[3rd POV]
Milim was having the time of her life right now. The bald hero was a great sparring partner, even better than Goku, which she had not thought was possible. The man was rapidly growing in power, every strike that he threw at her hitting harder and harder. He was moving faster every minute, becoming increasingly difficult to properly dodge and react to.
And that was amazing. To have a proper foe that could push her to her limits, to have a sparring partner that could grow with her, evolve with her, adapt with her. His power sky rocketing every second as his punch landed against her own, his face warped into the brightest grin he had shown in years.
For Saitama was enjoying his life thoroughly as well. This girl, the daughter of the owner of the mysterious bookstore, was giving him the first fight he had ever had in his life. The first proper battle since he had been turned into the man he was today.
The One Punch Man.
But he could also tell that something was happening, that something within him as changing during the fight. That he was...growing. Stronger, and rapidly at that. He was adapting to the fight, advancing further, making it harder and harder for her to fight back.
Making it harder and harder for her to contend against him, as he was growing stronger. But the best part about it was that Milim was enjoying every moment of it. Of the fact that he was growing more powerful than her while they were in the middle of fighting.
Wanda watched it all with a small smile on her face, happy to see that her daughter was enjoying the battle so much. That they were both enjoying this sparring match this much. But she also noticed that Milim was beginning to struggle, not able to handle Saitama as he grew stronger and stronger by the moment.
And while she noticed that Milim was also growing stronger, it was not happening as fast as Saitama was, not even remotely. He was growing so fast that Milim was being overwhelmed within not even 10 minutes of the start of the battle.
Wanda realized that this would need to end soon, as it would become too much for her daughter to handle, and would soon be overwhelmed by the sheer power difference. The sheer difference in growth far overwhelming her. Even with her ultimate skill, which was very impressive all things considered.
As Wanda watched Saitama cock his fist back to hit the slightly battered Milim, Wanda decided that that was enough now. The fight was evidently too much, and Milim would not be able to block this blow that was incoming.
So, she teleported in front of the man as he launched the strike towards her daughter. Her hand raising as she effortlessly blocked it with a single pointer finger, before speaking to the man who stared at her.
"Alright Saitama, I think that that is enough. My daughter can't fight any longer, if you cannot tell already. And I do not think you want to harm her truly, do you? I doubt you want to lose your first proper sparring partner...ever" Wanda said, as she stopped the man's fist as he looked at her finger, slightly shocked by the casual way she did this.
She stopped him like it was nothing, making him realize that she was vastly more powerful than even Milim. The difference in strength between the two was like comparing a small dirt pile to that of a mountain the size of Jupiter.
Basically, there was no comparison.
"...Alright I guess. Thanks for the spar, Milim" Saitama said, pulling his fist back as he glanced over to the girl who was rapidly healing thanks to Wanda helping her. The man's own wounds and scratches also disappear underneath her power.
There was no reason to keep the two of them injured for something like this.
"No problem! You were a great sparring partner, Old man! We definitely have to do this again" Milim replied with a bright grin on her face, the man grumbling slightly at being called an old man.
"I am not old..." Saitama whispered to himself with a low grumble escaping him.
"Yes you are" Milim responded blandly, as she looked to her mama as she handed her a bottle of juice, handing Saitama one too as the man sipped on it. His eyes widened slightly in surprise at the taste of the juice, before drinking more of it.
It was easily the best juice he had ever had before. He wondered just how many skills that Wanda had, or if she was just good at literally everything under the son. He'd have to think about buying some to bring home later.
"Now, let's get back downstairs" Wanda said, deciding it was time to return back to the shop. She had momentarily closed it in order to watch the spar and make sure it had not gone too far. But now it was time to go back and open it back up, as it was still one of her normal days, and she most likely had customers from other universes that wanted to come in.
And she didn't want to lose that potential business, as well as the potential books that might be lost from having her shop momentarily closed for too long.
Beginning to make their way downstairs, Milim couldn't help but begin speaking.
"So, baldy, are you going to come back again for more sparring in the future?" Milim asked, inwardly hoping he would say yes. She really wanted to spar with the bald man again in the future, and hopefully by that time, she would be much stronger than right now, so that she can give him a proper fight again like she had in the beginning of the spar, before he had rapidly grown and surpassed her.
"Definitely. You are the only person I have ever met to take one of my punches" Saitama responded with an affirmative nod, with there being no way in hell he was not going to come back to spar with her again. It would be a waste of time if he didn't.
"Awesome! You should come back in like a month or something, that way I'll be stronger than you again, so we can have a good spar again! Cause right now I don't think I can give you much of a fight because of that stupidly strong ability of yours" Milim responded, the man nodding in agreement.
"Alright. I'll come back in a month so we can fight again" Saitama said, glancing at Wanda. He was half tempted to ask if he can spar with her too, but he was pretty confident that it wouldn't really be a spar, and would be more of a slaughter.
The fight wouldn't be fair to him, and would therefore not be fun or enjoyable. And that was the whole reason why he wanted to spar with her in the first place, so that it would be fun and enjoyable. So that he can enjoy fighting again, something he had been lacking all this time.
"Maybe next time you can bring that protege of yours, Genos. I'm sure he can bring me some interesting books to read" Wanda suggested, the man glancing at her, not even surprised that she knew about him anymore. He was pretty confident that this woman knew literally anything and everything about him. Which just made the man more certain that a fight against her was utterly pointless, and would never happen.
At least not for a long long time.
"I'll make sure to ask him next time" Saitama said with a nod, understanding that she wanted to meet his cyborg protege. He was an...interesting man, and he imagined Genos would freak out upon seeing this place and how utterly ridiculous it is.
"Alright, is there anything else you need, or did you just want that spar?" Wanda asked, staring at the man as she moved back behind her counter.
"Hmm, can I get a couple muffins, as well as that juice you made, but to bring home?" Saitama asked, as Wanda nodded, giving Milim a look as her daughter moved to grab two muffins and a larger container with the juice inside, placing it onto the counter.
This time the total price came out to 1,800 yen, as the man paid for it without trouble.
After paying to it, he gave her a wave goodbye, while also promising to return in a month in order to spar with Milim once again.
As she watched him leave, Wanda smiled, one thought on her mind.
'...What an interesting man'
