Chapter 175 - Chapter 175: Spoils of War

Blood trickled along the ground, slowly seeping into the earth. Uchiha Yu casually commanded several Sky Ninja to carry away the corpse of their leader.

Just as he was about to issue further orders, a prompt suddenly appeared in his mind:

> [Side Quest]: Rebuild the Ninja Village.

[Objective]: Restore Konohagakure's infrastructure to about 70% of what it was before the war.

[Reward]: Mask ×1

Uchiha Yu fell silent.

After every major battle, a new task appeared—always with vague requirements and cryptic rewards.

From the look of the quest, he figured that once he returned to Konoha, it would complete automatically. The Iwa forces were efficient; their reconstruction speed could be trusted.

"Let's head back." Uchiha Yu turned to Orochimaru. "Have Kurenai lead the Tsuchigumo clan and the Uzumaki clan to Konoha."

"Mm. Before we came, I already arranged to have that message sent," Orochimaru replied with a sly smile. "Uchiha Yu-kun, what about those steel warships outside—what do you plan to do with them?"

Yu walked toward the entrance of the energy chamber, considering the question carefully.

Those submarines and aircraft carriers couldn't be transported as easily as the flying fortress.

They looked impressive, but in terms of practicality, they couldn't compare to airborne vessels.

In the original story, Shino had easily destroyed them with his parasitic insects—an act that served as one of his few notable victories.

When all was said and done, the greatest spoils of this Sky Ninja Village expedition were the Royal Fortress and its anti-gravity technology.

From now on, the new ninja village would truly stand above the skies.

It was no longer just a dream.

"Place it near the eastern coast of the Land of Fire," Yu said thoughtfully. "Once the village is rebuilt, we'll begin annexing the entire nation."

The Land of Fire was already in chaos—Konoha exiled, the daimyo's mansion stripped of authority.

Bringing the Land of Fire under ninja control was only a matter of time.

As Orochimaru pictured the future—Uchiha Yu ruling the Five Great Nations, standing supreme over the shinobi world—he couldn't help but let out a cold, delighted smile. When that day came, he would be right there, watching from Yu's side as the new era dawned.

"Come back to the village with me for now," Yu said. "There's something I'll need your help with."

The two of them passed through the underground corridor and emerged into the open air. The sky was still a clear blue, and a warm equatorial breeze carried the scent of the sea.

"Do you need me to resurrect the Fourth Hokage with Edo Tensei?" Orochimaru asked.

At that, Hashirama spoke curiously from within the sealed space, "The Fourth Hokage… wasn't he the one who was killed by the Nine-Tails?"

"The Fourth…" Tobirama also seemed intrigued.

Yu replied to Orochimaru, "No. There are others I want you to summon first."

As he gave his instructions, Orochimaru's grin turned even more sinister.

"Leave it to me, Uchiha Yu-kun," he hissed. "As for the sacrifices…"

He paused, testing the waters. "Is there anyone you'd rather I not use?"

"Just use the ones I've already taken control of," Yu said coolly.

Those released from the Sword of Totsuka were as good as dead anyway.

"In that case, no problem at all."

Orochimaru's tongue flicked out to lick his lips.

Yu moved to the edge of the Royal Fortress and used Yasaka's Magatama to issue commands to all remaining Sky Ninja, directing them to work in perfect coordination.

With the Zero-Tails serving as the fortress's core power source, there was no concern about energy depletion during its migration.

Yu ordered them to steer the Royal Fortress toward Konoha.

As for the submarines and carriers on the ocean, they would first sail to the waters near the Land of Waves, where Yu would later dispatch trusted subordinates to oversee them.

He gazed out over the horizon, the vast landscape beneath the fortress—mountains, fields, rivers—all soon to be his domain.

Feeling a rare calm, Yu spoke into the sealed space, "Yes, that Hokage who died fighting the Nine-Tails."

Hashirama pressed, "I once heard from Hiruzen Sarutobi that the one who released the Nine-Tails that night… was it really an Uchiha?"

That question had always been the great mystery of the Nine-Tails' Night—the spark that first sowed suspicion toward the Uchiha clan.

Naturally, both brothers were eager to know. But Tobirama doubted Yu would have any clear answer.

Yu, however, said flatly, "It was an Uchiha—but not one from the Uchiha clan."

Tobirama's brows furrowed instantly.

Hashirama's expression turned to shock.

"What do you mean?"

Tobirama's mind churned. An Uchiha… but no longer of the clan?

He said gravely, "Madara!!"

Hashirama's pupils constricted sharply.

"Let's just say it was Madara," Yu said with a cold smile. "Want to know the truth? Want to know if Madara is still alive? If you do… then make a deal with me."

Tobirama ground his teeth. "Why do you want the Fourth Hokage resurrected?"

To be honest, even Tobirama was beginning to waver.

This wicked little Uchiha seemed to know far too many of the shinobi world's secrets.

Both he and Hashirama were deeply invested in one question — whether Madara Uchiha was truly dead.

Uchiha Yu replied calmly, "Before the Fourth Hokage died, he sealed the Nine-Tails — half inside his child, and the other half within himself."

"So, you're planning to resurrect him with Edo Tensei… to take the half of the Nine-Tails sealed in his body?"

Tobirama questioned sharply.

"Mm." Yu answered truthfully.

"…" Tobirama's expression grew grim.

"You intend to capture all the Tailed Beasts," Hashirama said slowly, "and use them to rule over the shinobi world?"

His focus was still on Madara, but he knew Yu wouldn't say anything unless it benefited him.

"Something like that," Yu replied indifferently, ending the conversation. He had plenty more to handle.

Whoosh—

As the Royal Fortress shifted beneath his feet, Yu's field of vision began to move as well.

The massive structure turned in the air, and from the colossal magnetic spire at its rear came an immense propulsion burst, scattering light particles across the sky.

In the next instant, the fortress accelerated sharply, speeding toward Konoha.

Yu estimated its velocity — slower than a fully manifested Susanoo's flight, but faster than Garaga's crawling pace.

Whoever designed and built this fortress had been quite the genius.

Meanwhile, the submarines and aircraft carriers on the ocean slowly submerged, disappearing beneath the waves. The sea grew calm again, and peace returned to the area.

At that moment, the villagers who had fled earlier were quietly returning, families in tow.

They stood at the village entrance and stared in shock — the fortress's departure had left a vast crater in the earth, which had since filled with water, forming a new inland lake.

"Village Chief, what do we do now?" one villager asked in a daze, turning to an old man surrounded by others.

The elder sighed heavily. "We migrate."

"Migrate? To where?"

"To Konoha," the old man said with another sigh. "We'll go to Konoha."

"Did anyone see which way our village flew off to?" another villager asked curiously.

Everyone shook their heads.

And so, carrying their children and what little they had left, the villagers began their long journey toward the Leaf Village.

They had been living peacefully, when suddenly a massive serpent appeared outside the village. Thankfully, the village chief had been wise enough to lead everyone out before chaos erupted.

After that, two groups of complete strangers had clashed in a cataclysmic battle.

Then, just as suddenly as it began, the fight ended — and their village… had flown away.

To the villagers, the whole thing was simply too surreal, too fantastical to believe.

Evening.

Land of Fire.

That afternoon, countless people had seen an enormous mass soaring through the sky — a floating landmass covered in pale stone buildings, majestic and awe-inspiring.

Some said it was the kingdom of the gods.

Many fell to their knees in reverence.
