Chapter 10 - Ayaka Yorichi

The familair sound of the bell rang out within the halls of the academy. Students left their classrooms, seeing the day in a dim light.

Among the unbothered and relaxed students, there was one boy who seemed to be on edge. He had golden hair and blue eyes. His physique resembled that of Haruto, one of the six great heroes.

He pushed against the crowds of students and finally made his way to the balcony.

The balcony, although a spot with the most beautiful scenery, was quite lonely at this time of the day.

He looked around to see no one. He rose his hand and muttered, "All hail the Starlit corps!"

Dead silence. Before a chuckle broke it.

"Didn't think you'd actually show up, Ayaka Yorichi." A voice spoke.

The air around him shifted and twisted in strange ways, and a figure began forming in front of him.

The figure was that of a young boy. He had silver hair and eyes resembling the Starlit skies of the night.

"Who are you?" Ayaka asked, ready for a fight.

"I am Zephyr Von Valour. It is a pleasure to meet you." He bowed slightly.

"How did you appear in my dreams?" Ayaka asked.

"I'm sorry, but I'll have to get down on to business," Zephyr replied, ignoring Ayaka's question. "I challenge you, Ayaka Yorichi, hero of the kingdom of Veridion."

Ayaka was shuddered. He immediately rose his hand and directed it towards Zephyr.

"[Striking Light]!" An orb of light shot towards Zephyr.

With one wave of his hand, the attack vanished. Ayaka, seizing the opportunity, rushed at Zephyr.

"[Swirling Kick]!" As the name suggested, Ayaka spun around before kicking directly at his neck from the side.

Zephyr evaded the attack and said, "Calm down!" He kicked Ayaka between his legs.

The boy fell to the ground with a loud scream.

"Seriously?!" He asked.

"I told you to calm down. Plus that attack was screaming 'taking away my manhood!" Zephyrbreplied, his arms crossed.

A little while later...

Ayaka stood up, his pain residing. "So what'd you call me here for, Zephyr?"

The silver haired bay looked at Ayaka with a smirk. "I want to challenge you."

"How? Do you want a duel or something?"

"Two months from now, the 'Veridion clash of the leader of tomorrow' will be held. If you win, I'll leave you and the rest of the heroes alone." Zephyr said.

"And if I lose?" Ayaka asked, his body tensing.

"You will become my servant. And I'll have full freedom to engage with the other heroes." Zephyr replied, cold but with a smile.

"You bastard!" Yorichi said, writing his teeth and grabbing Zephyr by his collar.

Zephyr remained indifferent, still wearing that smile of his.

After his anger resided, Ayaka let go of Zephyr's collar.

"Fine," Ayaka began. "But how do I know you're not going to go back on your word?"

Zephyr smiled.

Instantly, a magic circle appeared below their feet and a golden parchment appeared between the two.

"What is this?!" Ayaka asked, astonished.

"A Blood contract." Zephyr replied.

The parchment began extending itself, much to Ayaka's suprise.

"Zephyr Von Valour has taken the initiative to establish a blood contract with Ayaka Yorichi. The conditions are as follows:

1. If Ayaka Yorichi wins the 'Veridion clash of the leaders of tomorrow', Zephyr Von Valour will be forbidden to interact with the heroes and if Zephyr Von Valour interacts with any of the heroes, his soul will shatter and inflict major damage upon his physical body. If Ayaka Yorichi's victory was earned almost effortlessly, then Zephyr Von Valour will have to devote himself to Ayaka Yorichi.

2. However, if Zephyr Von Valour wins the same competition, Ayaka Yorichi will be bound to serve him. But if Zephyr Von Valour dissolves this contact, Ayaka Yorichi will regain his freedom. Not carrying out even a single order will result in Ayaka Yorichi's soul fracturing.

3. If neither party wins, then the contract will instantly dissolve and the conditions will not be applied.

4. A third party MUST NOT be involved with this contract. If it is not followed then the person who contacted them will face death. Along with the third party.

Will you agree to these terms and conditions, Ayaka Yorichi?"

A voice spoke from the parchment. Ayaka looked at the piece of paper and saw a small drop of blood.

He looked back at Zephyr, who nodded. Ayaka bit his finger and held it above the paper. A drop of blood fell on to the paper.

"The contract has been established!" The same voice spoke.

Almost immediately, the paper vanished into thin air and the two were left alone.

"Good luck, hero." Zephyr said with a grin.

He walked past Ayaka tapping him on his shoulder. "Remember, you can't tell your buddies about this. You wouldn't want your friends dying, would you?"

With those words, Zephyr disappeared leaving Ayaka.

"You'll pay for this, Zephyr Von Valour!"
