The Rolls-Royce slowed to a graceful stop before the towering gates of the villa-a sprawling masterpiece gifted by Mother Xin herself. The night air was cool, scented faintly with jasmine and the soft hum of city lights beyond. Two seasoned security guards, their expressions calm but alert, stepped forward in perfect unison and opened the gates wide, their crisp uniforms catching the moonlight like polished obsidian.
As Qiao Zhi and Gu Yangjin stepped out, a row of maids appeared seemingly from nowhere, their poised smiles warm and practiced. They greeted the newlyweds with gentle bows, then swiftly and silently took their luggage from the car, moving with the fluid efficiency of a well-oiled machine. The air was filled with the subtle fragrance of fresh lilies and sandalwood, a signature of the Xin household.
"Welcome home, Young Mistress Qiao, Madam Gu," came a smooth, respectful voice. The professional-looking butler who emerged was a middle-aged man named Qin Bowen-known affectionately to Qiao Zhi as Uncle Qin. His silver-streaked hair and calm demeanor spoke of decades of loyal service to the Xin family.
"Uncle Qin," Qiao Zhi greeted warmly, her tone softening with genuine affection.
"Please, allow me to escort you to your rooms," he said, bowing slightly before leading them through the grand marble-floored hallways, the walls adorned with priceless calligraphy and delicate porcelain vases that caught the light like small stars.
The villa was a perfect blend of modern luxury and traditional elegance-vast open spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the night sky, and soft lighting that bathed everything in a warm, inviting glow. The scent of polished wood and fresh flowers lingered in the air.
Soon, Uncle Qin stopped before a pair of heavy, intricately carved wooden doors. "This is your master suite," he announced gently. "Everything has been prepared according to your preferences."
Qiao Zhi nodded with a smile, and Uncle Qin gave a final bow before quietly retreating, leaving the newlyweds alone.
Qiao Zhi reached out and pushed open the door, stepping inside with Gu Yangjin close behind her. Both were no strangers to luxury; they had lived lives where opulence was the norm. Yet this-this was different. This was their own space.
Gu Yangjin's eyes sparkled with excitement as she took in the room, her breath catching slightly. "Our bedroom," she whispered, as if saying it aloud made it more real.
The master bedroom was expansive, its high ceilings giving a sense of freedom and tranquility. The floor was polished dark walnut, cool underfoot, contrasting beautifully with the creamy silk rugs that softened the space.
A massive bed dominated the room-a low platform style with a headboard upholstered in soft, dove-gray velvet, flanked by minimalist nightstands holding delicate jade lamps that cast a soft, ambient light. Above the bed hung a large painting of plum blossoms, its subtle colors perfectly complementing the room's serene palette.
To one side, floor-to-ceiling windows stretched across the entire wall, their smart glass panels dimmed to a gentle opacity that shielded the room from outside view. Beyond the glass, a private garden glowed faintly under moonlight, with orchids and bamboo swaying in a light breeze.
Near the windows, a cozy sitting area was arranged with a pair of elegant armchairs and a low table, perfect for quiet mornings or late-night talks. The furniture was a tasteful mix of modern lines and traditional Chinese craftsmanship, the lacquered wood gleaming softly.
Opposite the bed was a sleek entertainment console, its surface free of clutter, housing a discreet, state-of-the-art sound system that promised perfect acoustics for music or film.
The lighting throughout the room was subtle but sophisticated-recessed ceiling lights with adjustable warmth, and hidden strips along architectural edges that could be controlled with a simple voice command or smartphone app.
Gu Yangjin moved slowly, touching the smooth surfaces, her smile growing wider. "This is where we'll sleep every night," she said softly, her voice full of wonder and promise.
Qiao Zhi stepped beside her, pulling her close. "Hmm..for this life," she murmured, her voice was low and seemed a little sad.
Gu Ynagjin heard her words and turned around to face her with a complicated look in her eyes. After all, she has recovered all her memories and naturally knows about everything. But she could not do anything about it as the fate of both of them rests in the hands of Qiao Zhi but she also knew how much Qiao Zhi has been suffering.
Gu Yangjin sighed slightly before closing the distance between the two of them and cupped Qiao Zhi's face in her hands before pulling herself into her arms in a warm hug.
