Chapter 567: Victory Road (Sinnoh Ver.)
~Third POV~
[Sinnoh Region, Next Day, Route 223]
The crisp Sinnoh air, still carrying the faint scent of pine and distant sea salt, whipped past Azure's face as Togekiss soared with serene majesty. Below, the undulating coastal path of Route 223 blurred into a ribbon of green and blue, gradually giving way to the rugged, towering peaks that cradled the Sinnoh Pokémon League.
Azure felt a familiar thrill pulse in his veins – the quiet hum of anticipation that always preceded a true challenge. Perched comfortably on Togekiss's back, Azure glanced at his companions. Pikachu, ever vigilant, rode on his shoulder, ears twitching slightly in the wind. Eevee, a fluffy, inquisitive cap, nestled on his head, occasionally letting out soft chirps. Tucked securely inside his jacket, Pichu (Mew) offered a tiny, almost imperceptible wiggle.
Rotom, crackling presence, buzzed intermittently within the sleek Arc Phone held in Azure's hand, its screen occasionally flashing with data. And Gengar, a silent, mischievous shadow, danced just behind him, a constant, comforting presence.
Azure murmured, stroking the soft feathers of his loyal Pokémon's neck, "Almost there, Togekiss. Just hang on a bit more."
Togekiss responded with a joyful coo, dipping a wing playfully before leveling out, the distant, imposing silhouette of the Pokémon League emerging more clearly on the horizon, "Cooo! (Okay, Dad!)"
The last few weeks had been a whirlwind of relentless training. Azure had pushed his main six – Rotom, Infernape, Gallade, Kleavor, Togekiss, and Lucario – to their absolute limits, drawing on the collective wisdom gleaned from his past champion teams.
He'd envisioned this Sinnoh challenge as the ultimate test of their combined might and individual growth. He thought back to the Kanto team, the foundation of his journey: Arcanine's fiery loyalty, Scizor's precision, Dragonite's raw power. Pikachu, Eevee, and Gengar had been with him since those formative days, their bond forged in the fires of countless battles.
Then came Johto, a region that taught him the value of strategy and unexpected utility. Skarmory's defensive prowess, Tyranitar's crushing might, Ampharos's luminous support, Quagsire's stoic adaptability, Houndoom's blistering speed, and Mismagius's enigmatic tricks – each a masterclass.
And Hoenn, a region of vast landscapes and even vaster power. Milotic's grace, Sceptile's lightning-fast strikes, Gardevoir's psychic artistry, the incredible raw power of Alpha Slaking, Salamence's aerial dominance, and Metagross's unyielding intellect. From these titans, Azure had woven a tapestry of combat knowledge, a library of battle strategies for his current team to learn from.
But now, it was about them. About his Sinnoh Six.
Azure asked, a wide grin spreading across his face, "Ready for Victory Road, guys?"
Pikachu responded with an excited cry, electricity sparking playfully around its cheeks. Eevee let out a high-pitched noise, nuzzling into his hair. Even Pichu (Mew) offered a tiny squeak from his jacket pocket.
Gengar's voice, a low, raspy whisper, echoed from his shadow, "Don't even need to ask, boss. Victory's our middle name."
Rotom buzzed in agreement, the Arc Phone momentarily illuminating with a vibrant green glow showing the map, "Affirmative. Optimized path to Pokémon League calculated and displayed now shown."
Azure smirked, seeing this. He viewed the Status Screen of his Pokémon, amazed by the jump in levels.

Azure smiled proudly as he thought, 'Elite Four and Cynthia won't know what hit them against this team.'
/////
[Sinnoh Region, Victory Road]
The scene shifted dramatically as Togekiss descended, its wings creating gentle gusts of wind as it landed gracefully at the front entrance of Victory Road. It wasn't merely a cave entrance; a small, sturdy Pokémon Center stood sentinel, its red roof a stark contrast against the dark, foreboding maw of the cave behind it.
Two Ace Trainers, their uniforms impeccable and their stances alert, stood guard at the main path. One, a burly man with a Machamp-like physique, scanned Azure with a professional eye. The other, a sharp-eyed woman with a sleek ponytail, held a clipboard, eyeing him warily. The male trainer boomed, his voice resonating with authority, "Halt! Entry to Victory Road is restricted. Only trainers who have earned the right may pass."
