The courtyard of Yuurahi Inn, which they used as the observation deck for Hajime and Serafall's fight, was lively with chatter. But in a more secluded corner, three figures stood silently, reflecting on what they had just witnessed.
Nurarihyon took a slow sip of his sake, his gaze fixed on the chaos in the distance. Hajime was sitting lazily on the grass, surrounded by members of the Sitri and Gremory peerages, the Slash Dog group, Yuragi Inn residents, and of course, his own companions. Sona, red to her ears, struggled to keep her composure as Serafall clung to her, sobbing dramatically.
"To think that boy over there being pounced by women is the same one who froze our Chief God in existential dread…" Nurarihyon muttered, shaking his head in amusement.
"He doesn't look the part, does he?" Sirzechs chuckled softly. "But I felt it—when Serafall went all out. The moment he created that satellite weapon and used it against her… for the first time in a long while, I felt small."
Azazel nodded, as he swirled the sake in his cup. "I felt the same during the Kokabiel incident. One second, it was just another battle. The next… the world collapsed. Kokabiel was reduced to atoms. The moment he released that black hole… the pressure was on another level. Like watching an act of god from a human frame. And the scary part? He was still holding back."
Sirzechs sighs, relief can be heard in his voice. "And lucky for us… he's friendly. Mostly."
Nurarihyon chuckled under his breath. "He's friendly, alright. As long as his girls are not hurt by some stupid big wits."
The three of them turned again toward Hajime, who at that moment was buried under a pile of girls—Alice clinging to his arm, Anisphia stretched across his lap, Lavinia hugging him from behind. Ingvild fidgeted nervously, torn about whether to grab his free arm, while Villhaze stood proudly at his side, smugly saying something that made Hajime's brow twitch. Sagiri sat nearby, calmly observing the scene with a faint smile.
Sirzechs let out a soft sigh with a smile. "Let's hope that doesn't happen."
Nurarihyon raised his sake cup. "To the man who terrifies gods, yet can't help but pamper his women."
Azazel laughed, lifting his cup as well. "Heh. I'll drink to that."

Sona was flushed scarlet, trying to pry herself free from Serafall's embrace as her sister sobbed with over-the-top despair.
"So-tan! You're really going to marry someone like that?! My sweet, clever So-tan is actually getting engaged to a guy that could fight and kill a god?!" Serafall wailed, tears and snot flying everywhere.
"Onee-sama, please stop making a scene! This is already decided!" Sona hissed, clearly mortified.
Serafall's grip only tightened as she cried harder. "But I didn't get a say! I wasn't ready! My little sister is really, really going to become someone's bride… and it's that guy! That overpowering cheat-code of a man!"
"It was your idea to come here and challenge him in the first place!" Sona shot back, exasperated.
"I know! I wanted to prove he wasn't worthy! But then he slapped my magic away like it was dust and summoned a weather-controlling satellite! What was I supposed to do?! Pretend I didn't see how cool he was?!" Serafall sobbed louder, her words muffled against Sona's shoulder.
"Honestly… you sound more like you're falling for him than me, Onee-sama," Sona muttered under her breath.
Serafall instantly shot back through hiccupping sobs, "N-No way! I'm just being a good big sister looking out for her cute So-tan!"
Nearby, spectators were caught between laughter and awe as the mighty Maou of Leviathan clung to her sister like a child denied candy.
Sona sighed, finally giving up and letting her sister squeeze her tight. Under her breath, she muttered, "...that kinda sounds suspicious"
Vali stood with Tobio and the rest, eyes narrowing as he watched Hajime pamper his group, even Lavinia clinging to him like she was in a dream. With a crooked grin, he said, "After seeing that, I want to fight him too."
Before he could move, Tobio calmly pressed a hand on his shoulder. "Vali. Don't. Right now, you wouldn't even be a challenge."
Vali's eye twitched at the bluntness. "Then maybe I'll crush you first as a warm-up!"
Kouki scoffed, crossing his arms. "As if you'd even land a hit on Tobio. You're still not on that level yet."
Natsume leaned in with a smirk. "Sharkbrain is right. Train harder, Va-kun."
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!!!" Vali shouted, cheeks flushing red as the crowd broke into laughter.
Shigune placed her palms on her red cheeks as Hajime continued to pamper his group and chimed in softly, "Besides… I think Nagumo-san is far too busy to give you his attention right now."
"Hakkun~! That was soo cool! You were like wacha!! and then you went bazaa!!" Lavinia cheered from behind, trying and failing to keep his expression serious as his head rested against her soft chest. "How about I give you a victory kiss?"