She smiled slightly before saying with a gentle voice,
"I'm sorry. I.." But before she could say another word, Qiao Zhi suddenly tightened her grip around her slender waist and said in a muffled voice,
"No. Don't say sorry. You have nothing to be sorry about. I will meet you again in the next world and make you fall in love with me again. We will again live a happy life, just the two of us. It's not just the next world but every world after that."
Gu Yangjin's voice chocked in her throat as she didn't know what to say for a moment before she gently caressed Qiao Zhi's smooth hair and said,
"Umm.. I believe in you."
Gu Yangjin's voice was low but there seemed to be a firm determination within them. Suddenly, she asked,
"How much time do we have left in this world?"
Qiao Zhi hear her but was silent for a few seconds before saying,
"Almost 50 more years. That's the normal lifespan of the humans in this world. After that, I will immediately travel to the next world."
Gu Yangjin heaved a heavy breath after hearing her words and couldn't help but feel sad,
"50 years... That's too little. Sigh.. it's okay. Let's live this life without any regrets."
Qiao Zhi immediately smiled and hugged Gu Yangjin tightly in her arms before saying,
"Umm. Definitely. But, our body in this world would also grow old and wrinkly like the other humans." Her voice was slightly coquettish, making Gu Yangjin's mood improve as she said with a teasing smile,
"It's okay. I would still love you even if you are an old and wrinkly grandma."
The moment Qiao Zhi heard her words, it was as a large golden retriever has received some compliment from her master and couldn't help but take Gu Yangjin into her arms and ran straight onto the large and comfortable bed before pressing her down beneath her as she kissed those moist and pink lips that she has been starving for all this time.
Qiao Zhi pulled back just enough to look down at Gu Yangjin, her hair fanned out across the silk pillow. "You're ridiculously beautiful," she said with a soft grin, brushing a loose strand of hair from Gu Yangjin's forehead.
Gu Yangjin laughed, a little breathless. "You're just saying that because you want another kiss."
"Maybe I am," Qiao Zhi admitted, leaning in until her eyelashes brushed Gu Yangjin's cheeks.
Qiao Zhi leaned in again, her eyes locked on Gu Yangjin's parted lips, ready to claim another kiss. Their breath mingled in the candle-scented air, and her hand gently cupped Gu Yangjin's cheek—steady, familiar, full of longing.
But just as their lips were about to touch, Gu Yangjin tilted her head slightly, a slow, teasing smile curving her mouth. "Wait," she murmured, voice low and silk-smooth. Her fingers ghosted along the edge of Qiao Zhi's collar. "Take off my dress for me."
Qiao Zhi's breath caught. Her eyes darkened with heat.
Gu Yangjin's smile widened, eyes half-lidded with a quiet confidence that always drove Qiao Zhi wild.
Qiao Zhi didn't hesitate. She slid her hands up Gu Yangjin's sides with reverence, her fingers finding the delicate clasps at the back of the gown. One by one, they gave way beneath her touch, soft clicks filling the quiet space. The silk began to slip from Gu Yangjin's shoulders, revealing smooth skin, the gentle dip of her collarbones, the elegant curve of her neck.
The dress slid lower, pooling around Gu Yangjin's waist like liquid moonlight until finally it dropped to the floor in a soft whisper. Qiao Zhi stepped back slightly, her breath uneven as she took her in.
Gu Yangjin stood in front of her in nothing but her delicate ivory underwear—lace that clung lovingly to every dip and curve. Her long hair cascaded down her back, skin glowing warm under the golden light. Even after everything—after countless years of loving this woman across lives and worlds, through sorrow and triumph—Qiao Zhi's heart slammed against her ribs as if seeing her for the first time.
No. It was worse than the first time. Every time she saw her like this, it hit harder. Burned hotter.
Her blood roared in her veins, desire coiling deep in her belly like fire starved for air. It never lessened. If anything, the craving for Gu Yangjin only grew—sharp and unrelenting, no matter how many times they'd made love, no matter how many lifetimes they had shared. Qiao Zhi was helpless to it, hopelessly, willingly lost in her.

Anyway, I wanted to end this world within 15 chapters but I just couldn't help but write more and more about the cute and sexy interactions between our protagonists. Sigh..it seems it will take another 2 or 3 chapters to finish.
Don't forget to leave some comments as well. >.<
