realm.

To defeat Kokabiel, a cadre class fallen angel, Roy's true strength must exceed what was currently visible.

Otherwise, defeating Kokabiel without injury would be impossible.

It could only mean Roy was holding back his strength or that his aura had weakened after the battle.

After all, Kokabiel was a cadre class fallen angel, just one step from Satan-level strength.

Without using a Longinus, defeating him without cost was unthinkable.

"Hahaha, you're a battle maniac. You should've joined me," Kokabiel said with a pitying look. "If I had succeeded in starting another three factions war, you could've fought to your heart's content."

As a fallen angel cadre, Kokabiel understood Vali's nature to some extent.

Vali was a battle-crazed warrior, driven by a thirst for combat.

Order and peace held little value in his eyes.

"You?" Vali's tone dripped with contempt. "You think too highly of yourself. Compared to Azazel, you're not even on the same level."

"You're far beneath him."

"Even Azazel, the very wings of the fallen angels, is deeper and darker than you."

Vali sneered, mocking Kokabiel's words.

"Azazel!" Kokabiel growled, resentment flaring as he spoke with frustration. "That complacent fool! Our fallen angels had the upper hand, yet he hides away, tinkering with artificial Sacred Gears in the Grigori!"

"Azazel is no idiot like you," Vali said, shaking his head.

From Vali's understanding, Azazel was a cunning, hidden genius.

"You'd better focus on how to take me from the Red Dragon Emperor to complete Azazel's mission," Kokabiel said with a venomous tone, no longer caring about life or death, fully prepared for his end.

"Azazel rarely gives me tasks, and I don't intend to disappoint him," Vali said, turning to Roy. "Kokabiel is a small fry to us. No need to waste energy on him."

"So, what price are you prepared to pay?" Roy asked with interest. "Kokabiel came to Kuoh Town, caused a mess, and even targeted my fiancée and friend. Though he failed, I'm not letting him off easily."

"I'd love to fight you here," Vali said, his helmet retracting to reveal short silver hair and a handsome face. In any world, strength was the ultimate authority.

He shrugged with a light smile and continued, "But it seems I'm not your match right now."

Vali glanced around, hinting, "Besides, this isn't a good battlefield. If we fought, Kuoh Academy, even Kuoh Town, might be caught in the crossfire. That's not what you want, is it?"

"I could try defeating you before it comes to that," Roy said with a smile.

"Forget it. Azazel told me not to cause trouble," Vali replied, his eyes burning with fighting spirit that quickly faded. "Kokabiel is Azazel's target. If you have demands, take them up with him."

"I'll take the guy back for now."

"As for your issue, I'll discuss it with Azazel."

"He'll likely come to see you."

"What do you say?"

Roy pondered for a few seconds, then smiled and said, "Fine."

He also wanted to gain insight into Sacred Gears from Azazel, so doing him a favor wasn't a bad idea.

Vali was surprised, not expecting Roy to agree so readily.

"Good," Vali nodded, a smile of approval on his face. "I'll take him away."

"You're ahead of me now," he added, lifting the half dead Kokabiel, "but I'll surpass you soon."

Before flying off, Vali left that bold declaration.

"Red, you've found an excellent host," Albion's voice echoed.

"Your host is impressive too," Ddraig replied.

"I look forward to their next meeting, when they'll settle the score," Albion said.

"Our side won't lose," Ddraig responded calmly, brimming with confidence.

"Let's wait and see," Albion said.

With that, Vali soared into the sky with Kokabiel, vanishing into the night within moments.
