As the years passed, the battle in the endless Void Sea grew ever more ferocious. The Goddess of Life, her body riddled with holes and shattered by countless blows, finally stood tall amidst the endless darkness. Across from her, the ten Gods hovered, each radiating unbroken, immense power.
Irene let out a soft, bitter sigh. "So… this day has finally come…" she murmured.
The other Gods' eyes burned with boundless murderous intent. The Goddess of Death's gaze blazed like twin stars of annihilation. "You will fall," she sneered. "Life and death cannot coexist…"
The Goddess of Death no longer cared about the cause of the Dao League or the Devin Court. All that mattered in her eyes was the annihilation of the Goddess of Life. Her hatred sprang from her very essence—they could not coexist. This was a battle for the Dao itself; only one of them could survive.
Irene's cold eyes Full with Anger. Murderous intent exploded from her in all directions, cracking the void around her. "If you insist on killing me, then I will take you with me!" she roared, her voice shaking the endless space itself.
She began to burn her origin and law, her essence sublimating to the extreme. Power surged outward like a supernova, twisting the laws of the Void Sea, bending space, and scorching stars into dust. Her aura became a black-and-gold storm, consuming all light and shadow alike.
The Goddess of Death Flinched, Anger and shock twisting her features. "Damn it… lunatic!" she hissed.
The other ten Gods could no longer stand idle. Destruction Roared, "Stop her—no matter the cost!" and Throws his God-Slaying Stone, toward her.
The Void Sea erupted. Streams of law and energy collided with earth-shattering force. Stars shattered into brilliant shards, black holes twisted and howled, and waves of destructive energy hurled everything through space. Abyssinia struck with all her might, hatred and fear coiling into every blow, aiming to tear Irene apart.
As Irene reached her peak, breaking through even the Nine-Level Ancestor God threshold, a terrifying aura erupted from her. She raised her jade hand, and with a flick, the relentless strikes of the other Gods dissipated like mist before a gale.
Then, with a graceful yet unstoppable motion, she stretched her hand toward the heavens. From her palm, a colossal hand of radiant, golden-Green energy erupted, stretching across the Void Sea itself, blotting out the stars and covering the ten Gods in a blink of an eye.
Not good!" the God of Slaughter screamed, his voice cracking under the sheer weight of terror. He turned to flee, and the others followed, panic erupting in their hearts
Where are you running?" Irene's voice cut through the void like a sharpened blade.
Her gaze burned with infinite murderous intent, each glance a storm of annihilation. Her eyes locked on Abyssinia, the Goddess of Death.
The giant hand descended. Space itself wailed under its weight. Stars shattered into fragments; The currents of nothingness churned in torment. When the hand slammed down.
The ten Gods were blasted into a blood mist, scattered across the Endless Void.
Abyssinia suffered the brunt of the strike the most . Flesh, spirit, and divine essence all collided with the crushing force. Her form was blasted into a maelstrom of gore and law, scattered across the Void Sea like leaves before a hurricane.
Irene's presence alone became a cataclysm. Her murderous intent radiated like a thousand collapsing stars, and the Void Sea itself seemed to bend and quiver under her wrath.
Although the ten Gods quickly restored their forms, their bodies were riddled with terrifying Dao wounds, scars that would take countless years to fully heal. Abyssinia suffered the most, as nearly all of the Goddess of Life's attacks had focused on her, each strike tearing through her essence and spirit like a flood of molten knives.
The Goddess of Death's eyes burned with hatred as she stared at Irene. "You may be powerful now," she hissed, voice dripping venom," but it's only because you're burning yourself. You're already dying."
Irene's gaze swept across Abyssinia. A faint sigh escaped her lips, soft yet heavy with inevitability. "You're right… I am already dying," she admitted, her voice like distant thunder, "but…" Her eyes narrowed, glimmering with grim determination, "before I burn completely, I will take you with me."
With that, the Goddess of Life vanished and reappeared directly before Abyssinia. Her fist, glowing with the essence of life itself, struck like a comet of annihilation.
Abyssinia's colossal form was pulverized, blasted across countless light-years of the Void Sea. Blood, bones, and fragments of divine energy scattered like meteors, painting the void in crimson and shadows.
Abyssinia's scream echoed across the endless emptiness, a sound of pain, rage, and disbelief, vibrating through the void like the shattering of a universe.
" how dare you do this to me"
As she slowly rose, her anger consuming all reason, Abyssinia's body condensed into a humanoid form. Her hair was a flowing jet-black cascade, glinting with deathly light.
