Adi walks up beside Rian, standing face-to-face.
Adi: Be ready.
Rian: I don't have time for you.
As Rian tries to walk past, Adi blocks his path with his shoulder, forcing him back into place.
Rian: I'll kill you.
Adi: No. I'll kill you.
Their mother rushes in, pushing Adi back and stepping between them.
Mother: Please, Adi. Don't fight!
Adi: I'm not going to fight him, don't worry…
He gently guides his mother aside.
Adi: Just stand here. Everything's fine.
He smiles lightly, then walks over to Sophia and extends his hand. She takes it, standing up with his help. Adi guides her to safety.
Adi: You too, Sophia. Stay here.
Sophia: Wait—you're seriously going to fight? I remember what you did to Rocky, but Rian isn't like him. He's not some amateur—
Adi: Then why did you try to punch him?
Sophia: T-that… I didn't even realize when—
Adi: Don't worry.
(He glances back at Rian, voice sharp)
I'm not going to fight...
He steps toward Rian again.
Adi (low): ...because I'm going to kill him now.
He dashes forward with a right hook—Rian blocks it.
Adi follows with a running knee aimed for Rian's face, but he dodges.
Rian scoffs mid-movement.
Rian: If I had the time, I'd kill you right now. But I don't—
Adi doesn't stop. He launches into back-to-back spinning high kicks. Rian blocks with his forearm. The momentum forces them outside.
Adi goes for another kick. Rian catches his leg—but Adi flips, landing with one hand on the ground and recovering instantly.
Rian: You really want to kill me today?
Adi (burning): You bet I do. And I won't let you walk away. I'm burning inside after what you did… after what you said when I got the news about my father…
Suddenly, Sophia runs in and grabs Adi from behind, hugging him tightly.
Adi: Sophia?! What are you doing?! Go back inside!
Sophia (desperate): No—I won't! Please… not for me. For your mom.
Adi (alarmed): What? What happened?
Sophia: She… she collapsed when you were fighting.
Adi's rage disappears in a heartbeat. He bolts toward the house.
Rian watches silently.
Rian (under his breath): Guess I'll kill you later…
He turns, climbs onto his bike, and rides off.
Inside, Adi carries his mother into her room.
Mother's Room
She lies on the bed, pale and resting. A doctor stands near her while Adi and Sophia watch from the door.
Adi: How's my mother? Is she going to be alright?
Doctor: I've given her medicine. Please make sure she stays on bed rest for at least three to four days. No stress.
Adi: Got it. Thank you, Doctor.
The doctor nods and exits.
Sophia: But she collapsed so suddenly… It's strange.
Adi: Yeah… it is. But her health hasn't been the same since father passed.
Sophia: What? Since then? What exactly happened?
Adi: She's been dealing with a lot. Let's not get into that now…
And please, take care of her. I have to head to the office.
Sophia: Alright…
Adi turns and starts walking to the main door.
Sophia: A-Adi…
Adi pauses and looks back.
Adi: Yeah?
Sophia: Take care of yourself too.
Adi gives a small, tired smile.
Adi: Thanks.
He leaves and starts riding his bike through the streets. Wind brushing past, his eyes focused, jaw clenched.
Adi (thoughts):
Mother… please be okay. What happened today shouldn't have. But still…
I really want to kill that bastard.
Rian...
Sophia stands in the kitchen, wearing an apron. She looks around thoughtfully.
Sophia (thoughts): Alright, let's get started. Lunch for Mom… maybe Adi took his lunch with him? Oh—and something for Anya too.
She begins chopping vegetables, then fries and seasons them. Meanwhile, she checks on laundry spinning in the machine and walks over to Mother's room.
Mother is sitting up in bed, adjusting her pillow.
Sophia: Why are you sitting up? Please, just lie down. I'm handling everything around the house. If you need anything, just call me, okay?
Mother looks at her softly.
Mother: My dear… it's your first day after marriage, and you're already taking care of everything...
Sophia: It's alright. Just rest. I've made lunch too. Now tell me, is there anything we need? I can head out shopping—there's still time before lunch.
Mother: No, no, you don't have to go—
Sophia: Mom… didn't you say I'm your daughter now?
Mother smiles, a little defeated but fond.
Mother: I did… alright. There's a list in my drawer. The nearby mall has good quality stuff.
Sophia: Got it. I'll go.
She grabs the list and heads out.
Sophia enters the mall, scanning her list.
Sophia (thoughts): Let's start with clothes. A shirt for Adi… something casual for Anya...
She walks into a clothing store and approaches a worker.
Sophia: I need a shirt for a man, please.
Worker: Come this way, ma'am.
As Sophia browses, another woman stands nearby. About her age, wearing a white round-neck t-shirt under an open printed shirt with rolled sleeves, jeans, and a cap. The woman argues with the same worker.
Woman: This price is too high. It doesn't make sense.
Sophia glances over.
Sophia: What's wrong?
Woman: I'm not good with prices, but this one's just… way too high.
Sophia checks.
Sophia: Almost double the normal rate…
Worker (rudely): If you don't want it, then leave.
Sophia: Huh? You can't just add whatever price you want!
Worker: Don't create a scene. If it's too much for you, get out.
Sophia: That's not how you treat customers!
Woman: Forget it, I'll leave.
Sophia: No—hold on. Should I call the owner of this place?
Worker: You know him?
Sophia: Since we were kids. Should I?
The worker suddenly shifts tone.
Worker: S-Sorry! Must be a pricing mistake.
Sophia (glaring): Was it, really?
Worker: Of course, ma'am! Buy anything you want! You too!
Outside the store, both women exit with shopping bags.
Woman: Thanks. Because of you, I got everything at a fair price. You really know the owner?
Sophia (smirking): Nah. That was a total bluff.
Woman: Really? You're awesome! What's your name?
Sophia: Sophia. You?
Woman: Riko. Wanna exchange numbers? I don't really have many friends…
Sophia: Why not? I don't have many either.
Riko: I should go now—finished my shopping.
As Riko turns, her phone slips from her pocket. Sophia picks it up.
Sophia: Riko, your phone!
Riko answers a call that comes through right then.
Riko: Hello? Yeah, I'm coming… it's done. I'll meet you outside.
She ends the call.
Sophia: Who was that?
Riko: Ah… my boyfriend.
Sophia: Oh, okay…
Riko (turning back): Look, there he is! That's him at the entrance.
Sophia glances over casually—until her eyes widen in disbelief. Her heart skips a beat.
Sophia: R-Riko… he's your boyfriend?
Riko (smiling): Yeah! That one.
Sophia: C-Can you tell me his name?
Riko (confused): Why?
Sophia (urgent): Please… just tell me.
Riko: It's… Rian.
Sophia's face goes pale
