Chapter 143 - Loki Familia's Discussion
Roy, Ais, and Lefiya went to the guild's bank and withdrew the stored money.
After splitting the money, Roy handed the magic stones and drop items from his solo deep floors run to Lefiya, asking for her help.
"You're really good at ordering people around!" Lefiya looked at the large bag of drop items and magic stones piled high, complaining loudly.
That said, she reached out, taking the backpack from Roy.
"But I'll handle this after returning."
"No problem—I've got enough valis now anyway," Roy nodded.
"Or..." Lefiya's words trailed off.
"What?" Roy asked, puzzled.
"Nothing," Lefiya snorted softly.
"We'll sell the magic stones and drop items together when the expedition returns."
Lefiya planned to introduce reliable merchants so Roy could sell them himself.
But as the words formed, she regretted it.
Bargaining with merchants was exhausting, and Roy didn't seem the haggling type.
He'd likely get shortchanged.
Just repaying his favor—don't want to waste his time.
Lefiya consoled herself thus.
Of course, whether favor-repayment or another reason, even Lefiya wasn't entirely sure.
"I'll speak to Finn about you joining the expedition when I return," Ais said seriously.
"Thanks a lot. I'll await good news," Roy smiled, nodding.
He then parted from them, heading to Hephaestus's store to find Hestia.
Loki Familia.
In the office, Finn discussed the Familia expedition with Riveria and others.
"Finn, is your selected expedition team a bit sloppy?" Bete sat casually on the table's edge, displeasure evident.
"Raul, Line, and others are Level 4 now, and Lefiya's Level 3 joining. Sure she's not dragging us?"
Actually, the team included several Level 3s, even Level 2s.
But those Level 2 and 3 members would stop following once reaching their safe floor limit.
Lefiya was the only Level 3 allowed to follow to floors beyond the 50th.
"Why Lefiya? Riveria's clearer on that. Let her explain?" Finn remained composed, unangered by Bete's question.
"No need for me—Finn?" Riveria rolled her eyes, sighing.
"You haven't teamed with Lefiya, so you don't know her potential."
"Though only Level 3, with magic boosts and skills, her power far exceeds her level."
"Magic surpasses ordinary Level 5 mages. Even stronger."
"Plus, mastering concurrent chanting—though not perfectly—she's no longer monster bait. She can self-protect even in deep floors."
"Tch, who knows if it's true!" Bete scoffed.
He'd heard of Lefiya but never witnessed it.
"Enough, Bete—questioning the captain's decision?" Another Loki Familia member, Tiona's sister Tione, glared angrily at Bete.
"..."
Bete's face stiffened, lips curling.
"Really, you Amazons are all boy-crazy."
"Idiot, none of my business," Tiona glared displeasedly, retorting.
"My sister's captain-obsessed—not me!"
"Ugh," Finn smiled helplessly, sighing.
"Riveria, urge supplies prep," Finn changed topics.
"More members reaching deep floors this time."
Past expeditions ended from supply exhaustion, unable to delve deeper, forcing return.
With more high-class adventurers, supporters increased, boosting carryable supplies.
Especially this time, several more Level 5s than last.
"Mm, I'll tell them," Riveria nodded.
"Sorry, Finn. I'm late," Ais knocked, entering, apologizing.
"No matter—this is just expedition discussion," Finn smiled, shaking his head.
"Finn, I'd like to recommend someone for our expedition," Ais glanced around, speaking directly.
"Oh?" Finn pondered. "Hestia Familia's Roy Flott?"
Spot on.
Recently, only Roy connected deeply with Ais.
And only he earned Ais's high regard.
"Yes, him," Ais nodded.
"What?" Bete looked incredulous, sneering.
"Ais, are you joking?"
"An outsider in our expedition? Strength aside, what about elsewhere?"
"Ais, really Roy?" Unlike Bete, Tiona's face lit with surprise.
"He'll join our expedition?"