Before she could lean in, Alice and Anisphia cut her off in perfect sync, their tones sharp.
"No," Alice said flatly, eyes narrowing.
"Denied," Anisphia added with a frosty smile.
Lavinia puffed her cheeks and whined, "Ehhhh? Why not?!"
Sagiri twitched, muttering, "...This is getting ridiculous." Ingvild's face went crimson as she imagined herself giving Hajime a victory kiss, nearly squeaking out loud. Villhaze snorted, pulling out a bag of popcorn and offering it casually to both Sagiri and Ingvild.
The Slash Dog team, along with the Gremory and Sitri peerages, leaned in like a live audience, clearly enjoying the rom-com chaos unfolding before them. Some even whispered bets about who would break first.
Lavinia blinked and tilted her head with a mischievous smile. "Ahhh!! I get it! Al-chan and An-chan also want to give Hakkun the victory kiss as well!!"
Both Alice and Anis froze like statues.
"W-We do not!" Alice barked, her voice just a pitch too high, face flushed scarlet. "D-Don't say weird things like that!"
Anisphia snapped her head toward Lavinia, eyes wide, cheeks burning. "Y-Yeah! That's totally be awes— I mean—What are you even implying?!"
Their loud, clumsy denials only made the surrounding crowd exchange glances, amused.
"…You two are really bad at hiding things," Natsume muttered under her breath.
Sagiri, at the side, rubbed her eyes, blinking as she caught a flash of Lavinia's sweet smile twist into something far too knowing.
No way… Lavinia Reni is really not as simple as she looks. Sagiri thought with a bead of sweat sliding down her temple.

Later that evening, the backyard of Yuragi Inn became the center of celebration. Tables were stacked with skewers, grilled meat, corn, and vegetables. Laughter filled the night air along with the savory aroma. Hajime and Chitose worked shoulder to shoulder at the grill, carefully turning the skewers.
Sona joined them with her usual dignified grace, though betrayed by the way her eyes lingered on Hajime a moment too long, or how her hand brushed his when she passed a plate. Hajime, still focused on the grill, snuck in his own brief glances, and the silence between them carried warmth.
"Spacing out again, Hajime-san?" Chitose teased, flipping a skewer with a grin.
"Just keeping an eye on the fire," Hajime replied, though his eyes flicked toward Sona for the briefest second.
Sona, catching Chitose's amused smirk, cleared her throat softly. "Do you… need help plating the next batch?"
"Sure," Hajime said, handing her a tray. Their fingers brushed, and Sona quickly averted her gaze, cheeks faintly pink.
From the side, Yaya peeked from behind a tree, giggling. "Oooh, something's sizzling besides the meat tonight."
Chitose shot her a laugh. "Careful, Yaya, if you tease them too much, they'll burn the food."
Sona's lips twitched, almost a smile, while Hajime muttered under his breath, "I can multitask."
"Ahahaha! Don't tease them too much," Nonko called out with a grin, raising her sake cup from across the yard. "Let the lovebirds cook in peace. Food tastes better when it's seasoned with blushes, after all."
Azazel, Sirzechs, Nurarihyon, and Nonko sat together by a small sake station, enjoying the warm night. Laughter rose and fell around them as they passed drinks and shared snacks. Serafall, however, was curled up beside them, crying into her cup, wailing about losing her little So-tan to that overpowering guy.
"My sweet So-tan is all grown up! And engaged! To a guy who treats my Ice Magic like it's a breeze!" she sobbed, face red and nose sniffly. "How am I supposed to compete with that?!"
Azazel sipped his sake and exhaled. "She's still going, huh."
"She's on loop number six," Sirzechs replied dryly, adjusting his glasses.
"I think she's swapped the lines a few times," Nurarihyon mused, stroking his beard. "But honestly, I can't blame her. Nagumo Hajime shattered a Maou's pride and then calmly grilled skewers like it was nothing."
Azazel chuckled, raising his cup. "To Nagumo Hajime—the man who terrifies gods, melts hearts, and still cooks dinner like he's hosting a picnic."
They all laughed—except Serafall, who wailed louder.
".... And now Sona's making eyes at him during grill duty! I'm not ready for such romantic acts!" she cried, pounding her fists lightly on the table.
Nonko grinned wickedly. "Then why not join them? That way you and your sister can share the same romantic episodes."
Azazel, Sirzechs, and Nurarihyon all choked on their drinks and snapped their heads toward her. Serafall froze mid-sob, her teary face slowly shifting into one of actual consideration. Then, with an embarrassed but mischievous smirk, she let out a shaky laugh. "Ehehe… ehehe… maybe that's not such a bad idea."