Her attire shimmered like night itself—an obsidian robe embroidered with veins of crimson and silver, flowing like ink in water, and adorned with jagged metallic plates that glimmered with shadows of departed souls.
Dark chains swirled around her arms, faintly glowing with the remnants of countless lifetimes claimed by her, whipping like serpents in the void.
Her eyes blazed with lethal fire as she burned her origin and laws of Death, a wave of black and violet energy erupting from her core. "I will definitely kill you!" she roared, her voice carrying across the Void Sea like a hammer against eternity.
The aura of the two Goddesses collided with a cataclysmic force. Life and death clashed, the heavens trembling, stars shattering into showers of blood and light. The Void Sea itself roared as if it had grown sentient, twisted and torn by the pressure of their combined power.
Destruction, watching from a distance, shivered. "Crazy… all of them have gone mad," he muttered, turning to retreat.
The God of Sin, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed the chaos, muttered bitterly, "Let them fight. Finish the Goddess of Life, and aid Death… we'll see who falls first." He had already retreated millions of miles, keeping distance from the cataclysm.
Slaughter shook his head, voice grim but measured. "It seems this battle has surpassed our ability to intervene. But we need not worry—she who burns herself first will fall first. We only need to wait and rescue the Goddess of Death when the time comes."
The others nodded in agreement, their expressions tense.
Disaster's eyes flickered toward the distant stars. "The commotion… it will surely attract the Devine Court. We must prepare for their arrival."
On the edge of the universe, far from the chaos of the Void Sea, the Goddess of Death stood upright, radiating a noble, frost-like aura. Her face was cold and beautiful, like jade sculpted by the heavens; her bare feet hovered above the void, toes delicate and ethereal.
Her long, midnight-black hair floated like ink in the wind, and her slender hands gleamed pale as moonlight, fingers tipped with subtle divine energy. Her gaze fixed on the Goddess of Life, Abyssinia, boundless murderous intent radiating from her icy eyes.
All paths of the Dao converge upon death," she said, her voice sharp and ruthless.
Her words rolled across the void like a tidal wave, resonating with heaven and earth, shaking the very foundations of the boundless universe. It was as if an immortal emperor had descended, imposing the weight of eternity upon all existence.
Irene's brow furrowed. The Goddess of Death was truly formidable, surpassing any opponent she had ever faced. making even her soul shake continuously.
If it were anyone else, if it were the dozen or so words just now, a single sentence would have been enough to make their true soul tremble, thus stepping onto the path of death, eternal silence.
This really was too powerful. Just words chanted from the mouth were enough to send a world-shocking Eight-Level creature into the afterlife, losing their Immortal Dao fate.
Boom!
The oppressive aura pressed down like a mountain, and Irene's fist smashed forward. A dominating, radiant energy surged outward, fierce and unrelenting, aiming directly at Abyssinia to suppress her.
"Dressing as a god! I am also at the Nine-Level Ancestor God. Who dares send me into the afterlife with mere words? The Path of Death? I'll send you there!"
Her voice boomed like a heavenly emperor issuing a decree. Great Dao symbols coalesced above her, forming a massive golden seal that Shoot toward Abyssinia. The entire universe quivered under its weight.
" Unbridled!"
A sharp, berating voice echoed from the darkness of the universe, carrying shock, fury, and killing intent. Endless dark symbols surged outward as Abyssinia took action.
A massive white jade palm descended slowly but heavily, carrying the overwhelming might of divine law. Under that palm, the sun and moon swirled, boundless stars and endless cosmos taking form, primal chaos rippling throughout. Even the faint outline of a death realm path could be discerned.
The palm didn't look large, it instead seemed rather ordinary, but it controled everything in the world. It was as if she was creating heaven and earth, . It truly was extremely horifying!
"Who is it that is acting so impudently?!" Irene's voice thundered. Her white robes billowed like storm clouds above the void. She formed a fist imprint in the air, unleashing boundless divine might to counter the gray-black palm.
Boom!
The collision shattered the Chaotic Void, sending violent tremors across the universe. The great earth cracked open, the celestial dome split, and a storm of incomprehensible scale erupted.
Shockwaves spread swiftly across the surrounding cosmos, and only because they fought at the edge of the universe was the devastation limited; otherwise, every world along their path would have been obliterated.
These were two powerful individuals—the pinnacle of what the Mountains and Seas Realm could produce, the peak of combat power an individual could currently reach.
Their world-shocking attacks shook the heavens above and the earth below, and the great river of time itself almost severed.
