A significant amount of time had passed, the battlefield bearing witness to an electrifying, grueling exchange. The air was thick with the scent of ozone and singed earth. Both trainers had pushed their Pokémon to their absolute limits.
Volkner had already lost four of his formidable Electric-types: his swift Pelipper, the electrifying Jolteon, the volatile Hisuian Electrode, and his powerful Raichu. Azure, in turn, had seen five of his own fall in spectacular fashion: the defensive Tangrowth, his high-flying Alpha Garchomp, the tank-like Alpha Rhyperior, the resilient Gastrodon, and his own Electivire. Each loss was a testament to Volkner's strategic prowess and the sheer power of his team.
Volkner's fifth Pokémon, an Electivire, stood defiantly on the field, its two tails crackling with electrical energy, its hands encased in what looked like heavy [Punching Gloves] – a held item designed to boost its mighty punches. It was breathing heavily, sweat beading on its brow, but its eyes still blazed with fierce determination.
Azure held his last Poké Ball, the Master Ball, its unique sheen glinting under the arena lights. He took a deep, steadying breath, the weight of the moment pressing down on him. Five of his trusted companions were now resting, battered but proud.
This was it. The final push.
Azure muttered, a silent promise to the legendary Pokémon within, "Alright, partner… just you and me left…"
He extended his arm, the Master Ball gleaming. He declared in a resolute tone, "Regigigas, I choose you!"

A blinding flash of white light erupted from the Master Ball, expanding rapidly before coalescing into a colossal, ancient figure. Each heavy footstep of Regigigas shook the very foundations of the gym as the Colossal Pokémon materialized.
Its massive, stone-like body, adorned with strange braille-like markings, radiated an ancient, primal power. In its right hand, a faint shimmer indicated its held item: [Bright Powder], subtly enhancing its evasiveness.
Upon entry, Regigigas's Ability, Slow Start, immediately activated. A visible, almost palpable aura of sluggishness enveloped the legendary Pokémon, its movements becoming noticeably slower, its power temporarily suppressed.
Volkner's eyes, usually so composed, widened. A gasp escaped his lips. His voice was laced with genuine shock, a rare display of surprise from the usually unflappable Gym Leader, "A… a Legendary? Regigigas?!
He had expected a tough opponent, but never a legendary Pokémon in a Gym battle. Azure met Volkner's gaze, a grim determination in his eyes declaring, "I needed every advantage I could get, Volkner. You're no ordinary Gym Leader."
A small, almost regretful smile touched Volkner's lips. His initial shock quickly gave way to a renewed, burning intensity as he exclaimed, "Indeed. And it seems you still had something left in your sleeves. A legendary… how fitting for a battle to decide the final badge. Then let's lament the nearing end of this magnificent battle later, Azure! For now, let us both fight with every ounce of our might! Electivire, Shock Wave!"

Electivire's tails lashed out, generating a potent wave of electricity that pulsed towards the colossal Regigigas!
Azure commanded, his voice sharp and clear, "Regigigas, Gravity!"
*THWUMP*
Regigigas, despite its Slow Start, lumbered into action. Its eyes glowed, and a dark, oppressive force emanated from its body, distorting the very space around it. The Gravity field rushed forward, a crushing, invisible weight.
*WHOOSH—BOOM*
The pale blue Shock Wave slammed into the expanding Gravity field. For a moment, the two attacks wrestled, electricity flickering wildly against the dark, encroaching force. But Regigigas's Gravity was an overwhelming power.
The Shock Wave was not merely deflected; it was crushed, imploding inwards with a sound like shattering glass. The residual force of Gravity then slammed into Electivire.
*THUNK*
Electivire cried out, its powerful limbs buckling under the sudden, immense pressure. It struggled valiantly to stay upright, heavy grunts escaping its maw as it felt as though an invisible mountain had been dropped onto its shoulders.
Movement became a monumental effort. Volkner exclaimed, concern etched on his face, "What? It's completely pinned! Electivire, return!"
He reached for its Poké Ball, trying to swap his struggling Pokémon. But Azure barked, anticipating Volkner's move, "Regigigas, Block!"
*CLANG*
Before Volkner's Poké Ball could even activate, Regigigas's eyes flashed again, and a solid, invisible barrier immediately formed around Electivire. The energy beam of Volkner's recall attempt bounced harmlessly off the barrier, leaving Electivire trapped, unable to retreat within the battlefield.
Volkner frowned, his brow furrowed in confusion. He muttered in a baffled tone, "Block? But… why? Why would you prevent me from switching out, only to keep your Legendary compromised?"
