The Tokyo Hunters Guilds was sited in the middle of the large city. Its large structure stood firm and towered over the other buildings. The inhabitants of Tokyo crowded the building, desperate for help and mercy. It seemed like the Hunters were absent but where had they actually gone to? The last Dungeon raid was taken two weeks ago , so there was absolutely no way the Hunters were absent. Instead the Hunters were probably ignoring them.
The Hunters were present. Inside the building, in the last floor was four Hunters sitting on their fancy seats while facing each other on a round table. The room was well furnished and the aura showed that it was indeed a room for the best hands at the hunting field.
Below this floor were Hunters of the sub grade having their nap as if not disturbed by the cries and wails of the people outside their vicinity. The ground floor was completely empty of human and Hunters. No one was there.
Suddenly, someone landed on the top of the roof and looked down to see the citizens pounding over the building, begging for help. The smoke from afar signified that the demons were within. If these humans were not attended to , the Japanese capital will loose a lot people and the casualties would be extremely much .
The man tightened his face. His orange hair waved across his handsome face. He walked towards the side of the roof top and squatted. He slowly pulled out a cover placed on the top and jumped inside the empty space beneath it .
He landed on the last floor and stared around. Then he walked some meters away and came towards a room. On the room was inscribed, ' TOKYO HUNTER HEADS '
He furiously pushed the door open. Inside the room were the four Hunters. Three males and a female. He walked furiously and paused in front of them. They turned to look at him. Their gazes were expressionless .
" What's wrong James? " a Hunter asked. His pale blue hair and huge physique gave him a tremendous look. Though his eyes shone with purity but deep down within , one knew he was a real good killer. One who had killed so many demons , leaving trails of his hunt hood down in Tokyo history. His name was Maczed.
" Are you crazy?! Why are you guys in here
? There us an outbreak!!" James exclaimed in fury and anger.
"People are out there begging for help and mercy and you guys are just sitting here , doing nothing? "
His face etched with hate and anger. No one spoke to him . They all stared at him and went back to what they had been doing before he came in. It seemed like they were aware of this all along. James squeezed his fist in anger.
"Really! You do not mean what you said , do you?" Maczed said and a small grin appeared on his lips.
James stared at him , his anger boiling up beyond control as he stared at Maczed. Maczed smiled widely, noticing James' anger.
"You fucker!! Cruel thing !!" James exclaimed in anger as he smashed his tightened fist against Maczed's face.
The punch sent Maczed out of his seat down the ground. Maczed smiled as he touched his forehead too notice his blood. The other Hunters stared at James in awe .
The female Hunter , Marie stared at James. She has never seen him this angry before. Her holden hair flickered in the rays of the neon lights. Her cascading beauty was overwhelming. She looked too childish to be on the leading squad of Tokyo but she was a real Hunter. Her skills had proved to be worthy after she slayed a demon boss in a Dungeon.
The second male Hunter, Zohn. He had a red hair but it was nicely cut. His face was romantically handsome. He looked too young to be a Hunter Leader. His abilities were special as he had single handedly slayed a swarm of demons in a Dungeon raid including the fore runner of the demon boss. In total he had slayed fifty-three demons in that raid. With this , he was regarded as the third strongest Tokyo Hunter with James and Aaron bring the second and first respectively.
Lastly, was the strongest Hunter of Tokyo, Aaron. His yellow hair matched upright with his yellow attire. A long scar crossed across his face from his ear to his mouth . His frightening presence made opponents fear his personality. No one in Tokyo had matched his power not even James. Although every girl wanted him , he never paid attention to them. He was an introvert who happened to be extremely powerful.
All that aside, James was acting strange towards them concerning the inhabitants of Tokyo. His anger was something only few knew about. He was a bad tempered person but dud well to conceal it . Maczed stood up slowly. He looked at James . A smile crossed his lips.
" Why did not just tell him the reason?" Marie said in disappointment. James looked at Marie .
