You know… I am glad to make the Blaster Pistol Machine now. While it is not as powerful as other weapons from other franchises like Star Trek and Xenoblade. Hell, some of the ballistic weaponry from modern Earth is more powerful than blaster pistols.
However, it is easy to use and easy to maintain. It is not as easy as Lusgun from the Warhammer 40k universe, but it is easy to maintain. The energy pack is also easy to recharge and can fire a lot of beams. It can fire 70 times before the pack needs to recharge.
They are not powerful, and the range is short. However, when there are 120 of them, they can pack a punch.
Anyway, I managed to make 120 of them, and it is time for me to deliver them. It is a hassle that we need to go to the [Marketplace] to know the price, but I don't really mind.
"Alice, do you want to come with me to the [Marketplace]?"
My father does not look away from the computer, shaking her head and says.
"No, Father. I need to complete all the paperwork for the launch of our Omni-Tool."
Oh, yeah. Today will be the first launch of the Omni-Tool, huh? Alice is the one taking care of all of it and even sends one of the Puppet Androids as a spokesperson to the public while she prevents anyone from interfering with the launch.
There were already many cyberattacks trying to breach our system when the first announcement about the Omni-Tool first appeared on the internet. Sadly for them, Alice is the Queen of Cyberspace and the Virtual World.
After I upgraded four days ago, she is even more powerful.
"Okay. Make sure to dig into the people who try to sabotage our company, okay? We will destroy them financially and socially."
"Of course, father."
I nod and, with a wave of my hand, a portal opens up to the [Marketplace]. I see familiar sights, walk to the Waifu Catalog vendor, and see Julia behind the counter.
"My lord, welcome back. Do you return with the Blaster, my lord?"
"Yes."
With a wave of my hand, I remove all the blasters from my inventory and put them on the table. Julia takes one of them, and a screen appears in front of us.
|Market Price: 1]
I look at the price in disbelief and say.
"There is no way it is only worth 1 point."
"I know the reason why, lord. It is also the reason why we order blaster pistols instead of stronger weapons."
I look at her and make an expression that tells her to continue.
"Supply and demand, my lord."
"Ah, I understand."
There is too little demand and there is a lot of supply in this [Marketplace]. Well, I understand. It is a standard blaster pistol, after all. However, there is one thing I am curious about.
"And tell me the reason why you decided to order these from me instead of the other vendor."
"Market Points. We want to order from you because we can pay you through our Company Points instead of the Market Points, my lord. Of course, we will still pay you with Market Points if you want."
"Nah. Company points are enough for me."
"Of course."
The goods disappeared with a wave of her hand, and I could feel the company phone vibrate in my pocket. I nod in satisfaction and say.
"Do you require me to make something, Julia?"
"The higher-ups want to know if you can make a monthly delivery to us? These blasters are more powerful, efficient, easy to maintain, and durable than regular blasters."
"Of course. I upgraded their blueprint to make sure even an idiot knows how to take care of these bad boys."
"We thank you for that. The new recruits are not as inept as the previous batch, but we don't want them to destroy their equipment. Anyway, can you deliver more of them? Monthly delivery will do."
"How much? It depends, I guess."
The current machine can produce hundreds of them in a month, but if it reaches thousands, I need to make a new machine. At least, I can duplicate the machine using my [Replicator] power.
"Depending on your price, my lord. The higher-ups want to know if you are willing to give us a discount if we buy them in bulk and regularly."
"If you order at least a thousand of them, I am willing to cut the price to a tenth of the original price."
That means it will at least give me 100 points each time. I am not a greedy person. Those kinds of points will give me a good boost in power and make me ready to explore the void.
I watch Julia stay silent for a few seconds before nodding her head.
"We accept the offer. We are installing a new app on your phone. Each time you want to deliver the weapons, you can use the app to do it."
"Perfect! I will start the production then."
"We thank you, my lord. Is there anything else we can do for you?"
I think for a few seconds before an idea appears in my head.
"Can you gather a Kyber Crystal for me? I am willing to pay the market price, or I can buy in bulk if you give me a discount."
"We might be able to do it. Some of our agents are already infiltrating the Jedi Temple and learning under one of the masters. Give us a month of your time to see if we can secure those resources. While waiting, may I offer you something else?"
I take a piece of paper, write down the things I need, and give the paper to her. She reads through the paper and says.
"Hyperdrive?"
"Yes. That is the material I need to make a hyperdrive. Sadly, some of them require exotic elements to fuel the engine. I want to see if I can switch the engine with my own design, but I require a fully functioning drive first. That means I need to create a hyperdrive engine."
"When you have the finished product, may we purchase that?"
"Not the spaceship?"
"Too expensive. We also don't have enough personnel to crew a spaceship."
"Really? You guys don't have enough crew? Just how much is destroyed for you guys to not have enough crew?"
"99% of our agents are gone. They either get killed or revolt because of the treatment by the management. Higher-ups are also forbidden from being directly involved in the company. There are exceptions, but it is a chain that forbids them to do much."
I read some fanfic about the company's managers being assholes who only think of profit. Is that true? It must be due to how much her face changed at the mention of the revolt.
"I see. Then I will notify you guys when I am done with my experiment. Anyway, there is nothing I can think of at the moment. Ah! There is one. If you guys somehow manage to enter the 40k Universe, send some of their tech to me, okay? I want to reverse engineer their techs."
"That might be possible."
"Wait, really?"
"40k Universe is infamous, you know? All of the beings that destroy our company ignore that part of the universe. That universe is a cancer. Even when you manage to destroy all 4 Chaos Gods, you will still have something that can cause war at the Star System scale at the least. Peace will always be short in that part of the universe. Just like cancer, it is hard to make sure that the universe is healthy."
"I see. Well, as long as you manage to get them, I am willing to buy them at market price."
"We will try to get them."
I nod in satisfaction and leave the [Marketplace] just in time to see Alice's puppet start its speech. I smile a little at the shock and awe of the people watching her, and I know that our product will spread across remnants faster than any company.
The first phase of the Uplifting plan is working. Now, I need to prepare to put a satellite into space and make it into a planetary communication network. I think it requires four of them… No… Let's do six just to be safe.
Let's start now.
