Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 : FROM ABYSS

What would happen if the world disappeared? What if Mother Nature had enough of these ungrateful people, including me? What if the sun burned the land, or the ocean ran dry?

That would be...great? Let us all die, for goodness sake! Let the good people go to heaven and the bad people go to hell.

"Willver! Get down here. We have to go!" My mother yelled from downstairs. I stopped playing games on my phone.

I admit, my mind was elsewhere. I always wondered. I grabbed my Rubik's Cube and went downstairs, grabbing a biscuit before hopping into the car.

My little sister, Agnes, sat beside me. She's four years old. I'm fifteen, a nerdy-looking fifteen-year-old...weak as hell.

I'll be in Grade 10 this coming school year. I'm not proud. I don't even know how I survived, considering all the annoying people at school.

I hate people, for some reason. I started playing with my Rubik's Cube during the drive.

"Mom, why do I have to go with you?" I asked, annoyed. "Your Aunt Meggan wants you there; she bought a new vacation house. Let's support her, and I can't leave Agnes with you—you're irresponsible," she replied.

I nodded. "The second reason is more understandable. You're smart for that," "Good, you're aware," She added. I proudly smirked.

Almost two hours passed, and we were still on the road! Awesome. I'd already peed three times at gas stations! My sister was asleep on my lap.

"We're almost there, honey," Mom said. "I'm not saying anything," "Well, your face says otherwise," she replied. I sighed and looked at the road. After a few minutes, I frowned.

Where exactly are we going?

"Did Aunt Meggan buy a vacation house in the middle of hell?" "Huh? Why?" "Well, as you can see, Mom. We're literally in the forest right now. Perfect place for a perfect crime."

My mother looked around and rolled her eyes. "It's a vacation house, honey. Of course it's in the middle of nowhere." "Her house better be colorful," I whispered.

Why the heck was I shivering? Oh, yeah. I forgot I'm a weak, nerdy fifteen-year-old boy. Great.

My instincts screamed creepy, and I was right. Our car stopped in front of a house that looked straight out of a haunted movie. What the hell.

Aunt Meggan was happy to see us; she and her best friend were waiting outside. They hugged us as soon as we got out of the car and her best friend, took my sister.

"Thank you for coming! Let's go inside before it gets dark!" Aunt Meggan said happily. "I cooked a lot of food, you all gonna like it!" Rose added.

They were optimistic. I couldn't relate.

I looked at the house. It was obviously old, made of wood. I could hear the river from where I stood.
