"AAAHHHHHHH!"
William let out a glutaral scream as his body collapsed amongst the bloody corpses of the goblin commander he had slain.
His muscles visibly spasmed uncontrollably under his taut and pallid skin which would have made any nearby predators avoid him as if he was some diseased creature suffering until its eventual death.
"AHHH!"
William clawed at the dirt, dragging himself toward the fallen meteor, his muscles rebelling with every strained movement.
It felt like lightning was searing its way through his body and he was unable to stop gritting his teeth, eventually in what felt to him like hours he reached the meteorite which had cooled down quite a bit allowing him to safely touch it and leaned his body against it to rest.
Inside the meteor however a dull glow caught William's attention and he through his bloodshot and blurry vision he could see some kind of crystalline metal shimmering with what can only be described as magical light.
As William stretches a hand toward the gleaming surface the spasms once again resurfaced and forced him into a prone position on the ground.
"Crk!"
The only sound he could make was a small groan of displeasure as his body continued to undergo a permanent transformation.
After a few minutes of suffering that felt like hours to William the cramping and the tearing pain finally began to subside.
William looked at his body and noticed a thick viscous black substance around him which left him confused before the smell of the material hit him and he suddenly felt the urge to vomit!
"UAGG!"
He suddenly vomited on top of the strange dark and viscous material leaving a mess on top of a mess.
After breathing heavily on the ground and spitting out the remnants of the vomit he eventually sat up from his prone position and using the meteors rough surface as leverage to help himself to his feet.
"CRACK!"
The part of the meteor he had been using for leverage snapped free of the rest of the spaceborne mass nearly causing William to fall forward but as if he had been expecting the fall he reached out with one hand and to his surprise, he caught himself with one hand.
Remembering what he was doing before he suddenly lost his ability to move, he subconsciously pulled up his system interface.

"Human-plus?' he muttered. What the hell does that even mean?'"
William's eyes flashed as his thoughts cascaded through a myriad of potential ideas but the closest thing he could think of would be the Mutants from X-men comics but clearly that wasn't applicable here as he doesn't remember any of them having a system.
[Skills: Handicraft - Lvl 2, Focus - Lvl 2, Sneak Skill - Lvl 2, Danger Sense Skill - Lvl 1]
William thought to put five skill points into Danger Sense and focus which leveled up Danger Sense to level two and brought his Focus skill nearly two thirds of the way to level three.
[Skills: Handicraft - Lvl 2, Focus - Lvl 2, Sneak Skill - Lvl 2, Danger Sense Skill - Lvl 2]
Nodding fervently as he allocated all but five points into the skills he desired, he figured he would save those for a rainy day or a new powerful skill.
His eyes soon turned to the still faintly glowing mass of crystalline metal embedded within the mass of fire darkened meteorite.
"I really hope it's not radioactive, I would hate to end up an angry green giant!"
William brushed the smooth and glowing surface of the material and marveled at how beautiful it was.
"I'm definitely taking this with me!"
William grabbed one of the discarded spears from one of the goblins he had killed before and began chiseling away at the surrounding rock surface of the meteor soon revealing a much larger piece of glowing crystalline metal beneath the surface.
He pried the large chunk of glowing crystalline ore from the now crumbled meteor remains and held it in his hands with eyes sparkling with wonder.
[Ding] Sky-steel ore - Medium sized - Very Rare
[Description] Sky-steel: A rare crystalline metal birthed from the heart of fallen stars. To the eye, it gleams with a soft, ethereal light, shifting hues between silver, azure and deep violet as it catches the air. Its surface is smooth yet faceted like a living gemstone, and it hums faintly with the pulse of cosmic energy. Sky-steel is known to be impossibly light as well as unbreakably strong. Weapons and armor crafted from it are said to channel the very essence of the heavens, granting their user speed, resilience and power beyond normal means.]
William's eyes flashed with greed as he read the rather lengthy description.
"If I made a weapon with something like this, I would be sure to be nearly unstoppable for at least awhile!"
His eyes turned to his (Handicraft) skill and shook his head, there was no way he would risk using this item for forging until the level raised and the chance of creating a perfect item was reasonable.
The Ore in his hands seemed to shimmer and vanish as William placed the large and unwieldy object inside his system space which due to the size of the ore nearly took up the entire space.
William soon collected the metal weapons the goblins were using and left the burnt clearing, within thirty seconds of William leaving though a rather large group of goblins approached from the opposite side of the clearing riding some kind of beast reminiscent of a cross between a hyena and a wolf.
