"This doesn't seem like the best training method," Derrick declared immediately, and he didn't step further into the room.
The others seemed to support him, as they didn't immediately enter. They stood by the door and watched Miret stride into the room. "This is not the best training method. It's simply the method that has been proven to work."
Severin had never heard of such methods as well, but he'd already accepted his lot. The book would continue to surprise him. "Are these really dangerous?"
Miret smiled softly, his cold eyes on him. "Are you not the one that wants me to train you? Don't tell me you are ready to back out of this?"
Severin smiled gently. "Do you think I would be where I am now if I backed out of things that have the potential to kill me? Go on, Miret, continue. Tell us what this training is all about."
Without waiting, Severin strode into the room, his eyes casually scanning the caskets.
