Derrick stared at the obstacles in front of him and frowned. "Are these supposed to be the training I'm to do? Don't tell me that Severin had been scammed?"
He was standing on a narrow stone edge that could barely allow him to take a step forward before he fell to the dark abyss below.
But that wasn't all.
Derrick could see the other edge of a stone a few meters in front of him. But the thing was, between the two edges were wires. Thin ropes that connected the two, crisscrossing all over.
Just two ropes.
Derrick didn't have to be told to know that he had to cross it by walking on the two ropes. He frowned tightly. "This doesn't look difficult."
Since Severin had highlighted his lack of flexibility, he had started training, and the instructor Ardent had personally focused on that during their training days.
He used his legs to test the ropes and found out that they were firm. He took a step forward and slid onto the ropes.
Crack.
He froze immediately.
