[3rd POV]
Watching as the group began to explore her shop, Wanda couldn't help but hum in amusement. She could see them trying their best not to look over at her as she continued to sit there, relaxing behind her counter. But they were miserably failing at hiding it from someone of her scale of power.
She had a feeling they knew that though, or at least Deanna did. As she began to not even bother hiding the fact that she was glancing over at her, as if she wanted Wanda to know that she was observing her every movement.
Which only served to make Wanda even more amused, finding their entire reactions to be funny. They seemed to think that she was going to try something against them, or that she had some sort of ulterior motive or something of the sort. But they should know by now that if Wanda truly wanted to do something to them, there was simply nothing that they could do about it, no matter how hard they tried.
Even if they were to get Q to help them, it would not make a difference. The Q Continuum was strong, very strong, but it was not on the same scale of power as her, not anymore. At one time it was, back before she had obtained divinity, back before she became a God or Primordial. But now that she embodied concepts, they were nothing more than slightly stronger ants in her eyes.
There were very few entities out there that could compare to her now. And with every multiverse she connected to, and every universe she connected to, her power would grow even further, until eventually she'll surpass all other beings, except for the one true Omnipotent God.
A God that she was still hoping to meet at least once, just to see why they had chosen her, and what the point of choosing her was. Afterall, there had to be some sort of reason, no matter how small it may end up being.
Silently she continued to watch the crew, listening as La Forge and Data were speaking to one another in the section that housed most of her books on warp drives and lightspeed travel.
______
"...Incredible" La Forge whispered, reading over the book in front of him. Data was at his side, also reading the same page of the book, equally as surprised.
"A new form of travel. Using something called a "Lightspeed Drive". Incredible...not to mention revolutionary" Data said, agreeing that it was incredible. The book could revolutionize the way that they travel through space, not only that, but it could make their travel speeds many times faster than what it was now.
It could completely change the way that Starfleet works, and the travel speeds. It could strengthen Starfleet as a whole by many times over, and allow them to save more people faster than ever before. And more interestingly, it could help them travel further than ever before, entering spaces of the galaxy that they had never even thought of traveling to before.
And the book in front of them had a part of the key to that. But they also realized that some of the mathematics and information inside was...unknown to them. It was beyond certain parts of their academic knowledge, meaning that there were likely prerequisite books that needed to be read before they could fully understand the one in front of them.
"We need to find the books that come before this. Without them we have no hopes of understanding what this book explains" La Forge said, as he took the book with him, while beginning to search other areas to find the ones needed.
Data joined him, while also looking over a few other books of note. Mainly mathematics ones that could also be incredibly helpful.
______
At the same time, Picard was in the area of the store that sold books on medicine, medication, potions, elixirs, and cures for various virus's and diseases. Including ones like HIV, the Flu, the Black Death, Ebola, Cancer, and dozens of others. These were only sold to specific types of customers, and Picard and his crew was one of the types.
He found that many of the cures that were sold was a bit useless to them, as they had long since cured the simple ones. But there was some bigger books that had elixirs for diseases he had never even heard of, using materials inside of the elixirs that he had never heard of.
He was pretty certain that Beverly would want the book, as it had a lot of medications and methods for treating diseases, including a few that even they had not cured yet. That, and he believed that some of them would be useful in the development of other cures.
But the book that really caught his eye was the book on treatment methods, surgery, and areas similar. This was the area that housed dozens of methods of treatment that he had never heard of, and he was certain would be revolutionary in the space.
So, he decided to grab several of them. That way Beverly would be able to see whether or not Wanda actually sells books of not, and if they are useful, then they could come back and buy every single one of them.
It could save untold amounts of lives, should they all be truthful and genuinely useful like he was hoping.
______
Worf and Tasha were in the martial arts section, absorbed as they read through the books on martial arts. Some of them were incredibly old looking, and some of them were immensely advanced. They were both masters of a number of martial arts, but some of the books were on forms of martial arts that they could not even begin to comprehend.
There were also books on war strategy, swordsmanship, weapon development, and other areas that could be useful for areas involving security, which they were both in charge of when it came to the Enterprise.
"Incredible. These martial arts are unlike anything I have ever seen" Tasha said, reading a book from DC that had been sold to Wanda by Ra's. The book detailed methods of killing someone just from a single poke to the right spot, detailing weak points and pressure spots across the body.
"Indeed. It would be incredibly advantageous if we purchase these books. For security reasons, of course" Worf responded, nodding in agreement as Tasha looked at him before smirking and grabbing a few of the books that she had found interesting.
They would have a lot of training coming up.
________
Finally Riker and Deanna were actually in the fiction section, the two of them looking over comics and other books that caught their attention.
"These books are somewhat similar to what we have, aren't they? I swear I've heard of Harry Potter. And I know for a fact that Lord of the Rings was monumentally popular in the 21st century" Riker said, grabbing the Lord of the Rings book.
"Hmm, I think so. But Wanda said that this place is connected to other multiverses, other universes. So perhaps it has been connected to other Earths? Alternate worlds that went down a different path than the one that we walk?" Deanna replied, looking over the book on Percy Jackson.
The more she looked through the books, the more interested she had become.
"Well, either way, I think we should at least buy some of these comics. For study, of course" Riker said, failing to hide his interest in the comic series of "Spawn". He had never really read a comic before, not any of the older ones at least. The modern ones were...not particularly the best, to be completely honest. But the older stuff from the 21st century?
It was some of the best in history. Back when art and fiction was at one of its greatest peaks in human history. There was higher peaks, of course, but it was one of the greatest.
"Hmm, I'm sure that the children on the Enterprise will like some of these "Manga"" Deanna said, grabbing a volume of My Hero Academia, and a volume of one of the greatest manga ever created.
One Piece.
And in their timeline it had never existed, shockingly enough. So anyone who read it was going to be exposed to greatness that they have never seen before.
_______
With all of their books chosen around 30 minutes later, the group all funneled towards the counter, having around 50 books on them in total. And were already thinking of coming back for more the next day.
And as they walked over, Picard had one thought on his mind.
'Let us see just how expensive these books will be'
