"What are you doing here, missy?" Asked Pepper Potts in an amused tone as she playfully crossed her arms, trying to look angry but failing. Emma laughed, she knew she wasn't supposed to be this close to the edge of the cruise, like her mother said, but she couldn't help it. The water looked so magical. "Come on, lets go back inside before your father starts wondering where you went," Pepper grabbed Emma's hand and dragged her back into their room where Emma's father was. As Pepper opened the door, Emma could hear the TV playing inside. The door opened and Emma ran in, laughing. Tony Stark put the book down, an amused smile on his face as he saw his daughter laughing and climbing onto the bed. Emma was just 10 years old, but she was very excited. Soon enough, when they got to shore, she would be able to-
"What's that sound?" Tony asked as he stood up, though he already knew. He wasn't the only one who heard it; Shuffle, panic voices, and sinister laughter. "I'll go check it out. You two stay here," He walked towards the door. The cruise's route was close enough for Stowaways to sneak into the cruise and choose the ship to get to their own, at least that's what Emma thought. She looked up at her mother worriedly, "Is dad going to be ok?" She asked, she knew her father was strong and all. He was Iron Man after all, but she still couldn't help but worry. "He's going to be alright, you know how your father is." Pepper tried to reassure her, but she wasn't so sure herself.
A few minutes passed but Tony hadn't come back, and the shouting didn't stop. Pepper and Emma were getting anxious, both worrying about Tony. "I'll... go outside and see if your father is ok.. you stay here, Em," Pepper said to Emma, she grabbed the handle of the door, "Don't go out, you heard me? You stay here." Emma didn't have time to respond, Pepper was already gone.
2 minutes... then 4... Still nothing. Emma was getting more anxious by the second. In a split second decision, she slowly opened the door, pocking her head out to see what was going on. Her eyes widened in fear as she felt a hand over her mouth, "Now now little girl, be quiet." Said a voice behind her, the man held her still. He grabbed a cloth from his pocket and put it over Emma's nose and mouth, something had to be on the cloth because it hade her pass out. The next things were blurry, she remembered waking up in another ship, hands tied behind her back, the cruise getting farther and farther away. "Welcome to the Lost Isle, you wench." Said another man. Emma closed her eyes, and fell asleep again.