*Thump*
Azure dismounted Togekiss, who folded its wings elegantly, landing with a soft thump. He said knowingly, reaching into his satchel, " Understood."
He produced a leather-bound case, carefully opening it to reveal eight gleaming Gym Badges – the harmonious Symphony Badge, the coal-like Coal Badge, the emerald Forest Badge, the nicely made Cobble Badge, the sturdy Fen Badge, the shimmering Relic Badge, the white Mine Badge, the Icicle Badge, and the Beacon Badge. Each one a testament to his journey through Sinnoh.
He then presented an email message from Cynthia about his Battle Pass Endorsement. He added, "And this is my Battle Pass from Champion Cynthia. For assistance in halting Team Galactic's operations."
The female Ace Trainer's eyes widened slightly as she recognized the official seal. She took the pass, examining it closely before handing it back with a respectful nod, answering, "The Champion's personal endorsement. Impressive. And the badges speak for themselves. You may pass, Trainer..."
She trailed off, looking at the pass again, reading his name on the Badge Case, "Azure Sky. Good luck on Victory Road."
Azure replied, a confident smile playing on his lips, "Thank you."
He patted Togekiss, then recalled it to its Poké Ball. He gestured towards the cave entrance, stating, "Let's go, everyone."
With a final nod from the Ace Trainers, Azure, Pikachu, Eevee, and Pichu (Mew) on his person, and Rotom buzzing within the Arc Phone, Gengar, a subtle shadow, stepped across the threshold, entering the cavernous maw of Victory Road. The air grew immediately cooler, rich with the scent of damp earth and ancient rock.
/////
[Sinnoh Region, Victory Road – Interior]
Entering the cave, the sheer scale of Victory Road was immediately apparent. It wasn't just a tunnel; it was a labyrinthine network of interconnected caverns, glowing crystals, underground rivers, and precipitous ledges. The muted light from the entrance quickly faded, replaced by the faint luminescence of glowing moss and strategically placed, almost ethereal torches.
Azure instructed, holding up the Arc Phone, "Alright, Rotom, lead the way."
*WHIRR-BZZZT*
Rotom instantly projected a holographic map of Victory Road, shimmering blue lines highlighting the most direct, efficient path. Rotom said, "Optimal trajectory for fastest transit identified. Minimal detours, maximum efficiency."
Azure grinned, a smirk playing on his lips, and replied, "Excellent."
He knew this place was a crucible, a final proving ground. Trainers seeking to be the very best arrived here after a long and grueling journey, their determination as sharp as the edges of the rock formations around them. Victory Road was the last and toughest of the challenges leading up to the Pokémon League, designed to weed out all but the most truly prepared.
But Azure's team? They were beyond prepared.
They were honed, refined, and eager.
As they delved deeper, the ambient sounds of the cave grew more pronounced: the drip of water, the scuttle of unseen wild Pokémon, the distant ROAR of something large asserting its territory. Soon, they encountered their first challenge.
A wild Onix, its segments gleaming dully in the low light, slithered across their intended path, its head rearing with a guttural growl, challenging their passage. Azure's expression remained calm. He called out, tossing a Poké Ball, "Infernape, spotlight!"
*POP*
With a flash of white light, Infernape materialized, roaring a challenge back at the colossal rock snake. Its fiery crest burned brighter, and its golden fur seemed to ripple with pent-up energy. The Onix lunged, its massive body surprisingly agile, attempting a Rock Slide. Boulders, large and jagged, detached from the ceiling and rained down.
Azure commanded, "Infernape, Agility, then Sacred Fire!"
Infernape moved with blistering speed, a blur of motion, dodging the falling rocks with practiced ease!
*WHOOSH*
It then cupped its hands, and from within them, a small yet intensely burning flame appeared. But this wasn't just any fire. This was the Sacred Fire, imbued with the ancient power he'd seen Entei wield.
Infernape had learned it by a truly unconventional method – absorbing the very essence of Entei's flames during their training, much like a Starter Pokémon might consume an Energy Ball to activate Overgrow.
This absorption had fundamentally changed its internal fire, refining it, making it purer, stronger, and more potent. The Sacred Fire erupted, a brilliant pillar of blue and orange flames, striking the Onix head-on!
*FWOOSH*
The Onix recoiled with a pained scream, its rock segments sizzling and cracking under the intense heat. Before it could recover, Infernape pressed the attack with a swift Close Combat, a flurry of powerful, precise strikes that sent the massive Pokémon tumbling to the ground.
