The trident and the trident collided violently with each other, sending powerful ripples radiating outward through the water in all directions.
Namor and Attuma had exchanged blows countless times throughout their long rivalry. This time, when the royal trident and the rebel trident collided once again with tremendous force, Attuma's trident suddenly shattered into pieces, sending sharp fragments flying in all directions through the water. Meanwhile, Namor's royal trident slashed across Attuma's face with brutal precision, leaving a diagonal streak of blood flowing from the wound.
Quickly retreating backwards through the water, Attuma clutched his wounded face with his hand, peering through his fingers at Namor with hatred burning in his eyes. His voice raspy and filled with bitterness, he said, "This time, I did not lose to you in fair combat, but to the Illuminati and their interference."
Namor looked at Attuma with a stern expression, his usual recklessness and impetuosity completely gone from his demeanor. He whispered in a cold voice, "No matter what excuses you make, you will not survive today. Accept your fate with whatever honor you have left!"
With a sudden powerful movement, Namor, with his royal trident held firmly in hand, charged directly at Attuma to deliver the final blow.
But at that precise moment, a flash of brilliant orange and blue photon energy suddenly burst through the sea water, reaching Attuma at breakneck speed and unleashing a powerful photon blast directly at Namor, forcing him back and away from his target.
Namor's expression changed slightly as he recognized the distinctive energy signature. He growled with anger, "Carol Danvers, have you Avengers and the Shadow Council joined forces together?"
Carol looked at Namor with a serious expression, then at Sebastian, Tony, and the other Illuminati members who were approaching the scene. Her photon energy surrounded and shielded her body from the water pressure, allowing her to navigate the sea with ease despite being a surface dweller.
"I am sorry, but you cannot kill him right now. According to Raina's prophecy and vision of the future, Attuma will be the key to our complete eradication of the Shadow Council, so he cannot die for now!"
"Do I understand correctly that you Avengers want to interfere in the internal affairs of Atlantis without permission?"
Carol looked at Namor with a slight nod of apology on her face. "I am sorry, but he is essential to our mission. Once we have dealt with the Shadow Council and eliminated that threat, we will hand him over to you for judgment."
With that statement, Carol grabbed Attuma firmly and soared upward toward the surface above.
But at that moment, a surging undercurrent suddenly surged through the water with immense power, roiling the entire seabed floor violently.
Namor, with his royal trident raised high in both hands above his head, floated in the water with his hybrid powers on full display. The raging current, controlled entirely by Namor's will, completely blocked Carol's path to the surface.
"Hand over Attuma immediately," he said in a commanding tone, "or I will assume you have declared war on the kingdom of Atlantis!"
As Namor finished speaking those threatening words, Tony approached Carol through the water and said in a calmer voice, "Carol, hand over Attuma to us. We can guarantee he will not be killed immediately. If you want to use him against the Shadow Council, I can help you mediate this situation."
Carol frowned slightly at Tony with visible frustration and asked sharply, "Who are you to say this to me right now? An Avenger or a member of the Illuminati?"
Hearing Carol's confrontational words, Tony grew irritated and confused. He wondered what had gotten into Carol, why she was being so persistent and stubborn, so blindly trusting of that person called Raina without question.
Tony's tone softened somewhat at this thought as he tried reasoning with her.
"Carol, your current behavior is not what an Avenger should do at all!"
"Because you became an Avenger before me, you think you can tell me what to do and what not to do? The Shadow Council is extremely dangerous to the entire world, and the Avengers are the only organization that can properly deal with them and protect innocent people.
Now Raina has seen in her visions that Attuma is the key to dealing with the Shadow Council in the future, so Attuma must be taken away by the Avengers for this purpose. If you, Tony Stark, are still an Avenger at heart, then do not stop me here!"
"Carol, how can you be absolutely sure that what Raina said is right and accurate? What if she is wrong about this prophecy!"

The reason for that failure was that the so-called heroic organization in Hell's Kitchen, the Defenders, did not heed Raina's advice and warnings, resulting in only a half-success and partial victory.
So, tell me, given all these instances of her being correct, why should I not trust Raina's prophetic abilities and precognitive powers?
So, I must take Attuma with me right now, and no one can stop me from doing so!"
Seeing Carol determined to take Attuma away no matter what, Tony was about to say something in response, but Namor rushed over suddenly, swinging his royal trident directly at Carol's back, sending her flying forward through the water.
Carol quickly retreated through the water, gritted her teeth in anger, and instantly transformed into her Binary form with her full cosmic power unleashed. The brilliant orange and blue photon energy emanating from her body illuminated and dissipated into the surrounding water. At the same time, Carol, without holding back any of her power, fired a concentrated beam of photon energy directly at Namor!
"Namor, be careful of the attack!"
Seeing the devastating power of the photon blast approaching, Tony immediately positioned himself in front of Namor, deploying a protective energy shield from his armor.
The photon blast struck Tony's shield with tremendous force, sending both him and Namor flying backwards through the water. Carol, however, grabbed Attuma's arm firmly and flew rapidly toward the surface of the sea above.
But before she could fly very high through the water, she felt her hand suddenly lighten, followed by a painful groan and scream from Attuma.
Turning her head, Carol saw with shock that Attuma's arm had been severed cleanly, with the fragment still remaining in her grasp. Attuma himself, caught in a powerful current, was rapidly falling downward, landing beside Sebastian, unable to move at all.
"Sebastian Shaw... are you stopping me because you are afraid we will truly wipe out the Shadow Council and capture or kill your close friend, Doctor Doom, Victor Von Doom?"
"First of all, Victor is my friend, but we are on different sides of many issues. You are just putting the blame on me unfairly, Carol, you are overstepping your bounds.
Secondly, I have never believed that the so-called Raina could predict anything accurately. If she could truly predict all dangers, she would not have allowed the Afterlife settlement to suffer such a terrible fate and destruction.
Finally, you said you wanted to capture or kill Victor... I am sorry, but I do not look down on you, but with all your powerful cosmic energy, there is no way you could capture him, and as for killing him, that is complete nonsense."