"Poor lad," Azazel muttered, gulping down his sake. "He really has no idea what he's gotten into."
Sirzechs pinched the bridge of his nose, Nurarihyon sighed into his cup, and Nonko only smirked wider, clearly enjoying the chaos she had stirred.

Saji sat with Ruruko and Momo at one of the open tables, both girls enthusiastically trying to lift his spirits with teasing smiles and exaggerated encouragement.
"Come on, Saji-senpai," Ruruko chirped, poking his cheek, "it's not the end of the world just because your Sona-kaichou is getting married to a literal god-slayer!"
Momo handed him a cup of juice with a wink. "Besides, you're still a proud member of the Sitri peerage. That's something, right?"
Saji sniffed and forced a weak smile, eyes lingering across the courtyard where Sona stood laughing gently with Hajime over the grill. "Yeah… something," he muttered.
Ruruko leaned closer and teased, "Ooooh, he's jealous~!"
"I'm not jealous!" Saji snapped quickly, cheeks coloring. "I'm just… concerned. Yeah, concerned."
Momo giggled behind her hand. "Uh-huh. Totally 'concerned.'"
From a short distance, the rest of Sona's peerage watched with bemusement. Tsubaki smirked behind her hand, Reya and Tomoe exchanged quiet giggles, and even Tsubasa looked vaguely amused.
"Poor Saji," Tsubaki whispered. "He looks like he just watched the last episode of his favorite romance anime."
Tomoe chuckled. "More like he's living it right now.""
Vali and Tobio had started a friendly spar near the edge of the yard, exchanging sharp movements and calculated blows. The Slash Dog team watched with wide grins, cheering and throwing in quips.
"Come on, Tobio! Show that pride of a childhood hero!" Kouki shouted, arms crossed with a grin.
"Va-kun, if you break something again, I'll tell you Lavi-san!" Natsume called with a mischievous smirk.
"Don't! And also don't call me that!!" Vali barked back, twisting to dodge Jin's swipe.
"Then try not to lose, Va-kun~!" Natsume teased again.
"I said stop it!!" Vali snapped, his cheeks faintly red even as he countered Tobio's thrust.
Shigune clapped softly, eyes sparkling. "Be careful, both of you."
Sae giggled, swaying in rhythm with the sparring. "Boys will be boys, huh?"
Kouki leaned toward Natsume and muttered, smirking, "He's easier to provoke than I thought."
Natsume grinned. "Of course. It's more fun that way."
The two combatants remained focused in their clash, but the laughter and voices of their team wrapped around them. The spar no longer felt like a duel—it was more like a family cheering their own on.
Lavinia was seated with Alice, Anisphia, Sagiri, and Ingvild, legs swinging, expression dreamy, and cheeks faintly pink as she painted a vivid picture of their future married life. "I think a cozy house in the mountains would be perfect," she mused with a contented sigh. "We'd have tea in the mornings, ice skating practice in the afternoons, and a big bed with lots of cuddles at night~!"
Alice nearly dropped her cup. "W-Why are we suddenly talking about that?!"
Anisphia choked on her drink, pounding her chest with a flushed face. "And why is your fantasy so detailed?!"
Lavinia tilted her head innocently. "Eh? Aren't we going to be family? So I thought we'd share the cuddles too~"
Sagiri let out a strangled noise, hiding her burning face behind her sleeve, murmuring, "C-Cuddles?"
"Awawa! C-cuddles! Bed! Night?!" Ingvild fainted as her imagination went wild, steam practically pouring from her head.
"M-Milady! Stay strong! How are you going to survive the real thing if you collapse from just imagining it?!" Villhaze cried as she caught her mistress in her arms.
Alice pressed a hand over her face. "I can't believe this conversation is happening."
Anisphia groaned and added, "We're doomed… Hajime, what kind of girl did you just charm into our circle…"

Back at the grilling station, Sona and Hajime shared a rare moment. As they cooked together, it was Sona who glanced up first, her expression conflicted yet warm. "Onee-sama caused a lot of chaos today… I'm sorry," she said quietly, passing another skewer to Hajime.
He shook his head with a wry smile, brushing his fingers against hers. "It's fine. If it were my little sister getting engaged to someone, I'd probably flip too, so don't worry about it."
Sona blinked, then slowly turned to face him, cheeks pink. "Say… are you really okay with this? Do you truly accept me—and this engagement?"
Hajime looked at her for a moment before his smile softened. "Welcome to my life, Sona Sitri. It's a bit chaotic since I'm a Campione, so trouble always finds me. But I wouldn't trade a single second of it."