*THUD*
The Onix, defeated but not severely injured thanks to the controlled intensity of Infernape's blows, lay stunned. Azure instructed softly, "Infernape, now Flames of Healing."
*HISSSS*
Infernape clasped its hands together again, and this time, a gentle, golden-orange flame emanated, washing over the Onix. The cracks on its body began to seal, and a faint glow enveloped it, revitalizing its energy.
This was the other side of Infernape's unique training – the ability to heal with its flames, a benevolent power derived from the same source as its destructive sacred fire. The Onix groaned, then slowly, carefully, righted itself, shaking its head before slithering away, surprisingly revitalized.
Gengar chuckled from Azure's shadow, "Too good, huh? He probably feels better than he did before the fight!"
Azure smiled, recalling Infernape answering Gengar's question, "That's the idea, Gengar. We conquer, but we don't need to destroy."
Only moments later, a pair of Ace Trainers emerged from a side passage, their Pokémon – a Donphan and a Magcargo – ready for battle. The lead Ace Trainer, a stern woman, stated, "Halt! You're quite the trainer to take on wild Pokémon here. But against us, you'll find a real challenge!"
Azure replied, his eyes sparkling with competitive fire, "A challenge is exactly what we're looking for, my guy. In fact, I'll only use one Pokémon to defeat you two. Gallade, show them what you've got!"
*WHOOSH*
Gallade appeared, its sharp blades gleaming. It stood poised, a warrior ready for battle. The trainers commanded, "Donphan, Rollout! Magcargo, Flamethrower!"
Donphan curled into a ball, launching itself towards Gallade with incredible speed, while Magcargo unleashed a torrent of scorching flames. But Gallade looked calm and positioned himself in his battle stance. Azure commanded, "Gallade, reflect with Psychic Spoon, then use Psycho Cut!"
*HUMMM*
Gallade's blades, already razor-sharp, shimmered with psychic energy. It didn't just deflect; it conjured a spoon-like extension of pure psychic energy from its forearm, twirling it with astonishing dexterity.
The Psychic Spoon glowed, intercepting Donphan's Rollout and redirecting it sharply to the side, sending the rolling Pokémon careening off course…
*CLANG*
The Flamethrower, too, was met by a swirling psychic barrier from the spoon, dissipating harmlessly. Then, Gallade was in motion. Its Sharpness Ability, enhanced by its rigorous training, made its blades terrifyingly effective.
With fluid, almost artistic movements, it darted towards the Magcargo. A swift, silent Psycho Cut followed, the blade slicing through the air. But this Psycho Cut wasn't just a physical strike; as it connected, a faint, disorienting shimmer enveloped Magcargo. The opponent suddenly felt a wave of dizziness, its movements becoming sluggish as a Confusion status effect took hold.
Before Magcargo could fully register the disorientation, Gallade spun, its psychic spoon-blade extending again, this time adorned with swirling green energy. It plunged the spoon into the ground, causing a burst of ghostly fire to radiate towards the Donphan; fireballs of ghostly energy immediately combusted and burned around the rolling Pokémon, draining Donphan's strength.
Donphan, burned and weakened, tried to break free, but Gallade was already on it. With another swift, precise strike using its now-empowered blades, a Leaf Blade glowing with a vibrant green, it dispatched Donphan with a single, elegant sweep. Magcargo, still reeling from confusion, fell shortly after a follow-up Close Combat, unable to mount an effective defense.
The Ace Trainer gasped, recalling her Pokémon, "Incredible! Your Gallade's swordsmanship is... otherworldly! And that Psychic Spoon..."
Azure affirmed, recalling Gallade with a proud smile, "He's come a long way. He's learned to apply status effects with his blades, adding an extra layer to his technique."
Gengar said, a low rumble of amusement escaping its shadowy form, "Too good might be an understatement. They're practically toying with them."
The deeper they went, the path continued its winding ascent. The light grew scarce, replaced by the eerie glow of bioluminescent fungi and the occasional glint of precious minerals embedded in the rock.
The air grew heavier, yet Azure's pace remained steady, his determination unwavering. They entered a vast, echoing chamber, illuminated by a central shaft of pale moonlight filtering through a distant crevice.
