Ultimately, Sebastian Shaw decided to craft Thor's weapon according to the original historical design of Stormbreaker, with an axe blade on one side and a hammer head on the other. However, Sebastian had to spend a considerable fortune on the materials required for such a powerful weapon.
Using the optimal ratio that Tony Stark had researched extensively, Sebastian mixed vibranium and adamantium together, supplementing the mixture with several other precious metals. This combination was designed to achieve maximum strength while also ensuring excellent resilience and a degree of self-repairability that would prove invaluable in combat situations.
Sebastian also designed intricate magical patterns on both the interior and exterior of the weapon. These patterns were specifically crafted to maximize Thor's inherent power of thunder and lightning, granting him flight capabilities comparable to the original Mjolnir. Sebastian also incorporated his own teleportation abilities into the weapon's enchantments, allowing Thor to create portals and traverse vast distances instantaneously.
Sebastian also carefully designed the handle of Stormbreaker, imbuing it with complex magical arrays. These arrays were designed to withstand extreme environments of all kinds, such as the crushing pressure of the deep seabed, the freezing temperatures of the polar winter, the scorching heat of underground lava flows, and, of course, the harsh vacuum of outer space.
In short, with Thor's exceptional physical strength combined with this weapon, wielding Stormbreaker would make him a force to be reckoned with on any battlefield.
For a full fortnight, Sebastian forged the weapon continuously with the Eternal Flame. He worked tirelessly day and night, carefully shaping and enchanting every component of the weapon.
It must be said that the Eternal Flame, which had once been a part of Surtur's power during his heyday, possesses considerable destructive and creative power. The flames are capable of melting even materials as extraordinarily durable as vibranium and adamantium, which very few forces in the universe can accomplish.
Sebastian crafted the weapon's handle primarily from a branch of the Golden Apple Tree, carefully incorporating portions of the World Tree as well. This combination inherently possesses amplifying and healing properties that exceeded even Sebastian's initial expectations. The wood seemed to resonate with divine energy in ways that purely metallic materials could not.
Once the forging process was completed, Sebastian immediately informed Thor to come and claim his new weapon. He sent a message through a portal, summoning the God of Thunder back to Hogwarts.
When Thor laid eyes on the weapon Sebastian had crafted specifically for him, he could not take his eyes off it. His gaze was transfixed on the magnificent weapon before him.
The weapon featured a sharp axe blade on one side and a powerful hammer head on the other. White lines that resembled flowing electrical currents were intricately carved into the slightly gray metallic surface. The dark gold handle seemed unremarkable at first glance, but as Thor reached out and grasped it firmly, he could clearly see and feel how closely it matched the lines on his palm. The weapon seemed to have been made specifically for his hand alone.
Excitedly gazing at the weapon with undisguised admiration, Thor said to Sebastian with enthusiasm, "Sebastian, what is the name of this weapon?"
"Stormbreaker. What do you think of that name?"
"Stormbreaker? I like that name very much, so that is what it shall be called!" Thor declared with satisfaction.
Seeing Thor's obvious fondness for his newly crafted weapon, Sebastian's mood brightened considerably. After all, it was his own creation, something he had poured two weeks of intense effort into. It seemed his alchemy and enchanting skills were more than capable of creating powerful artifacts, even if his specialty had always been wands and other magical implements.
Buzz buzz buzz...
Thor wielded his new weapon constantly, swinging it through the air and feeling its perfect balance. The weapon hummed with power in his hands. If it were not for the fact that he was still inside Hogwarts, Thor would have immediately taken to the skies to test out all of Stormbreaker's capabilities in actual flight.
Speaking of which, it is worth mentioning that over the past two weeks, thanks to the exceptional cooperation of Asgard's extraordinarily strong soldiers and civilians, Tony Stark's Iron Engineers have been operating at three hundred percent efficiency. In just two short weeks, the newly born Asgard has already begun to take shape, resembling almost a small town in its layout and structure.
Of course, the newly born Asgard was divided into two distinct parts. The interior of Asgard occupied the majority of the space, existing in a hidden realm accessible only through special portals. The exterior portion on Earth's northern island occupied a smaller portion. However, even the exterior portion had already begun to take recognizable shape, featuring a medium-sized dock for ships, a well-constructed road leading directly to the core area of Asgard, and even several small helipads for modern aircraft.
Energy infrastructure was naturally no exception to this rapid development. The power plant that Tony had built using a third-generation arc reactor was more than sufficient to meet all the electricity needs of Asgard's exterior facilities. As for the interior, the true Asgard existing in the hidden realm, Sebastian had already given Thor all the accumulated information on Asgard's advanced technology and magical systems over the years. The relevant personnel among the Asgardian refugees would naturally handle those internal systems themselves according to their own expertise.
"Alright, I am very satisfied with this weapon, so I will take it back with me now. I still have many important things to attend to in Asgard, so I will not stay here at Hogwarts any longer," Thor said gratefully.
Looking at Thor with understanding, Sebastian nodded in agreement and waved his hand to open a shimmering portal. He said calmly, "Although Stormbreaker has the portal-opening function I added to it through my enchantments, no one else in Hogwarts can use spatial abilities except me. So just go back through the portal I have opened for you this time."
"Thank you very much, Sebastian. I will see you at the gathering in one week's time," Thor said with genuine appreciation.
"Alright, then you will officially be a member of the Illuminati," Sebastian confirmed.
Nodding with satisfaction, Thor stepped forward and entered the portal, returning instantly to the Nordic island where the new Asgard was located.
As the portal closed behind him with a shimmer of energy, Thor's enthusiastic smile gradually faded from his face. He looked around and spotted Valkyrie and Sif, who were standing nearby watching him. He immediately stepped forward with a serious expression, asking urgently, "Have you found Loki yet?"
Glancing at the magnificent Stormbreaker in Thor's hand with brief admiration, Valkyrie replied with concern, "Loki should have left Asgard entirely. We strongly suspect he has gone to the human world outside our territory."
"This bastard..." Thor muttered with frustration.
Looking at Thor with his increasingly gloomy expression, Sif immediately asked with worry, "Thor, are you absolutely sure you want to go find Loki by yourself? With our help, we should be able to find him much sooner, should we not?"
Shaking his head firmly, Thor said with determination, "No, if we all go outside Asgard's boundaries together, it will be far too easy for people to know about it. If Loki's existence and location become known to Earth's authorities, then not only will he be in serious trouble, but we in Asgard will also be implicated in his crimes. Sebastian has helped us tremendously already, and we absolutely cannot cause any more trouble for him.
So this time I will go find Loki by myself. I have the authority given to me by Asgard itself. If I want to use it, I can vaguely sense the general situation of every single Asgardian, no matter where they are. Although it only provides a general direction rather than precise coordinates, it is more than enough to find someone eventually."
Sighing deeply with resignation, Sif looked at Thor and said with concern, "In this case, you had better be extremely careful out there."
"Alright! I will go there right now. If anyone asks where I have been, just tell them I am asleep somewhere inside Asgard's interior. No need to elaborate any further on the details," Thor instructed.
With those words, Thor raised Stormbreaker high in his hand and instantly soared into the sky. He plunged upward into the clouds and disappeared completely from view before Valkyrie and Sif could say anything more.
Valkyrie and Sif exchanged a meaningful glance, both sighing simultaneously, and then returned to Asgard together.