It wasn't long before the large group found the corpses of the excavating party they had sent and a rather large goblin with brighter skin and a more muscular appearance roared in hatred at whoever had stolen his prize as he sent the surrounding lesser goblins to search for the thief or thieves responsible.
However unfortunately for the goblins, William was decently far away and only turned around when he heard a distant yell that at only caused him to speed his already speedy movement through the woods.
"I am so light!"
William bounded farther than was considered normal with each step and in his excitement, he puts a little extra effort into his step and leaps into the woods.
"WOOOOHOOOOO!"
He couldn't help but howl as he felt like he was flying through the woods.
William was bounding through the woods faster than an Olympic athlete could run a straight line towards the spot where he had originally deviated and after dashing for less than half the time, he arrived at the area he was at beforehand and continued moving through the woods towards the running water source.
Eventually by the time a dense sheen of sweat formed over his lanky frame he could finally hear the gurgling of a river.
"Finally!"
William collapsed against the underside of a tree as the relaxing sound of passing water relaxed his mind.
He felt weirdly energetic despite the fact that he had ran so far and he wondered if it had something to do with either his stats or the strange addition symbol next to human.
"I should at least build myself a shelter!"
He gets up and scratches the back of his head as he unfurled a goblins axe that would make do for wood chopping in the meantime.
"THUD!"
William swung the axe at the tree which trembled in response to the force moving through it and when he removed the blade from the tree, he noticed that the axe had embedded itself a fifth of the way through with a single swing.
His eyes went wide, and his thoughts raced, he had never swung an axe before so the fact that he could go so deep with one swing was more than just a little impressive.
"THUD, THUD!"
With two more mighty swings the tree begins to fall over on its side and finally crashed into the forest floor.
William felt utterly astonished at his sudden increase in strength, never before could he fell a tree with just a few swings.
"This is unreal!"
He said as he squeezed his fist tight around a branch of the tree.
"CRACK!"
The small compared to a regular tree limb but still rather large piece of the tree began cracking audibly and much to William's utter shock he pulled it free of the tree with one easy movement.
After marveling at his own strength for a moment he goes back to work making himself a small shelter by chopping the tree into sections he would then fold over themselves with the other ends being sharpened and forced into the ground.
The sun disappeared over the horizon when William completed his wooden shelter, and he laid down inside to get some rest and was simply ill-prepared for the sudden wave of exhaustion to hit him.
As William's stamina had reached an extremely low point, he had fallen asleep.
Suddenly William's soul was passed from one world to another which to him felt like he was moving in a tunnel of moving lights and swirling darkness.
Back on Earth William's eyes snapped open, he felt amazing, but even as good as he felt his nose was suddenly assaulted by a pungent stench and sat up to see the top of his bed being covered in a strange black substance.
William gagged and nearly vomited but due to the fact that his stomach was empty he saved himself making an even bigger mess.
He would unfortunately have to buy some new sheets and a blanket as his original bed top was drenched in a strange smelly black goo.
"There is no way I'm risking the washer with this stuff, it might as well be tar!"
He tucked the dirtied blanket and sheets into a dirty clothes bin and headed to the bathroom before returning with a spray can.
"SPPPPTTT!"
He empties the can inside the room before opening the window to air it out.
After a minute the smell became somewhat more bearable, and William could finally somewhat breath as he headed to the bathroom to have a shower.
The bathroom was filled with the sound of running hot water as he cleansed what remained of the strange black substance from his body.
For some reason he felt strange, like his every movement was light as a feather, and his body felt abnormally hard.
He looked down and saw his formerly small chest which seems to have developed a large amount of muscle giving him the appearance of a person who regularly works out at a rather extreme level.
His hands trailed his seemingly muscular but thin frame, and he felt the telltale signs of a set of abs which surprised him as he had been quite weak before.
However, it was then that he noticed something.
His hand trailed down further and grasped something before his eyes went wide.
"Di..... Did I get second puberty or something?"
He was utterly astonished at the rather extreme changes his body underwent as he slept and began flexing in the mirror to get a complete grasp of his strange new body.
William was mid pose when a knock rang out loudly which caught him off guard and caused him to jump up in fright.
"WILLIAM... Come get breakfast and get going to school, you are going to be late at this rate!"
He sighed when he heard his mother's voice and after waiting for her to depart, he gets dressed in pair of shorts and a formerly loose-fitting shirt which now hugged his muscles to the point that his mother dropped her fork when she saw him come downstairs.
Her eyes scanned William up and down with a mother's glare that inherently sent a shiver through his spine as he was expecting to get scolded.
"We should go shopping for clothes soon!"
The tension fades as she said this and returned to normal, but throughout breakfast she kept eyeing William with differing looks.