Here, a trio of Ace Trainers, veterans by the look of their grizzled faces, stood ready and prepared. One had a Rampardos, another an Aggron, and the third, a formidable Bastiodon. A true wall.
Azure mused aloud, grabbing 2 Poké Balls from his belt, "This looks like a job for variety. Hey, you 3 up to battle against 2 of my Pokémon! Togekiss, Kleavor, let's go!"
*POOF*
Togekiss gracefully materialized, wings unfurled. Its serene face radiated confidence cried, "Cooo!"
*CRACK-Thud*
Kleavor appeared with a powerful thud, its stone axes glowing faintly, its bulk a stark contrast to Togekiss's airy elegance, "Klea… (Oh? Fresh meat.)"
One of the trainers called out with a sly grin, followed by others agreeing, "A flying type and a rock type! Interesting combination! You're on! Rampardos, Head Smash! Aggron, Iron Defense! Bastiodon, Flash Cannon!"
The Rampardos, a force of nature, charged with a devastating Head Smash. Aggron hunkered down, raising its defenses, while Bastiodon fired a brilliant beam of energy aimed at them. Azure commanded, "Togekiss, Air Slash! Kleavor, Stone Axe!"
Togekiss ascended rapidly, performing a mesmerizing ballet in the air. As Rampardos closed in, she unleashed a flurry of Air Slashes.
*WHOOSH—WHOOSH*
The sharp, invisible blades of air, imbued with Togekiss's Serene Grace Ability, struck Rampardos repeatedly. The powerful Pokémon staggered, its charge faltering, moments before it could connect. A yellow ring shimmered around it – flinch!
Rampardos was unable to move, its momentum broken. Simultaneously, Kleavor moved. Thanks to the intense Gravity Training he'd undergone, his movements, despite his size, were incredibly swift.
*ZOOOM*
He closed the distance to the Aggron and Bastiodon with surprising alacrity. His stone axes shimmered with ancient power!
*CRACK-THUD*
He brought one down on Aggron with a thunderous Stone Axe. The force of the blow was immense, shattering through Aggron's freshly raised defenses. The residual energy from Stone Axe created a jagged field of sharp rocks around Aggron, inflicting continuous damage.
Bastiodon bravely tried to counter with its Flash Cannon, but Togekiss, still in the air, swooped down with another Air Slash, catching Bastiodon off guard and causing it to flinch before it could fire. Kleavor, sensing the opening, didn't hesitate.
*BHA-CRACK*
Another devastating Stone Axe landed squarely on Bastiodon. The sheer, unadulterated strength behind Kleavor's blows, a direct result of his gravity training making him hit harder and move faster, was astounding…
*THUD*
Both Aggron and Bastiodon crumpled, defeated.
The Aggron trainer exclaimed, recalling his Pokémon with wide eyes, "They didn't even get a chance to counter!"
The Bastiodon trainer muttered in admiration, "Togekiss's Serene Grace flinches are brutal, and that Kleavor... too fast and strong! How does he train such a brute like that to be that fast and powerful…"
Gengar whispered, appearing briefly from Azure's shadow, a cheeky grin on its face, "That's just how we roll."
Azure beamed, recalling Kleavor and Togekiss praising both his Pokémon, "Not bad for a big guy, huh? And Togekiss, your flinches make all the difference."
Azure decided, sensing a section of the tunnel ahead that pulsed with strange electrical readings, "Next up, Rotom."
Rotom's voice buzzed directly from the Arc Phone, "What's the plan, Azure? Another quick sweep?"
Azure chuckled. "Something a little more... expansive."
They rounded a bend and encountered a horde of wild Pokémon – Aron, Magneton, and even a few Bronzor – drawn together by the rich metallic veins in the cave walls. They turned hostile at Azure's presence.
Azure announced, "Perfect. Rotom, prepare for a synchronized performance!"
*BZZZT-WHOOSH*
Rotom burst from the Arc Phone, not settling into one form but rapidly cycling through them: washing machine, lawnmower, refrigerator, fan, oven. Its body shimmered with unstable energy, the transformations happening in a blur.
Then Rotom settled on its new form, Stereo Rotom, with a mischievous grin. Azure ordered, "Stereo Rotom, Boomburst!"
Rotom's body pulsed and roared. Rotom shimmered with crackling electricity, and then, in a synchronized, deafening blast, they unleashed Boomburst. The soundwaves converged, amplified by the cave's acoustics, creating a concussive shockwave that reverberated through the chamber.