Azure did not explain, merely a knowing smirk. Volkner felt an unsettling chill crawl up his spine. He watched Regigigas, still moving with agonizing slowness, seemingly doing nothing but emitting that heavy, oppressive Gravity.
… But as seconds ticked by, an imperceptible shift began. The air around Regigigas seemed to shimmer, the pressure it emitted subtly increasing...
*Beep-Bop*
The braille patterns on its body pulsed faintly.
The Arc Phone buzzed, a red progress bar filling rapidly as Rotom exclaimed, "RO-TOM! Analyzing! Slow Start… nearing completion!"
Gengar floated closer as she cackled loudly, "Heh. Ol' Volkner's about to learn why you don't let a sleeping giant wake up."
*VRRRMM*
Then, with a sudden, powerful pressure, the sluggish aura around Regigigas vanished. The Colossal Pokémon stood straighter, its immense form radiating raw, untamed power. Its eyes glowed with renewed ferocity, and its every muscle seemed coiled with explosive energy…
Slow Start had run its course. Regigigas was now at full power.
Volkner's eyes widened again, understanding dawning on him, quickly replaced by a surge of alarm. He cursed under his breath, "Fuck! So that's it! You trapped Electivire to stall for your Pokémon's Ability to be over. Clever… too clever."
Azure commanded, his voice ringing with newfound confidence, "Regigigas, Strong Style Mega Punch!"
With an earth-shaking roar, Regigigas wound back its colossal fist, gathering immense strength. Its arm muscles visibly bulked, glowing with an inner intensity!
*FWOOSH—BOOM*
It lunged forward, a veritable freight train of stone and muscle, its punch aimed directly at the still-struggling Electivire. Volkner's mind raced. He knew Electivire couldn't dodge. He had to think fast.
Reacting to his instincts, he commanded with a desperate voice, "Electivire, Counter Shield Thunder! Shoot it into the sky, then spread it across the field!"
*KAZZAM*
Electivire, though still hampered by Gravity, mustered its remaining strength. Its tail snapped upwards, firing a massive bolt of Thunder into the arena ceiling. The bolt then fractured, spreading outwards like an electric net, arcing violently across the entire battlefield.
*CRACKLE-POP-ZAP*
The ground became a dangerous mosaic of crackling electricity, making movement treacherous and potentially inflicting paralysis. Sparks flew everywhere.
Volkner grimly hoped that at least the widespread electricity would deter Regigigas or inflict some status. But Regigigas was already committed. Its Strong Style Mega Punch was an unstoppable force…
*THUNDEROUS—CRASH*
The colossal fist slammed into the expanding electric shield, not merely breaking through it, but crushing it with sheer brute force. The Thunder was dispersed into chaotic, harmless sparks as Regigigas's momentum carried it forward.

The Mega Punch connected with Electivire, not directly, but with the overwhelming wind pressure and concussive force behind it. Electivire, already reeling, was sent hurtling backward with an agonizing cry, slamming into the Gym's reinforced walls with a sickening smash…
A cloud of dust and debris erupted, obscuring the Electric-type Pokémon. Azure's Pokémon all cried out in disbelief, "Pika-Chu! Eevee! Pichu?! (Was that just the *wind* from its punch?!)"
Gengar replied, a hint of awe in her voice, "Heh. That's Legendary power for you. The fringe effects are stronger than most Pokémon's main attacks."
Even Flint, the Fire-type Elite Four, let out a low whistle of surprise. Volkner stared, aghast as he muttered in disbelief, "Such physical strength… incredible."
When the dust settled, Electivire was slumped against the wall, clearly in immense pain, but still, miraculously, conscious. Several cracks webbed the reinforced wall where it had hit. Volkner's gamble, however, had paid off.
*ZAP-ZAP*
As Regigigas recovered from its devastating strike, a series of static sounds emanated from its body. It wobbled slightly, a faint blue glow flickering around it. Rotom chirped in disbelief, "RO-TOM! Regigigas is paralyzed! The Counter Shield Thunder worked!"
Azure's eyes narrowed slightly. A momentary setback as he yelled out loud, "Hang in there, Regigigas!"
Volkner urged, seeing his opening, "Electivire, don't give up! Thunder Punch!"
Electivire, though barely standing, pushed off the wall and began to advance, its fist crackling with electricity, but its movements were agonizingly slow under the lingering effects of Gravity.
A sly smirk touched Azure's lips as he said slyly, "Oh, really, Volkner? You think I'd forget about status conditions? Regigigas, Agile Style Hidden Power!"
Volkner's eyes widened, a flicker of panic in them. He instinctively yelled, anticipating a powerful, ranged attack, "Protect!"
