Chapter 4 - A New Beginning

Floor 20 – Eldrinor – Inside Legion's Guild

The morning sun cast a golden glow over Eldrinor as Adonis stepped into the Legion's Guild, his heart pounding with excitement. The guild hall buzzed with activity—adventurers clustered around tables, exchanging stories, while others examined the quest board with keen eyes. But Adonis barely noticed them. His focus was locked onto the shimmering interface that hovered before him, displaying his newly minted adventurer card.

**Name:** Adonis ________ (Left blank—he still didn't know his full name.)

**Class:** Magic Swordsman

**Rank:** F

A grin tugged at his lips. *Finally, I'm official.* The card was a symbol of his new identity, a step toward uncovering the mysteries of his past. With renewed determination, he strode out of the guild, ready to embrace his future.

Floor 20 – Eldrinor – Outside Legion's Guild

The streets of Eldrinor were alive with the sounds of merchants hawking their wares and the clatter of footsteps on cobblestone. As Adonis wandered, his gaze landed on a modest shop tucked between a blacksmith's forge and an apothecary. The display window showcased an array of finely tailored garments, and he suddenly remembered Gaius's words: You should consider changing into a more suitable outfit."

With a shrug, he pushed the door open. A bell chimed softly, and a female attendant, her auburn hair tied back in a neat bun, turned to greet him. Before she could speak, Adonis raised a hand.

"Before you ask," he said dryly, "I'm not a beggar. I'm here to buy clothes, not beg for them."

The attendant blinked, then let out a light, musical laugh. "My apologies, adventurer. How may I assist you today?"

A few minutes later, Adonis emerged from the shop transformed. Gone were the tattered rags; in their place was an outfit that balanced practicality and style. He wore black pants fitted snugly against his legs, paired with a long-sleeved light gray shirt. Over it, a black pinstripe vest buttoned down the front, lending him an air of refined ruggedness. Brown leather straps and pouches encircled his thighs and lower legs—utility belts designed for carrying small items. His feet were clad in sturdy black ankle boots, and dark wristbands adorned his arms.

Adonis examined his reflection in a nearby window and smirked. *I look great.*

Floor 20 – Eldrinor – Inside Legion's Guild

Back at the Legion's Guild, Adonis stood before the quest board, his eyes scanning the myriad of flyers pinned to its surface. Each promised adventure, danger, and reward, but many bore ranks far beyond his fledgling status. His fingers trailed over the parchment until one notice caught his attention:

**Objective:** Kill 50 Goblins

**Reward:** 200TP

**Rank:** E

**Location:** Sunderwood

It was perfect—a challenge just beyond his current rank, but not so daunting that it seemed impossible. He plucked the flyer from the board and approached the guild clerk to register his intent.

As the clerk processed his request, an interface materialized before him, confirming the details of his quest. Adonis's pulse quickened. This was it—his first real step into the world of adventuring.

With a deep breath, he turned on his heel and marched toward the guild's exit, his mind already racing with strategies for the hunt ahead.

*Let's do this.*