*KABOOOM-ZZZZAAP*
*CLANG-CLATTER*
The wild Pokémon were caught completely off guard. The Arons were sent tumbling, their metal bodies ringing like gongs. The Magneton's magnetic fields were disrupted, causing them to collide awkwardly.
The Bronzor were spun around like tops. The sheer volume and chaotic energy of the Stereo Rotom attack, combined with the raw power of Boomburst, was overwhelming.
They were all effectively incapacitated, disoriented, and stunned, none severely hurt, but all completely out of the fight. Gengar commented, a low whistle of appreciation, "That's one way to clear a room, ghostly boy!"
Azure praised, as Rotom dissolved back into the original, who then zipped happily back into the Arc Phone, "Rotom's ingenuity knows no bounds."
Azure continued his march through Victory Road, his footsteps echoing in the vast, subterranean expanse. The challenges grew steadily tougher, the wild Pokémon more ferocious, the Ace Trainers more seasoned.
But with each encounter, Azure's team emerged victorious, their training proving its worth tenfold. Lucario, however, had been patiently waiting for his moment, observing his teammates with focused intensity.
They pressed on, passing through a narrow, winding tunnel that eventually opened into an enormous, cathedral-like cavern. Here, crystalline formations rose like giant, spectral trees, shimmering with faint, internal light.
It was a place of immense, quiet power…
*RUMBLE-RUMBLE*
Suddenly, a seismic tremor shook the cavern. The ground quaked, and from a deep crevice, a truly colossal creature emerged – an Alpha Steelix.
Its metallic body, scarred and ancient, gleamed ominously, twice the size of any normal Steelix, its eyes burning with primordial fury. It had been slumbering, and their presence had apparently disturbed its long rest. It let out a deafening roar, the sound reverberating through the cavern, sending pebbles skittering from the ceiling.
Pikachu tensed on Azure's shoulder, a single charge sparking. Eevee puffed up its fur, ready for anything. Pichu (Mew) peeked out with a mischievous glint in its childlike Mew eyes, a tiny, undetectable psychic field subtly influencing the environment.
Azure observed, his voice calm despite the immense threat, "It's an Alpha! And it's territorial. Looks like you're up, Lucario."
*POOF*
Lucario appeared, its sleek, blue-and-black form standing resolutely against the colossal Steelix. Its aura pulsed visibly, a vibrant blue energy radiating from its body. Lucario had spent countless hours training with Mewtwo, pushing the boundaries of its innate aura abilities, expanding its reserves to an astonishing degree. It had learned not just new moves, but a profound connection to its own life energy.
*CHUGGA-CHUGGA-CHUGGA*
The Alpha Steelix, agitated by Lucario's defiant stance, coiled its massive body and charged, its immense bulk accelerating with surprising speed. The ground vibrated with each segment. Lucario didn't wait for a command.
Its eyes, normally a piercing red, flared with an even greater intensity. A blinding light erupted from its form, coalescing around it. Azure watched, a wide, awe-struck grin spreading across his face, as Lucario began to Mega Evolve on its own.
*FLASH*
The familiar transformation sequence enveloped Lucario, but it was different. There was no Key Stone, no Mega Stone being actively held. Instead, the energy seemed to surge from within Lucario itself, driven by its heightened aura.
Its fur grew thicker, its claws sharper, and the black markings on its body extended, becoming even more pronounced. In a dazzling flash, Mega Lucario stood ready, its power amplified, its aura swirling like a visible storm around it.
Azure whispered, not even bothering to command, "Unbelievable. He finally did it! So glad Mewtwo helped him achieve this with sheer effort alone."
The Alpha Steelix, momentarily taken aback by the sudden surge of power, hesitated. But its primal rage quickly returned, and it lunged forward, attempting to crush Mega Lucario with a powerful Iron Tail.
Mega Lucario moved with impossible speed, its aura-enhanced senses allowing it to predict the attack. It met the incoming tail with its glowing fist, unleashing a powerful Drain Punch!
*WHAM-CRUNCH*
The blow connected with incredible force, not only stopping the Iron Tail but also sending a shockwave through Steelix's metallic body. Mega Lucario visibly absorbed some of Steelix's life force, feeling a surge of renewed energy.
But Lucario wasn't done...