*SHIII*
Electivire managed to raise its arms defensively, expecting a blast. But what happened next shocked everyone present, save for Azure. Regigigas's colossal body became outlined in a soft, ethereal light blue…
*SHIMMER-FLASH*
Instead of launching an attack, the energy swirled inwards, focusing on the points where the paralysis shocks coursed through it. The blue glow intensified, then faded, taking the paralysis with it. Regigigas straightened, its movements fluid once more.
Volkner gasped, disbelieving of what was occurring in front of him, "Wha—What?! It… it healed itself? With Hidden Power?"
Gengar supplied, enjoying Volkner's stunned expression, "Heh. A neat trick, huh? The boss must've learnt a new way to use the move."
Azure's smirk widened as he confessed with his arms crossed and a smug grin, "A little secret I picked up. Hidden Power can be channeled to restore the user from status conditions, given enough focus. Agile Style allowed it to execute the technique rapidly. Now, Regigigas, Mega Punch!"
*BOOOOOOM*
Freed from its debilitating status, Regigigas lunged forward again, a blur of motion despite its immense size. The fully powered Mega Punch connected squarely this time, sending Electivire not just flying, but collapsing instantly.
*THUD*
Its eyes swirled, then rolled back, completely knocked out. Flint declared, raising his flag, "Electivire is unable to battle!"
Volkner took a deep, shaky breath, then exhaled slowly, recalling his valiant Electivire. He held its Poké Ball to his chest for a moment, praising it silently. Then, his eyes hardening with renewed resolve, he pulled out his final Poké Ball.
Gazing at Azure, the teenager who helped him in the past. Volkner declared in a determined tone, "Azure… you are truly something else. But this battle isn't over yet! My last partner will finish this! Elektross, let's go!"
*POP—VRRMM*
With a fierce growl, Volkner sent out his last Pokémon, Elektross. The creature, a serpentine Electric-type, immediately struggled, its body visibly straining under the persistent, crushing force of Regigigas's Gravity. It was pinned to the ground, unable to truly utilize its mobility.
However, Azure caught its Held Item around its neck: the [Elektrossite]. But then, Volkner raised his left hand, adorned with a sleek Mega Glove, raising it into the air, screaming, "Elektross, Mega Evolve!"
*FLASH*
A swirling vortex of light erupted from Volkner's Mega Glove, enveloping Elektross. The Pokémon's form began to shift, to grow, to intensify. Its body became more defined, its jowls expanded, and its eyes burned with potent energy.
*WHOOSH—VWOOOM*
When the light faded, Mega Elektross stood in its place. Its newfound strength, surprisingly, allowed it to resist the full brunt of Gravity's suppression, though it still felt the lingering pressure. It hovered slightly above the ground, its powerful jaws snapping.
Azure acknowledged, a flicker of admiration in his eyes, "Impressive, Volkner."
Volkner commanded, his voice ringing with renewed vigor, "Indeed, Azure. Now, Elektross, Thunder Fang!"
*ZAP—CHOMP*
Mega Elektross, a blur of lightning-fast motion, shot forward, its fangs crackling with electricity. It lunged at Regigigas's arm, its electrified bite sinking deep into the Colossal Pokémon's stony hide.

The Legendary Pokémon swung its massive fist, aiming for Mega Elektross. But the Mega Evolved Pokémon was too agile. With a swift twist of its body, Elektross dodged the slow, winding punch.

It then doubled back, sinking another devastating Thunder Fang into Regigigas's side, inflicting even more damage and causing another jolt of paralysis. Azure cursed mentally as he thought, 'Shit! Paralysis again! Regigigas is at a disadvantage!'
Flint, ever the astute observer, leaned forward. He mused aloud, seeing the scene, "Azure's in a tough spot. Still can't hit a speedy target from a distance. He's forced to go up close and take the damage."
Volkner pressed his advantage, "Elektross, Shock Wave!"
*CRACKLE—KAZZAM*
Mega Elektross unleashed another surge of electricity across the field, aiming for a direct hit this time. But Azure yelled, "Regigigas, Protect!"
*CLANG*
A transparent barrier shimmered into existence around Regigigas, absorbing the Shock Wave harmlessly. But Mega Elektross was relentless…
*FWIP*
*ZAP—CHOMP*
It leaped high into the air, descending with another Thunder Fang, getting past the dissipating Protect and sinking its fangs into Regigigas's shoulder. The powerful bite caused a fresh wave of paralysis to wrack Regigigas's body, its massive frame trembling uncontrollably.
