[3rd POV]
"Miss Maximoff, you called and said that the man that we are interested in meeting is here?" Picard asked, glancing and noticing the Doctor. He had a feeling that this was the man in question, but he wanted to be sure beforehand, he didn't want to assume or anything.
"Indeed. Captain Picard, meet the Doctor, a member of the Timelord species, and one of the greatest adventurers and explorers in all of creation" Wanda replied, not even lying. The man was easily in the absolute peaks of explorers, not just in his own universe, but in all universes, all multiverses, and whatever else.
There was few people in creation that had seen as much as he had, that had done as much as he had, and that knew as much as he knew. And he was still young too, considering he cannot die from age due to his state as the timeless child.
Not that he knew about that particular piece of information just yet. That wasn't going to be revealed until his thirteenth self, in which he becomes a she, and her life changes quite a bit with some of the things that went down.
Like the Master, the Daleks...again, the death of the Timelords...again, and all the other bullshit that went down in that time span. Honestly, she wasn't sure which version of the modern doctors went through the craziest shit. She imagined it was between 10 and 11, but she wasn't sure. 13 had gone through some insane stuff.
Eh, it didn't matter either way.
"It's nice to meet you, Captain. I have been told that you have been wanting to see me for some time?" The Doctor said, looking interested into why exactly the man and the two others with him wanted to see him.
He noticed pretty quickly that Worf was an alien from this other plane, and a very interesting one at that. He had seen a few species that were similar in appearance to them, but none that were quite the same.
The other thing that he noted, was that the other one, the taller man that was unusually pale, was definitely not a human. And after looking him over a bit, he began to realize that it was in fact, some sort of advanced android.
He had to bite back the urge to ask questions about that one.
"Yes we have. Miss Maximoff had informed us of you and your adventures after we had found one of the books you had sold her. And after we had been told of this, I figured that it would be best to meet someone who does what we do" Picard explained, as the Doctor slowly nodded in understanding.
"And what is it that you do, Captain Picard?" The Doctor asked, interested in his response, while Wanda was humming and listening while sipping on her tea. Usually she would not listen into a conversation, but this one that she was very interested in learning and hearing about.
"We are members of the Starfleet, an organization run by the United Federation of Planets. Our primary purpose it to explore the stars, and see things that have never been seen before. This includes exploration for scientific reasons, simply to explore and learn new things, as well as to help in diplomatic matters, and helping those that may need it" Picard explained, before continuing.
"However, we also follow strict rules, the biggest of which is known as the "Prime Directive" which disallows us from interfering in the natural development and growth of species that have not yet reached the stars. There is also rules against the willful killing of intelligent life, and some other minor ones. That is the simplest explanation of what we do, Doctor" Picard finished, with The Doctor's smile slowly growing the more he listened.
"You know, I have to say I like the sound of your organization, Captain. I also do similar acts, but instead of simply exploring the galaxy as you do, I also travel to other galaxies, and even the past or future" The Doctor replied, with Picard already knowing this, but still looked surprised that it was real.
"How do you accomplish such a task? We have been told that your species has developed the means to produce what is the equivalent of infinite energy. But what is the process that allows for temporal travel?" Data asked, not able to restrain his curiously anymore.
The Doctor chuckled at the question "I know the answer, my good friend. But, I will not be sharing it. As like you, I do not wish to interfere in the natural development of other species. And time travel is still well beyond your capabilities, and more importantly, it is beyond what your species can reasonably handle"
Data looked a little disappointed, before hearing the next words coming from the Doctor.
"But I must say, you truly are a work of art. It's rare to run into an android as advanced as you are. And the fact that you are welcomed by this Starfleet, is a good sign of the character of its leaders" The Doctor said with a small smile, growing increasingly interested in this group.
"You can tell with just a look?" Worf asked, surprised.
"Hmm? Of course. Once you have seen as many androids as I have, it's easy to tell them apart. And while I originally thought he was simply the member of a species with naturally pale skin, I noticed his lack of facial expressions that pretty much confirmed my thoughts"
"My lack of emotional depth makes it that obvious?"
"Yep. Giving an android true genuine emotions is not an easy task, as it is immensely complicated to give one emotion, while also ensuring that they do not go Skynet on anyone. I can tell that while you currently lack the ability to show emotion, you are developing it. It's only a matter of time before you can show enough emotion to make it hard to tell the difference" The Doctor explained to the Android.
He looked almost happy with the thought of having the ability to show emotion. But, considering he could not really show emotion properly, that showing was...well, lacking as you'd assume.
"Ah, and I forgot to ask, what species are you from if you don't mind me asking?" The Doctor asked as he turned to look at Worf, who didn't seem to be expecting the question, before silently staring for a few moments.
"I am a member of the Klingon species. We are a proud warrior species. That is all that I shall tell you" Worf replied, making the Doctor chuckle.
"That's enough for me, my friend. It's always a pleasure to meet a member of a warrior species" The Doctor said, having met thousands of warrior species over his travels, so Worf was nothing new. But it was interesting to meet one form another multiverse.
'I wonder what other differences his species has from the others?' The Doctor thought.
'This is a lot more enjoyable to listen into than I thought. It's almost like watching an episode of a tv show' Wanda thought, wondering if she should get some popcorn while she listened to their talk. Just seeing them interacting like this was making her sci fi nerd self giggle in glee.
All that needed to be added was Yoda from Star Wars and her sci fi desires would be complete. Oh, and Shephard from Mass Effect, her too.
'That could be a great addition now that I think about it' Wanda thought, realizing that Mass Effect was a perfect universe to connect to. She could slot her door right into Citadel and mess with the council.
The council was a bunch of powerful individuals from the leaders of said council, all of them being members of different races. With the big three being the Asari, the Turian, and the Salarian. They were also awful people, and she despised them when she played the games.
The Asari in particular always came off as holier than thou assholes.
She liked the Quarians the most, as she thought they were a very interesting species. Them and the Geth, who were a curious AI species that the Quarians had accidentally created, and nearly were wiped out by (in self defense).
'Ah, I'll have to decide that later' Wanda thought, focusing back on the conversation happening in front of her.
And as she began to listen to them talk once again, she had only one thought on her mind.
'I really do need to get some popcorn'
