[3rd POV]
With the crew of the Enterprise having left, Wanda was once again left alone in the shop. She was...almost immediately filled with boredom. The crew had been one of the most enjoyable customers she had had in quite some time.
They were also one of the best ones that she would have in general. As she knew that once she got Starfleet itself to be okay with her presence, she could start to place her doors in all sorts of Starfleet places. Like on Earth, other ships, and even on other worlds.
Like she could place one on the capital world of the Klingons if she wanted to. She could build a GIANT network of doors and get more customers than ever before, and more interesting customers than ever before.
Of course, she wouldn't just allow anyone to enter her shop. She would still be banning certain people from entering, and she would still be only allowing specific type of people to even see the door in the first place.
She did not want thousands of people coming into her shop at all times. And was still going to limit it to a few hundred people a day at most. She wasn't interested in having a giant store or anything. That wasn't really the purpose of it anyways, if she was interested in money or something then she'd be more interested in that. But money was obviously useless to a Primordial being like her.
Wanda wondered what other species would be showing up at her store, since she had already decided to add two other doors in Star Trek once the group had left. These doors would not be appearing in Starfleet territory per se, and might appear somewhere else.
She could even get a customer from the Borg. It was completely random what species would be coming her way through those towards. She hoped it was someone interesting though.
She hoped to at least get a customer out of the Romulan species. The species itself was one of the most interesting, and she thought it could be fun to interact with those uptight aliens. They were all a bit arrogant and cold, but that was part of why she liked them.
They'd be very easy to work with. And more importantly, they would have access to knowledge that not even the likes of Starfleet had. As the Romulans were more advanced than Starfleet in a number of areas, and was arguably stronger than her militarily as well.
Making them much more interesting in Wanda's eyes. But that was how it was in a lot of cases. She found alien species far more interesting than most human species. Although there are a handful of human variants that she found to be interesting.
Variants like the Inhumans, like the mutants, metahumans, and stuff like that were obviously on that list. But a majority of Humans in general were boring in her eyes, and not all that interesting. Thankfully she was able to easily bring in the humans that were actually of interest to her, and that was a large majority of the human customers that she did have.
Wanda continued to sit there in boredom for another hour, sipping on her tea as she hummed. She was going over the knowledge that she had gotten from Deanna, and she had to admit that it was pretty interesting.
The Betazoid species was quite unique compared to what she had known up until this point. And she had never met a species that was made up of only telepathic individuals, or those with empathic powers.
She had already decided to write a few books on the species and the oddities about them. As she was sure that there would be a few people that would be interested in learning about them. The chief amongst them was the very same man that walked into her shop a few moments after she had started to read her next book.
The Doctor.
"Ah, Doctor! I was wondering when I'd see you again. Where is Rose?" Wanda asked, staring at the man as he walked in with a smile of his own.
"She's off with her mum. Something about an anniversary of some sort. I didn't intrude on it" The Doctor replied with a shrug, not really sure. Well, he actually did have an idea, but he was not one to impose on others.
"I see. So, what brings you to my shop on this fine...morning" Wanda said, pausing slightly as she connected to his universe, finding that it was early morning where he just came from a few moments ago.
"Was just curious to hear if you've gotten in anything new and interesting. You know how much I love learning about new and odd things" The Doctor responded, as he sat in front of the counter. She usually put out a chair to sit on when she had a customer she actually liked conversing with.
The Doctor was one said customer.
There was also Elijah, Emma, Ainz, Rimuru, Doctor Strange, Lex, and a few others.
"Hmm...well I did recently connect my shop to a new multiverse that does have some incredibly interesting species inside. And it is rather similar to yours in a few aspects" Wanda replied after a few moments of thought.
"Oh? In what ways?" The Timelord asked, as he ordered his usual. Which was a rather delicious tea and muffin. He got them every single time.
"Well they are a "Sci Fi" universe, akin to your own. The main - and most interesting - individuals in that universe are known to travel to unique worlds and save them. There are tens of thousands of unique and completely odd species. Including a few Godlike ones. Ah, there is also time travel, but that only comes a bit later in their lifespan" Wanda answered.
"Now that is interesting. Did you get any books from them?" The Doctor questioned, even more interested.
"Nope. But I did get an exchange of knowledge from one of them. She's a half human that has a mother that belongs to a rather interesting species known as the "Betazoid"" Wanda said.
"Oh? I know of a species that carries a similar name, but it's a giant insectoid species that eats the brains of others, is yours like that?" The Doctor asked.
"...No, but I am very curious to hear more about the Betazoid you know. No, the species known as the Betazoid in this multiverse has the rather interesting inherent ability to telepathy and empathy. Which makes them both incredibly dangerous, and incredibly interesting to interact with" Wanda responded, the mans eyes widening slightly at this.
"Telepathy? Truly? That is interesting! Even I haven't interacted with many species that are like that, and I've been to millions of worlds" The Doctor said, his eyes gleaming with intrigue, very interested in finding out more about the species.
"I'll be writing a few books on them soon. So give me a day or so and you'll have a new book to read. And if the group that had come here agrees that the books that I had sold them was worth while, I'll gain access to their entire species knowledge. So I have no doubt that you'll get even more incredible knowledge from that as well" Wanda explained, the man nodding slowly in understanding.
"Can't you write books in an instant?" The Doctor asked with a raised eyebrow after thinking about it for a few moments.
"Oh I definitely can, but that takes away from the charm of it. I like writing, similar to how I like to run my bookstore, even if I don't truly get anything out of it" Wanda replied with a small smile on her face, understanding where the question was coming from.
"That's fair. Well, I guess I'll come back tomorrow to pick up the books. Oh, and can you tell me when that lot returns? I'd love to meet fellow travelers of the stars" The Doctor asked, as he got to his feet, the muffin still in his hand, and his tea refilled as he paid for another one to go.
"Sure. I'll send a note out to you when they come back. Which I'm sure will be within the next week or so" Wanda replied, as the man smiled, pleased, before bidding her farewell, and walking off.
Watching him leave, Wanda smiled, one thought on her mind as she glanced at the time.
'...I wonder if Raven would be up for some fun tonight?'