For the moment his anger subsided but not completely extinguished. So they had a reason for staying back? James looked at Maczed waiting for a reason string enough to make them to ignore the deaths outside .
"Talk!!! Will anyone speak to me? I need my own share of the explanation. I need to know why you guys glued your butts to those seats." James cries out. His inquisitive nerves aching hardly for answers and clues.
"The Central Hunters Association..." Zohn started. James turned sharply. His brain tried to understand hie the Central Hunters Association played a role in Tokyo Hunters being inactive in their hometown's downfall.
"They called in. They gave strict orders fir us to avoid engaging the demons." Zohn said. James blinked severally trying to absorb the information conveyed to him. Was this what this was all about? They actually sat down to watch their town crumble at the orders of the C.H.A?
"Is that the reason? " James asked, secretly praying for a more cogent reason.
"Isn't that enough reason to avoid the attack?!" Maczed barked at James.
"So you guys are actually afraid because you will not be paid fir risking your life to safe your own town?" James asked in disgust.
"You just shut up!!!" Maczed exclaimed as he drew out his sword in anger. "One more word from you and I will slay you to two halves. I brought you here and I can as well take you back to where you came." Maczed said in anger .
Suddenly James began to laugh crazily. Everyone stared at him in awe. The HD stopped abruptly.
"If you can dissipate this energy in the battle field, I'm pretty sure we would have nothing fear. Such irony, money is all you have ever cared about. Kkkk." James said.
"I really expected much from you. And what of you Aaron, Marie and Zohn. What is your stand in all these?" An immediate expression of shock arose on the faces of Marie and Zohn. Aaron simply drank more of his coffee.
"Well , I can't go against the orders of the Central Hunters Association ." Zohn said simply.
"Just listen to yourself. If you were to be a human with no source of extra human powers, what would do if you found out that the Hunters were ignoring your cries on purpose?" James asked.
"I will kill them." Zohn said bluntly.
"Then stop being neurotic and let's save Tokyo. Precious lives are lost out there. Imagine your loved ones dying out there. Just think of it, the main aim of hunting is to slay demons. Then let's just do that."
"What a good speech but I can say, you could go die out there while we preserve our lives. Moreover we wouldn't be paid, so what a waste of life risk." Maczed said.
"Just shut up. Of you are here for the money do not disturb us with your wierd wants." Aarin said. Everyone looked at him in shock.
"The Central Hunters Association gave an order not to attack. But I do not see why we can't help let these people in." Aaron said and looked out through the window .
Then he sighted a man far behind the rest of the other crowd . He was running with all his might towards them. His legs were weary but he pushed further. Just behind was a demon. The man looked back to notice the demon. Out of fear he fell down to the ground. The demon closed in and dug its fangs into the man's body.
"Damn it!! We are wasting time. We should let then in now!!!" Aaron thundered. James smirked. Now his crew was beginning to cooperate with him. He walked to the telephone and dialed a few numbers.
"Open the gate." James said simply and Aaron looked out again at the window . The gate opened and the inhabitants flooded. Men,women and children struggled their way in. They seemed eager to survive. With all that had seen they dud not want to stay outside in the open. Fear was deeply rooted in their hearts.
James heaved a sigh . He held his sword tightly.
"I'm going into the city. If we do not slay these beings they will eventually come for us . And I am not sure the Central Hunters will be here anytime soon. It's been four hours and they haven't showed up. We can't afford to wait for them." James said. The other Hunters stared at him. One thing they all knew about James. He had a great zeal to save humanity. He was a brave and relentless Hunter who stopped at nothing to protect humans.
"I'm with you." Maczed said. James looked at him shocked.
"Yah. I love your endearing nature towards the citizens. Just to apologise for my silly attitude. I'm sorry." Maczed said. James smiled . He walked to him and patted him on the shoulder.
"Thanks. I was not angry at you. I was angry at the demons. Since you have volunteered to help, let's screw the butts of those fucking demons." James said lightly. Maczed smiled heartily.
