"Wow... LinLin. Your family is really rich..."
Yaya said excitedly after he saw LinLin's family farm. LinLin just glared at Yaya.
"Why does this city boy have to come along?"
LinLin muttered to himself. He was too lazy to deal with Yaya's behavior which sometimes annoyed him.
"Don't talk like that. We're friends. Right?"
YuanYuan said. He gently stroked LinLin's hand. LinLin's temper was very uncontrollable. He was as grumpy as his geese who liked to chase him and XiangXiang every time they came. Luckily, the geese had been confined by LinLin's father after one of them bit XiangXiang until he was bruised. Otherwise, there would have been a funny moment when all six of them were chased by the grumpy geese.
"This is my first time coming to the farm. This is amazing."
Yaya said again. He really liked it. Living in the city made him bored. Everywhere there were only buildings. That's why he was very happy living in the dormitory which had a small yard where his seniors grew several types of vegetables and flowers.
"Ah...! They're here!"
XiangXiang started flapping his hands to chase away the bugs that were flying around his head. His mouth was pouting angrily. He was also close to crying. The problem was, he was the only one being chased by the bugs.
"XiangXiang...are you some kind of flower? Why are you the only one surrounded by those bugs?"
XinXin asked. He also flapping his hand to drive away all the bugs that gathered around XiangXiang.
"I wish I knew all that. Urghh...this is so frustrating...."
XiangXiang whined as he stomped his feet angrily. WenWen quickly picked up his hat and angrily hit the bugs that were bothering XiangXiang. "Don't you dare touch my XiangXiang."
This phenomenon makes XiangXiang look like a princess surrounded by his brave warriors who chase away all the monsters that bother him.
"What all of you doing there?"
LinLin's father shouted from inside the house.
"Get inside before XiangXiang turns into the bugs queen."
He said. LinLin and the others tried their best to hold back their laughter from bursting out. XiangXiang made a sour face. He pursed his upper lip.
"Queen of bugs? What would it look like if it was XiangXiang?"
Yaya whispered in YuanYuan and LinLin's ears. His lips carved into a mischievous smile.
"Shhh..."
YuanYuan put his index finger on his lips as his eyes glanced at WenWen.
"Don't say it out loud. But I'm sure he's cute."
YuanYuan whispered back. LinLin just nodded in agreement.
"What the three of you gossiping about?"
WenWen asked. YuanYuan, Yaya and LinLin quickly shook their heads.
"The beetle king is angry. Shhhh..."
Yaya put his index finger to his lips while making an innocent face. The other two nodded in agreement. Also made innocent faces.
"Good morning, uncle. I'm JiaJia. This is XinXin, WenWen and Yaya. Sorry to bother you."
JiaJia said politely.
"Oh..No. No... Thank you for coming to our humble home and being friend with our grumpy LinLin."
"Dad...!"
LinLin started to sulk. His father really liked to tell everyone about his bad habits.
"What? I told them the truth. I was just afraid you'd go bald all by yourself. So...I just.."
He said while laughing mockingly.
"That enough you old man...stop mocking our son."
LinLin's mother said and pinched her husband's ear.
"Now you go prepare their room."
She said angrily. "This father and son really can't meet each other. Always give me a headache."
"It's okay auntie. We can do it ourselves."
JiaJia said politely.
"Oh. Sorry to bother you. My husband love to talk but so lazy."
She said without any guilty. Look like this family habit is to mock each other. It's a lively family, no doubt.
"Why you said like that honey? In front of the kids..."
"What? I tell them the truth. I just afraid you'll die alone. So I just...."
Quickly LinLin father covers his wife mouth. The power of a mother is scary. Touch my son, I will scratch your soul. Eye for eye. Now they understand why LinLin is so grumpy.
"Hehehe...LinLin show your friends their rooms. YuanYuan, are you going to sleep here too?"
LinLin's father said while carving a shy smile. His wife Yu Ru Yie was indeed fierce, but her love never lacked. That fierce nature was what made her special. Yu Yi Ren smiled satisfyingly.
"Yes uncle Yu. But tonight I will be sleeping at home."
YuanYuan replied politely. Yu Yi Ren nodded. His house and YuanYuan's family house were only a five-minute walk away. So there was no problem if YuanYuan wanted to commute from his house to their farm every day.
"Oh...how about you XiangXiang?"
Yu Yi Ren looked at XiangXiang who was silent as soon as he entered the house. "There must be something on this kid's mind. Haa... Jiang Er... why did you do that? What did XiangXiang do to you that you punished him like this?"
Yu Yi Ren sighed in his heart. He and Bai Jiang Li were close friends in school. But he didn't know what was hidden in his friend's heart that made him willing to take his own life. XiangXiang answer without any delay. "This kid indeed have something in his mind. Must be fighting with his brother" Yu Yi Ren make his own speculation. He know how good XiangXiang is. If he act like this, there must be something blotting in his heart that he can't take it anymore. Just like what happened that year.
"Okay then. I'll ask your aunt to cook your favorite food tonight."
Yu Yi Ren smiled and pinched XiangXiang's cheek. He was never satisfied with pinching those plump cheeks. Compared to LinLin's cheeks, XiangXiang's cheeks were much more appetizing.
"Thank you uncle Yu. Auntie...! uncle said he will cook my favourite!"
XiangXiang shouted at Yu Ru Yie who already at the kitchen.
"Eh..this kid..."
"Really? Good then. Honey..."
XiangXiang smile naughtily at Yu Yi Ren. He even give him his thumb up. Yu Yi Ren could only sigh. Kid nowadays really hard to handle.
"Yes honey. I'm coming."
He answered and walk towards the kitchen where his wife already starting preparing their dinner.
"LinLin...your family is really entertaining."
Yaya said as he gave LinLin his thumbs up. He even winked his eyes seductively. LinLin could only roll his eyes. He was really annoyed with Yaya's behavior. But, he needs to just accept its. Because he couldn't deny that behind every Yaya's annoying behavior, there was something that really caught his attention.
