Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: Ruby’s Confusion

[3rd POV]

"How about you come and sit and we can chat about what's in that book, hmm?" Wanda offered, as Ruby shook out of her hopeful expression and nodded as the two of them moved to sit down at one of the tables in the shop. At the same time, the rest of team RWBY dragged over chairs and sat down next to Ruby.

"The-The book, it talked about my eyes. About what the silver eyes can do. About what I can do. W-Where did it come from? And can I really learn how to use them like the book said?" Ruby asked, looking at Wanda while the others just continued to look confused.

"You can use your eyes in all sorts of ways, Ruby. As for where the eyes came from, I wasn't lying within the book when I stated that it was gifted to a human long ago by the God of Light. It is inherited through blood, with that first human being an ancestor of yours. Sometimes the eyes do not develop, and sometimes they do, it matters entirely on the person" Wanda explained, as Ruby breathed out.

"S-So my Mom"

"Had the eyes? Yes. She had even trained in the usage of them underneath another silver eyes user" Wanda responded with a smile, as Yang frowned.

"How do you even know about Mom? We've never met you before, and I'd know if you were a family friend or something" Yang questioned with furrowed eyebrows, causing Wanda to smile.

"I've never met your family, Yang. But I know a lot of things about the greater world, including your pasts and your histories. And that includes the past and histories of other individuals in Remnant, like Ozpin, and both of your mothers" Wanda responded to Yang, who looked at her wide eyed, realizing she knew about Raven Branwen, aka her mother.

"Who are you!?" Yang asked her eyes glowing as she tensed, preparing to attack Wanda who smiled and made a small motion with her hand, Yang's aura and semblance instantly being extinguished as the teen gasped at the weak sensation traveling through her.

"What did you just do?" Weiss asked, also preparing to fight Wanda who sighed.

"I just cut off her aura and semblance, that is all. I do not allow any sort of fighting in my store, regardless of who you are. I do warn you that if you do that again, you will be kicked out of my store" Wanda said, giving Yang a look of warning.

"Y-You're not a normal human, are you?" Blake asked, as Wanda glanced at her before giggling.

"No child, no I am not. In terms of human standards, I believe I would rank higher than the very God that had brought the silver eyes into form, and the God who had created the Grimm thousands of years ago" Wanda responded with a hum, not really sure how strong they were.

She estimated the twin gods to be around planet class in terms of power, so not all that impressive to her. Milim could slaughter them both, and Naruto too once he got his skills from Tensura. Hell, even Raven could probably give them a good fight at this point.

The group of four looked at her with wide eyes, paling slightly as they realized they were standing in front of someone far stronger than they could even comprehend.

"Y-You're lying" Weiss stuttered, fear filling her being as she took a singular step back, trying not to show how scared she was at the moment. At the fact that she might be standing in front of a literal God.

In response to the girls words, Wanda smiled "I have no reason to lie to you, Weiss. It is pointless for someone like me. And I am above lying to children" Wanda responded, before turning back to Ruby.

"Wh-why are you telling us this? Why give me this book? Why help me at all?" Ruby questioned, which Wanda hummed at.

"Simple, I think you deserve it, and I don't really like that manipulative old coot and his ex. That, and you are one of my favorite customers, and are the perfect cookie taste tester" Wanda responded with a shrug.

"How do we know you aren't just manipulating us? That you aren't just lying to get something out of my sis?" Yang asked with a frown.

"Yang, I am a God. Anything that I could possibly want from your sister, I could just make" Wanda responded bluntly, as she lifted her hand and effortlessly created all sorts of dust that formed above her hands, only for it to warp and change into priceless diamonds, then weapons of mass destruction, and even a miniature universe.

And they were all completely real and actual functioning objects. With the universe dying in her hands, time moving billions of times faster in the universe, than in her dimension.

Watching it all, they all kept silent, not even sure what to say to what they were seeing. None of them were sure how to react to the fact that an entity was standing in front of them, one that could kill them with a twitch of her finger.

"Hmm...since you don't believe that I am doing this out of the kindness of my heart, how about I give you another gift that will make you believe me?" Wanda asked, as Ruby looked at her confused.

In response, Wanda just smiled and spread her senses throughout the world of Remnant, finding her target quite quickly. Finding her, Wanda snapped her finger as far off in a dark land, a tortured and horrifically wounded woman was teleported away and healed of all injuries.

At the same time, she reappeared in front of a small house, unconscious just waiting to be found by the man living inside.

"There. You'll be receiving a call later on regarding the gift. But for now, I can tell you that the book will aid you extensively in the training of your eyes" Wanda said, while Ruby looked down at it.

"And the stories about the Queen of Grimm and Ozma? Those are both real?"

"Mmhmm, they are real. You'll learn more about them later on into your training, but for now, I'd suggest you learn those training methods within that book, as you'll need it for the future" Wanda suggested, as Salem would be taking action soon.

"How are we supposed to fight against someone who is immortal?" Ruby asked with furrowed eyebrows. Knowing that within the book it explained a bit about Salem, and that she was effectively unkillable except to the Gods themselves.

"Hmmm. How about once you master those eyes to a level I deem fit, I'll give you a gift that will give you the means to defeat her" Wanda offered. Ruby looked at her, surprised.

"Wait, why me? I'm only just starting in Beacon! I'm not ready for something like that" Ruby exclaimed, her teammates all voicing their agreements with her words, not believing that they had a chance against this Queen of Grimm, even if they had no idea who they were talking about.

"Because you have silver eyes, Ruby. All the wielder of those eyes are destined for something important, and you are destined for more than any other silver eyes wielder throughout history" Wanda answered, knowing that this girl would be the one to end the reign of Salem, and finally bring her feud with Ozpin to an end.

"...I-I just don't understand" Ruby whispered, looking down at the book in her hands.

"You will, child. Now, off you go, I believe there is a very special someone that you should be seeing soon. Oh, and I do hope you like the gift" Wanda said with a smile, as the girl looked at her in confusion, before walking off with her team, wondering what Wanda was talking about.

Unknowing to the fact that her father, far off at their home in Patch, was holding a sobbing woman, who looked like an older version of her. A gift from Wanda in the form of...her mother, Summer Rose.

"Is she really destined for such a thing?" A voice echoed, as Wanda glanced to the side, seeing Ivy walk out of a corner.

"She is. She'll become the hero of that world, alongside her friends" Wanda responded, causing Ivy to hum.

"...Seems even in other universes, heroes are born way too young" Ivy said with a sigh before walking off to take care of more of her plants, leaving Wanda alone who had a mysterious smile on her face.

'Heroes huh...' Wanda thought, as she gazed at her door and began to walk towards it, her hand gripping the doorknob as the door glowed brilliantly, one thought on Wanda's mind as she walked away moments later.

'I think it's time...I expand a bit'

As she walked away, the sign above the door that kept track of the universe the door was currently connected to glowed, and had only three simple numbers glowing brilliantly upon it, and those numbers were...