*FLASH*
The aura around it intensified further, turning from a vibrant blue to an iridescent, swirling rainbow of colors – an unprecedented power surging through its body. From its very core, a new burst of energy erupted, transforming it again, momentarily shining with the raw potential of a Mega Lucario Z.
Azure's breath hitched, muttering, "He's really pushing it!"
Mega Lucario Z roared, a sound far more primal than its usual battle cry. It clasped its paws together, and between them, a sphere of pure, concentrated aura began to form. This wasn't just an Aura Sphere; it was an Aura Sphere infused with the raw, untamed power of its perfected Mega Evolution – a sphere of devastating force…
It bellowed, and with a mighty thrust, unleashed the sphere, "LUCARIO!!"
*FWOOSH—BOOOM*
The Aura Sphere, a brilliant, pulsating orb of pure energy, streaked across the cavern and impacted the Alpha Steelix with an earth-shattering explosion. The sound was deafening, the light blinding. Dust and debris exploded outwards.
*THUUUUD*
The colossal Alpha Steelix, a creature of immense power, screamed a guttural cry of defeat as its massive form was lifted off the ground by the sheer force of the blast, before crashing back down with a resounding fall, utterly defeated.
The iridescent glow faded from Lucario, and with a final, magnificent flash, it reverted to its normal form, panting slightly but standing tall, exuding an aura of profound satisfaction. Azure rushed forward, recalling Lucario with a heartfelt smile, and praised, "You did it, buddy! You did it!"
He knew how it had happened. Under Mewtwo's guidance, Lucario had learned to push its aura to such extreme heights that it could intermingle its own life energy with the latent energy of Mega Evolution.
Rather than holding a Mega Stone, Lucario, in an act of profound commitment and trust, had consumed its Mega Stones, allowing them to dissolve and become a part of its very biological and auric structure. This allowed it to self-activate Mega Evolution, drawing the power from within, a testament to its unparalleled mastery of aura.
Gengar remarked, its voice unusually subdued, almost reverent, "That's some serious power-up, boss. Eating Mega Stones... who'd have thought?"
Pikachu, Eevee, and Pichu (Mew) all looked at Azure, then at the spot where the Alpha Steelix lay, their eyes shining with a mix of awe and renewed determination. Azure grinned, feeling a surge of pride and exhilaration, and stated proudly, "I told you, we're ready for anything."
With Lucario's incredible feat still echoing in their minds, Azure and his companions pushed through the last, increasingly challenging tunnels of Victory Road. The encounters, though frequent, no longer seemed insurmountable.
Every Pokémon now carried itself with an air of unshakeable confidence, a direct reflection of its rigorous training and Azure's unwavering belief in it. Finally, after what felt like an eternity traversing the geological heart of Sinnoh, a brilliant light pierced the darkness ahead. They had reached the end…

[Sinnoh Region, Pokémon League]
Emerging from the final cavern, Azure paused, taking a deep breath of the fresh, invigorating air. Before him, bathed in the late afternoon sun, stood the majestic, imposing structure of the Sinnoh Pokémon League building. Its grand architecture, reaching skyward, seemed to beckon, promising the ultimate test.
The journey was almost complete.
The Elite Four, then Champion Cynthia herself, awaited. Azure looked back at the path they had just conquered, the dark maw of Victory Road now behind them. He thought of the weeks of training, the battles, the unique triumphs, and the unbreakable bond forged with each of his Pokémon.
Pikachu chirped excitedly, scrambling to his shoulder and pointing a paw towards the League building. Eevee let out a determined cry, shaking its head vigorously about what's to come. Pichu (Mew), feeling the excitement, gave a rare, tiny Mew from his jacket, vibrating with anticipation. Azure whispered, his voice filled with quiet conviction, "They're ready. We're all ready. Time to make it the finale."
Gengar materialized fully, floating beside him. She uttered fondly, "This is it, Boss. The final hurdle."
Rotom buzzed, its screen projecting a strategic overview of the League building, "Final destination reached. Commencing preparations for the Elite Four challenge!"
Azure looked up at the towering edifice, a fierce, determined gleam in his eyes. The end of their journey was fast approaching, but it was just the beginning of their final, most glorious chapter. He took a deep breath, the scent of victory already on the wind.
Azure said calmly, his voice ringing with absolute certainty, "Let's go… Let's become Sinnoh Champions."