Azure's brow furrowed as he thought, 'This is bad. Regigigas is being chipped away, unless I do something and quickly!'
Azure ordered, "Regigigas, Rest!"
*ZZZZZZZZZ*
With a deep groan, Regigigas's eyes closed, and it collapsed heavily, falling into a deep slumber. Its body began to glow with a healing light, slowly recovering from the damage it had taken.
Volkner spat, seeing his advantage slip away, "Curse it! Elektross, get in there! Finish it with another Thunder Fang before it wakes up!"
Mega Elektross, its eyes glowing with predatory intent, lunged towards the sleeping Legendary. Azure's eyes, however, glowed with a triumphant glint commanded, "Now! Regigigas, Strong Style Snore!"
*ROOOOOAR—GRRRRUMBLE*
Before Elektross could reach it, a booming, guttural sound erupted from Regigigas's open maw, a powerful sound wave that lashed out!
*WHOOSH-THUMP*
Mega Elektross, caught completely off guard, was blasted backward, slamming into the ground, taking damage from the unexpected attack. Volkner commanded, quickly adapting, "Super Fang, Elektross!"
He knew what Snore meant, and he knew how to counter it. Mega Elektross, dazed but quickly recovering, darted forward again. Its jaws snapped wide…
*CRNNNCH*
… delivering a perfect Super Fang attack. The powerful move, designed to halve the opponent's current HP, bit into Regigigas, causing the Colossal Pokémon to awaken with a pained screech, "REG—IGIG—ASSSS!!!"
It had lost nearly half of its newly restored health. Volkner let out a sigh of relief, though his expression remained grim. He declared, "Alright, Azure, it's been fun, but it's time to stop toying around. Elektross, finish this! Close Combat!"
Mega Elektross roared, its body surging with power. It began to glow with a fighting aura, charging towards Regigigas with incredible speed, preparing to unleash a brutal flurry of close-range attacks. Regigigas, still reeling from the Super Fang, stumbled backward, its movements sluggish from the rapid awakening.
Azure's eyes were locked on Regigigas. He knew this was it.
The moment of truth. He saw the fire in Regigigas's eyes, the deep-seated fighting spirit of a true Legendary being ignited by the intensity of the battle. He roared, his voice echoing through the gym, "Regigigas!"
Just as Mega Elektross was about to strike, poised for the devastating Close Combat, it hesitated. Its sharp eyes widened in surprise, then confusion, at what it saw. Regigigas, battered and bruised, began to glow…

Faintly at first, then intensely. Its braille-like markings flared with a crimson light, and its eyes, usually a calm, neutral color, became completely red, burning with an ancient fury. This was more than just a move; it was a surge of raw, untamed power.
Regigigas let out a deafening scream, a cry of pure, unadulterated rage that made the very air vibrate, "REGI—GIGASSSSS!!!"

Its body flashed crimson, and then, without a single command from Azure, it unleashed a colossal amount of energy. A massive, concentrated beam of pure Hidden Power shot out, charged with incredible force, erupted from its chest, launching itself directly at Mega Elektross.

The beam slammed into its body with devastating force, sending it careening backward, slamming even harder into the already cracked gym walls. The impact produced a shockwave that rippled through the arena, momentarily disrupting the lights.
Azure watched, a triumphant glint in his eye. He murmured, almost to himself, "There it is! It's a second wind. Volkner, you ignited its fighting spirit."
Regigigas, close to defeat, had found a deeper reserve, a primitive desire to go all out, to truly unleash its power. Still glowing with the maroon aura and red eyes, Regigigas didn't stop. Without another command, it raised its massive hand.
*CRACKLE—KAZZAM*
*KRA-BOOOM—VWWOOOOMPH*
A swirling vortex of elemental energy gathered, then coalesced into a colossal sphere of pure power. It was a massive, untamed Tera Blast, erupting from Regigigas's core and hurtling towards the reeling Mega Elektross.
Volkner shrieked, his voice filled with genuine fear and awe in a fierce tone, "Elektross, Protect! NOW!"
*BOOOOOOM*
At the very last second, a shimmering Protect barrier formed around Mega Elektross, barely containing the devastating Tera Blast. The energy exploded outwards, and while Elektross was shielded, the gym wall behind it finally gave way, collapsing under the immense pressure, sending concrete and rebar scattering.
Volkner stared, his jaw dropped, beads of sweat running down his face. He had seen powerful Pokémon, but this… this was the raw, unrestrained might of a Legendary, fully unleashed. It was terrifying and exhilarating.
Azure, seeing the opening, allowed a confident smirk to grace his lips. He continued, "Regigigas, Strong Style Strength, on the ground!"
