Chapter 69 - Chapter 69 「Final Proposal」

Two months had passed, and it was finally time for Jet's family to meet Han.

"You didn't say he was a celebrity!" Minah exclaimed, her voice high with surprise and amusement.

Jet scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. "Surprise?" he offered with a shrug. "But that's not the point of meeting you both today!"

Von smiled warmly at the couple, the laughter from Minah's outburst still lingering in the air. "Then what is it, son?"

Jet took a deep breath, glancing at Han before continuing. It was difficult to find the right words, to break it to his family and friends. He had never expected to be here, but now that he was, he knew he had to be honest.

"I... We're getting married," Jet finally admitted, his voice steady but filled with emotion.

Minah froze, eyes wide in disbelief, but the shock softened quickly as the realization sunk in. She turned her gaze to Han, who simply smiled in return. There was no need for grand explanations. The bond between them spoke for itself.

Han's speech from months ago had reached deep into people's hearts. His declaration had given him the freedom to live his truth, choosing his own love, his own life. And now, Jet had the same support from those he held dear.

The wedding day arrived quickly, without hesitation. The couple, who had already been through so much, wasn't going to wait any longer. They wore white suits—simple yet elegant—matching each other perfectly.

Von walked her son down the aisle, her tears a mix of joy and sadness. It was a moment of both loss and gain. The moment when she handed her son to his future, to the man who loved him.

Jet's eyes welled up as he saw his mother's tears. Letting go wasn't easy, but he knew this was the right choice. The right step forward. As the ceremony progressed, Jet was welcomed into the Yau family—officially and wholeheartedly.

The ceremony ended with a grand dinner, filled with laughter, good food, and even better company. It was a celebration not just of the marriage, but of the unity and love that bound everyone together.

Later that night, back at the hotel, Jet suddenly felt nauseous. The moment the door closed behind them, he hurried to the bathroom, his stomach twisting in discomfort. Han followed closely behind, his concern evident as he patted Jet's back soothingly.

"Take it easy," Han murmured, his hand gently rubbing Jet's back.

The unease in Jet's eyes didn't go unnoticed by Han. There was an extra presence in the room, something lingering, but no one was physically there.

Jet barely managed to sit back up, wiping his mouth. "I don't know what's wrong," he muttered, his voice thick with worry.

Han crouched down next to him, his brow furrowing. He could sense something was off, something more than just the emotional toll of the day. His mind raced—had they missed something important?

—

The next morning, they headed to the doctor, their minds filled with questions. What was happening? Was it just stress from the wedding, or was there something more?

"I guess I should say, congratulations!" The doctor smiled awkwardly at the two Alphas sitting across from him.

Both of them blinked in shock, looking at each other, then back at the doctor, their brains struggling to process the words.

"Wait, what?" Han asked, his voice tinged with confusion. He exchanged a glance with Jet, neither of them sure if they heard right.

The doctor sighed, adjusting his glasses. "I know this is a lot to take in. But it's true. Jet is an Alpha, and yet… you, Han—well..." He paused, letting the information sink in before pointing directly at Han. "You have an extra trait. It's so rare, in fact, that it's almost considered a myth. It's called 'Enigma.'"

Han's brow furrowed. "What do you mean?"

The doctor shook his head. "From the blood tests, they were done incorrectly. Let me show you." He flipped open a file, pointing to a small notation that had clearly been overlooked. "You're not a Alpha. You have the Enigma trait—the rare ability to impregnate Alphas without affecting their own status. It's incredibly rare, almost unheard of."

Jet turned his head slowly toward Han, memories of a conversation years ago flooding his mind—the legend Han had spoken of in passing.

Han blinked, his thoughts racing. "So… you're saying... He's pregnant?"

The doctor gave a soft chuckle, as if this wasn't the first time he'd explained something this bizarre.

"Bingo. You're smarter than you look." He smiled, looking between the two of them. "And if you sense an extra presence, it's the baby. They're probably just trying to find their father."

Jet's heart skipped a beat, the weight of it all settling over him. Pregnant? With Han's baby?

This was... impossible. But the proof was right in front of him. Han's expression was a mixture of disbelief and awe, his hand finding Jet's in an automatic, comforting gesture.

"So… What now?" Han asked, voice a little hoarse as he tried to absorb everything. "Is there anything we need to do? How does this even… work?"

The doctor chuckled again, more gently this time. "You don't have to do anything extraordinary, just take care of each other. The baby will grow as it would in any other situation. You may have to make some adjustments, but… this is just the beginning."

Jet's gaze never left Han, trying to come to terms with the strange reality of their situation. They had always been a team, facing impossible things together, but this... this was new, uncharted ground.

Han squeezed Jet's hand, his voice soft but full of certainty. "We'll figure this out. Together."

Jet nodded, his heart pounding as the doctor's words slowly sank in. Their lives were about to change forever, in ways they could never have imagined.

A year and a half had passed, and now they were preparing for a grand gala. Han had been invited, along with a plus-two. Naturally, he brought Jet, their family now a little larger with the baby now.

They stepped into the venue, their steps confident, though Han wasn't facing the cameras or the flashes of the paparazzi.

It wasn't until someone called out to him that he finally turned. His face softened when his eyes landed on the source of the voice—an adorable little baby, no older than a year. The baby's eyes were wide, curious, and Han couldn't help but smile. The child had his features, his hair color, the same mischievous glint in the eyes.

It was a moment that made the heart swell, the bond of family so palpable in that simple exchange. This confused everyone. Wasn't Han married to an Alpha?

"Just found out I'm an Enigma," Han told.

But just as Han's gaze lingered on the child, Jet caught up, slightly out of breath from chatting with other celebrities. Han turned to him, a gentle smile curving his lips. But then something shifted in the air. As Jet moved closer, the crowd seemed to quiet just for a second, their eyes narrowing, their whispers rising.

Jet's stomach, once flat, now noticeably bulged, the undeniable sign of pregnancy. The room held its breath, everyone realizing what they had missed for months. The subtle but undeniable truth—Jet was pregnant with their second child.

Han took Jet's hand, their fingers intertwining, the bond between them growing stronger with every passing day, every shared moment. Jet gave him a soft smile, his eyes filled with warmth and love, the journey they had walked together culminating in this. The sounds of cameras went off in rapid succession, capturing the moment of pure happiness.

Han covered the baby's eyes, turning around to not scare him.

The crowd was in awe, whispered, and talked among themselves, but Han and Jet only had eyes for their family. They didn't need the world's approval. What mattered was that they had each other. And now, their family is growing once again.

In that moment, as the flashes of the cameras continued to illuminate them, Han and Jet stood hand in hand, a family in every sense of the word. Their love, their choices, their story—it was real. And that was all that mattered.

And who knew, in the future, their family of three would grow to six, with four little Yau's filling the house with laughter—Ron, Yu, Owen, and Kenneth.

But it was Owen Yau who stood out. The most unexpected of them all, he would one day inherit a Mafia title... and with it, a future that no one, not even Han and Jet, could have predicted.

And the next chapter of Owen's life would take a turn.

–The end.