He glanced back at the grill, turning a skewer. "And just a heads up—being a Godslayer means I can live a long life. So you don't have to worry about our time together running out."
Sona's eyes widened; she had nearly forgotten that difference. Her lips curved into a wry smile. "I forgot about that… from all the shocks you've given me since we met. But… that's wonderful. It means I can stay by your side without worrying about time."
Hajime chuckled lightly. "Then it's settled. You'll just have to get used to the chaos."
She let out a soft laugh, her shoulders easing. "If it's with you, maybe I can."
The air between them softened into understanding. Together, they were preparing for a future neither had planned, but one they were ready to face side by side.

A few days later, the sun rose gently over the horizon, casting warm rays through the windows of the Yuragi Inn. The morning air buzzed with purpose and anticipation—for today was the day.
Within the inn's main hallway, soft footsteps can be heard as Hajime adjusted the collar of his black-and-blue cape marked with the Astral Express insignia. His cool blue Hydro Astral Emblem gleamed proudly on his belt.
"Are you really trying to look that dashing?" Anisphia teased from behind, tugging her own black-and-red cape into place. Her glowing Pyro Emblem shone warmly at the back of her neck.
"As the crew's representative, we can't cut corners," Hajime replied, straightening his stance without looking back. "We have to show them we mean business."
Alice joined them next, brushing a stray lock from her face as her cape with teal-green highlights swayed behind her. The soft glow of her Anemo Astral Emblem shines on her chest like the breath of wind itself.
"We'e not just attending this meeting as potential allies," she said firmly, her voice carrying strength. "We're here to witness the future of this world as well."
From the side hallway, Ingvild stood beside Villhaze. Her violet hair flowed freely, her outfit retaining its personal elegance, at her belt, an Express pass was safely pinned. On her shoulders she wore the same cape, though unlike Hajime, Alice, and Anisphia, hers was plain black with only the silver insignia of the Astral Express.
Villhaze still wore the maid uniform Hajime had made for her resurrection, though her apron now bore the black logo of the Astral Express at the lower end right beside her own Express pass.
"You all look amazing," Ingvild said softly, her orange eyes admiring each of them. "I hope I can stand beside you with pride."
"You already do," Hajime replied with a sincere smile.
"Hee, smooth as always, Your Majesty," Villhaze teased with the sarcasm heavy as ever when she said the 'Your majesty', making Hajime's cheeks twitch again.
"And your mouth is still sharp as ever, maid," Hajime shot back dryly.
Ingvild covered her lips with a small laugh. "Some things never change."
A new presence arrived from the staircase—Sagiri Ameno, dressed in her white and crimson miko outfit. At her belt was pinned the express ticket. Her expression remained stoic, but her nervousness was evident as she stepped closer.
"This is the first time I'll be representing the Shinto and Japan alongside another faction," Sagiri admitted, nervously gripping her sleeves. Her voice was quiet but steady. "I won't let Amaterasu-sama's trust down."
"We know you won't," Anisphia said gently, having caught her murmur. She leaned closer with a reassuring smile. Alice placed a hand on Sagiri's shoulder, her voice soft but firm. "You are one of us now. So stand proud, and show them why Amaterasu-sama herself chose you as our partner."
Sagiri blinked at their confidence, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "...Thank you. I'll do my best."
They stepped out to the inn's main doors, where Tobio and the Slash Dog team waited in their own uniforms. A low whistle escaped the group as their eyes fell on Hajime's team.
"Now, isn't that cool," Tobio commented, his gaze scanning over their uniforms and emblems. "Didn't expect you guys to dress up for this."
Hajime smirked and shrugged. "Well, the occasion calls for it."
Anisphia chipped in with a grin, "Despite our looks, we're still a major faction in the universe. We can't exactly show up and embarrass ourselves, can we?"
Natsume crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow with a wry smile. "You all look like you're marching into a final boss fight, not a conference. Try to smile a little—it's diplomacy, not doomsday."
Alice chuckled lightly. "Who knows? Depending on how it goes, it might become one."
Lavinia beamed as she rushed to their side. "Hakkun! Everyone! You all look amazing!" Her eyes sparkled as she admired their capes. "It really suits you—all of you. Like true protectors."
Anisphia grinned wider and elbowed Hajime playfully. "So, ready to witness how far this world will go as we leave our mark, Hajime?"
He let out a steady breath, lips curling into a small smile. "Yeah. As ready as we can be." His eyes carried the resolve of a man who bore the hope and trust of his friends and family. "Let's leave our footprint today."
The team walked forward together, their capes swaying with the morning breeze.
To Kuoh Academy. To the Peace Conference. To witness a new beginning for this world.
