Chapter 26 - My name is RAIDEN....

IMPORTANT: THIS IS ELOULAS MEMORY WITH NEW CHARTERS OF HER PAST SHE DREAMS HER MEMORY

They were calling my name.

Lianhua.

Linahua.

Echoes of my name rippled through the wind, traveling from rooftops to the depths of the city, like a prayer.

I had just defeated a demon – a real one – right in the heart of the capital. It wasn't the first, and it probably wouldn't be the last. That was my life now. A never-ending war.

People said I was the the best Warrior , but I didn't care about titles.

What mattered was survival.

What mattered was strength.

Yes, I was a girl. But even now, no one really knew my story.

No one knew what I had been through.

.Just Lianhua – the name whispered in both fear and hope.

The imperial palace was glowing under the afternoon sun, shining like a golden mountain of illusions. I had been invited there by the emperor himself — a reward, they said, for saving the outer villages, for slaying monsters and evil people alike.

I just felt...like a hero

It's important that people have hope

or dreams

without them, life is lost

And yet, as I walked through the city toward the gates, people stepped aside. They clapped. They cheered. They celebrated.Even the sky seemed to open up for me

.In a strange way, the universe itself was calling out my name.

But I was a loner. I had no family. No real friends. No one waiting for me.Maybe it was better that way. Every day could be my last. And when death is always by your side, attachment becomes a weakness.

I was also different. Not just stronger.Special.

My shoulder-length hair swayed slightly as I walked.I had cut it short as a symbol.Hair was everything for women back then. But not for me. I didn't need beauty.I needed sharpness .I needed freedom.

What I was interested in, though, was men who thought women were weak.I liked hurting them.Especially those with pride so high they didn't see the sword coming until it kissed their throat.

So no — I wasn't interested in romance.Not now.Not ever.

But the question is who is interested in me

...

My clothes were still stained with blood, torn from battle. Not the best outfit for an imperial invitation, I know.

I arrived at the palace gates. The guards saw me and nodded with deep respect, like they were greeting a god of war. I stepped past the gates into a place filled with gold, white stone, and towering statues of long-dead emperors.

Each step inside echoed.I felt... powerful.Like every footprint claimed this palace for myself.

But I knew one thing very well:

Power is dangerous

And if you hold it too tightly — it can be the thing that kills you.

The grand hall opened before me like a scene from a dream.A thick red carpet rolled all the way to the emperor's throne.

Noblemen lined the walls

.Music played softly in the background.

At the far end, the emperor sat tall, proud, flanked by two young men. His sons. The princes.

I had heard stories — the queen had died giving birth to the second. But I didn't know their names.I didn't even know which was older.

I walked down the carpet slowly, trying not to trip or show emotion.People clapped, some bowed.I didn't wave, but I nodded politely.Once I reached them, I bowed deeply.

The first son stood. He had wavy brown hair, a sharp jaw, and eyes that felt like they were studying me — too closely.

He gave a small smirk as he stepped forward and shook my hand.

Then the emperor, warm and proud, spoke loudly."My deepest thanks for your courage. For your strength. For saving our people.

"I smiled faintly and said, "It was an honor."

Then came the second son.

I bowed and shook his hand. And that's when I saw him.

Black hair. Eyes like midnight rain.A smile that was soft, but dangerous.

He didn't say much. But something about him made the world go quieter.

Then came the gifts.

The first prince clapped, and his servants brought out a small, beautifully carved box. Inside was a robe — violet and silver threads, soft as wind.I gasped quietly and bowed.

"Thank you," I said.

I was glad to have new ones, mine is always full of blood or torn I had to grin a little

Then the emperor's gift. A dark wooden box, sealed in gold. Inside was a bracelet with diamonds and pearls. So many colors, I felt like I was staring into a galaxy.I couldn't even guess the value.

"Thank you again," I whispered, clutching it in disbelief.

Then the second son stood.Silence.

His voice was calm, but loud."I believe you don't need these things."People murmured. Even I raised an eyebrow.

Hhm what did he mean

Then he turned toward his brother and father."They're wrong," he said. "She doesn't need pretty things. She needs this."

A servant stepped forward, holding a sword.

A katana.Elegant, yet deadly.Long, black handle wrapped in red thread. The blade shimmered with light. And there, on its surface — engraved — my name. Lianhua.

My heart stopped.

He offered it to me.I took it gently, hands almost shaking.I could feel its weight. Its strength.

I lifted it slowly and threw it once in the air.It spun perfectly.Caught the light.I caught it in one hand.

"Perfect," I said.

The second prince stepped forward. "So?"

I smiled mischievously, cut my finger lightly on the blade. Blood rose.

"It's perfect," I repeated, holding up the bleeding finger.

He laughed.And I couldn't help but smile.

The ceremony continued, people asked questions. I gave half-truths.Never the full story.

Then I slipped away from the crowd.

Ohooooo finally, because it was very narrow and the air was thick I felt a little dizzy

I went to the The palace garden.

It was quiet, peaceful.

Cherry blossoms rained like snow from the trees. There was a pond reflecting the sky, soft wind, and silence.

I took the sword and swung it slowly through the air.It moved like it was part of me.

this was a perfect gift I love it and yes I need a new word really this prince is really interesting

I was alone. I liked it that way. Or so I thought.

Then I heard footsteps.

I pointed the sword in that direction as if the person were an enemy.

I barely hit the target, and there was a tiny scratch.

Then I saw his face. The second prince.

OH SHITT

"Oh gods — I'm sorry! I didn't—"Why did I sound so stupid?

He laughed."It's fine. That was impressive."

he lightly wiped the blood droplet."You're strong," he said.

"I hear that a lot," I smirked.

"Do you like the gift?" he asked.

"YES. TOTALLY."Too loud.

He blinked in surprise.

"I'm glad," he said.

"I have a question that you want to stay in our village"

"yes" I said

then his face became serious and said "But I have to warn you... our city has enemies too. A gang. The Black Snakes. Skilled swordsmen. Dangerous."

"They should be the ones afraid," I answered. "I'm not easily caught."

"They all have tattoos," he said quietly. "Snake tattoos.

I held his gaze."My name is Lianhua for a reason," I said softly.

"You should not underestimate them, they kidnap people or rob them or the kill them" he said

" I said "okay thanks for the info maybe I can help

He nodded, slowly turning to leave

I didn't know why but I had the desire to know his name

I was behind him now, I wanted to ask now.

No, why should I care what his name is?

Hmm

Just now.

Okay, ask now.

No, let him.

I was just about to touch his shoulder when he noticed it and turned around.

I kept my distance but didn't notice that there was a stone behind me.

I stumbled and threatened to fall.

But a hand held me tight.

He smiled slightly and said,

"Yes, be careful"

He helped me up.

He said, "What did you want to ask?"

I was like, "No, nothing."

He said, "Yeah, sure."

So I said, "Yeah, okay, what's your name?"

He slowly turned towards me and asked why.

I said, "Why not?"

He smiled and said, "

My name is

Raiden."
