Outside, there were media reporters and bystanders, making Bruce and Harrison feel like they were walking on thin ice.
It was like when you've just finished an exam, and your parents are waiting for your results with a belt in hand.
Bruce and Harrison didn't acknowledge the people outside but went straight to the villa's entrance and pressed the doorbell.
A man in his thirties walked out of the security booth, looking them up and down before asking in a casual tone, "What are you here for? Who are you looking for?"
The people outside also gathered around. Though they kept their distance, it still made Bruce very uncomfortable.
He suppressed the anger in his chest and spoke in a low, calm voice.
"I am Bruce from the FBI Headquarters. I need to speak with Pritt about Kaitō Kid."
The man walked up to take a quick look at Bruce's credentials, then slowly turned him down.
"Mr. Pritt is not available. He won't see you."
With that, he turned and went back to the security booth.
It was disdainful and dismissive.
Bruce could no longer hold back his anger.
"Fuck! Get Pritt over here!"
"I want to talk to him face to face!"
Harrison noticed the people around them becoming agitated and reached out to stop the furious Bruce.
Before Kaitō Kid even showed up, things were already getting chaotic.
"Bruce, calm down!"
"Since Pritt doesn't want our help, let's just secure the perimeter!"
Harrison quickly took control of the situation.
Although they didn't have the authority to enter Pritt's mansion, they did have the right to secure the surrounding area.
For example, they had the right to drive away these people.
Zhang Yang sat in his car, watching from a distance.
"This is interesting. I didn't expect there to be another show to watch!"
After Harrison gave the order, FBI agents surrounded Pritt's subordinates and started driving them away.
But of course, they wouldn't just leave obediently. The initial harsh orders slowly turned into pushing, and eventually escalated into gunshots being fired as a warning. The situation was getting more and more serious.
Seeing the standstill, Bruce was about to contact the Enforcement Bureau to have these people taken away for questioning.
Perhaps due to the gunshots earlier, a patrol car came from the mansion. Sitting in it was Pritt, with two blonde, blue-eyed beauties in his arms, one on each side.
Pritt was only wearing large shorts, while the two women were in swimsuits, their figures voluptuous.
"Bruce, what are you doing?"
Pritt got out of the patrol car and signaled the driver to open the door.
Bruce snorted coldly, knowing that Pritt was deliberately trying to make him look bad.
"Pritt, I hope you reconsider. Kaitō Kid is not someone easy to deal with. If you don't want any losses, it's best to cooperate with us!"
Instead of responding directly to Bruce, Pritt blew a whistle.
After a brief silence, four or five identical patrol cars drove over from the mansion, with Chel and his men arriving.
They were fully armed, each carrying an AK rifle, with grenades and smoke bombs at their waist, and extra magazines.
In terms of firepower, they were more than prepared.
"Mr. Pritt, what are your orders?"
Chel stood in front of Pritt with his men, glaring at Bruce and Harrison, their eyes full of provocation.
Pritt chuckled lightly, patted Chel on the shoulder, and gestured for him to move aside.
"Chel, Bruce here is our friend. What are you all doing?"
"Bruce, what did you say earlier? I didn't quite hear you?"
Bruce's anger surged as his fists clenched. If the mission wasn't about capturing Kaitō Kid, Bruce would've definitely knocked Pritt out with one punch instead of enduring his insults and provocations.
"Bruce, I believe my men are enough to handle Kaitō Kid!"
"Of course, if you have any other suggestions, feel free to come to my villa. We can talk things over slowly."
Although Bruce finally got the chance to speak with Pritt face to face, this humiliation was something he hadn't expected.
Harrison could see that Bruce was on the verge of exploding, so he reached out and pulled his arm, signaling him to calm down.
"This is the best way, Mr. Pritt."
"Kaitō Kid is not easy to deal with. Even if you have enough weapons and equipment, we can only capture him if we cooperate in action!"
Upon hearing Harrison's words, Pritt sneered with a meaningful smile.
He then stepped aside and motioned for Bruce and Harrison to enter.
However, as soon as they stepped through the villa's main door, Pritt raised his hand to stop them.
"Sorry, but you'll need to go through a security check. No weapons or guns allowed!"
Bruce's eyes widened in anger, his teeth grinding with fury.
Harrison quickly complied, handing over his weapon to the FBI agent standing outside.
Bruce, barely able to contain his rage, followed suit and handed over his gun and knife.
Once all this was done, Bruce, still furious, asked in return, "Pritt, is it good now?"
Although Bruce and Harrison had been cooperative enough, Pritt wasn't about to let them off so easily.
"Of course, Bruce," Pritt replied, "but you'll still need to undergo another check, sorry!"
He signaled Chel to give them another check.
Though Bruce was fuming, at this point, he had no choice but to bite his tongue and raise his hands for the search.
Once the guards confirmed that they weren't carrying any other weapons, Chel nodded to Pritt.
"Okay!"
"Welcome, Bruce and Harrison. I'll be waiting for you by the pool."
With that, Pritt climbed back into the patrol car, teasing the two beauties beside him as they left.
Chel led Bruce and Harrison into the villa.
The FBI agents outside were stunned.
They had never seen Bruce like this. In their understanding, Bruce was not only the top agent in Eagle Nation, but also a ticking time bomb.
Even his superiors spoke to him politely, yet today, he had been thoroughly humiliated and had endured it.
Meanwhile, Bruce and Harrison entered the villa, and the agents outside were unsure what to do. Should they continue trying to drive the bystanders away?
A short distance away, in a gray sedan, Zhang Yang watched as Bruce and Harrison entered the villa, a smug smile spreading across his face.
Everything had gone according to Zhang Yang's expectations, and he had heard every word of their conversation.
"Poor Bruce and Harrison, don't worry. Since you're old rivals, I'll make sure to give you a little relief."
Bruce and Harrison reached the poolside, where Pritt was playfully fooling around with several beautiful women in the water.
Pritt lazily asked, "Bruce, I've made myself clear over the phone. Is there anything else you want to talk about?"
At that moment, Bruce could have twisted his head off with his rage. He was so angry that he had completely lost his sense of logic.
Harrison took over the conversation, replying calmly.
"Mr. Pritt, if merely having enough weapons and guns was enough to capture Kaitō Kid, he wouldn't have committed crimes for so long."