Regigigas, still roaring, brought its colossal fist down onto the battlefield…
*EARTH-SHATTERING—CRACK*
*WHOOOSH*
The ground beneath it fractured, sending jagged tremors and massive chunks of debris flying towards Mega Elektross. The sheer power behind the blow created a shockwave that slammed into Mega Elektross, sending it skidding back further through the gaping hole in the wall.
Volkner's eyes widened, recognizing the danger. He quickly ordered, "Elektross, Thunder Fang! Grab hold!"
*ZAP-CHOMP*
Mega Elektross, clinging to consciousness, gathered all its remaining strength. It lunged, its electrified fangs sinking into Regigigas's forearm, trying to anchor itself and inflict damage. Regigigas barely flinched, ignoring the pain.
*BOOOOOOM*
It roared and unleashed Mega Punch, scoring a hard hit directly on Elektross's body. Volkner screamed, desperate, knowing Mega Elektross in its Mega state could hold and release nearly ten times the normal amount of electricity, "No! Elektross, Discharge! Unleash it all!"
This could be their last stand.
*KAZZAM-ZAAAAP-CRACKLE*
Mega Elektross's body glowed with a blinding, overwhelming surge of electricity, ready to detonate a devastating amount of power. But Azure was one step ahead, countering, "Regigigas, Confuse Ray!"
Before Elektross could unleash its devastating Discharge, Regigigas's body, still wreathed in the maroon aura, emitted a strange, shimmering ray. Its braille patterns glowed intensely, now a deep maroon. The ray struck Mega Elektross directly.
*BWAAANG*
Mega Elektross's eyes, fierce and determined moments before, suddenly swirled crimson, then faded to a blank, obedient stare. It stopped its attack, standing perfectly still. And obediently followed Regigigas's will temporarily…
Volkner gasped, bewildered. He screamed, trying to get Elektross to snap out of confusion, "What… what is this? Elektross! Snap out of it!"
Regigigas's body rippled, and then, to Volkner's utter horror, a faint, almost imperceptible connection seemed to form between the Colossal Pokémon and his Mega Elektross. Mega Elektross was not just confused; it was under Regigigas's direct control!
Azure commanded, pressing his advantage, "Now, Regigigas, Rest!"
*ZZZZZZZZZ*
Regigigas's eyes closed, and it slumped into a deep sleep, its immense form slowly healing again. Volkner screamed, his voice raw with disbelief and desperation, "Elektross! Attack it! Snap out of it! Hit it! Anything!"
But Mega Elektross stood perfectly still, obediently letting Regigigas sleep and heal. Azure bellowed, "Now, Agile Style Hidden Power!"
*SHIMMER—AWAKEN*
Regigigas's body glowed blue again, quickly absorbing the energy. Its eyes snapped open, fully healed and fully refreshed.
Volkner roared, his voice cracking, "Elektross, wake up! FIGHT!!!"
*SNAP*
This time, as though the sheer force of Volkner's desperation broke the mental link, Mega Elektross's eyes flickered, the red fading, and awareness slowly returned. But by then it was too late. Regigigas was already moving.
*THWUMP*
The legendary Pokémon reached out a massive hand, its fingers nimble despite their size, and closed them around the struggling Mega Elektross. The serpentine Pokémon flailed within its colossal grasp, utterly helpless.
Volkner screamed, a desperate last gamble, "No! Elektross, unleash Thunder! Release all the electricity in your body! Bite its fingers! Do anything!"
He knew Mega Elektross held enough electricity to stun even a Wailord. Even in Regigigas's grasp, it could deliver a devastating shock.
Mega Elektross, with a surge of renewed will, opened its jaws, its fangs crackling with a furious amount of electricity, aiming to bite into Regigigas's fingers.
*ZAP-KRAK*
But then, the unexpected happened…
*FWIP*
A faint, almost imperceptible shimmer around Regigigas's hand caused Mega Elektross's electrified bite to miss, just by an inch. The [Bright Powder] had done its job, causing a critical attack to fail at the most crucial moment.
*CRUSH—GRIIIIIIIP-CRNNNCH*
Regigigas, its eyes burning red, stared directly at Elektross. Slowly, deliberately, it began to close its colossal hand. A sickening crunch sound filled the arena as the immense pressure of Crush Grip began to take its toll on Mega Elektross.
Then, with a final, furious roar, Regigigas slammed its hand, and the struggling Mega Elektross, hard into the shattered ground!
*KABLAM*
A massive shockwave erupted from the impact point, shattering more of the arena floor as Mega Elektross was utterly obliterated by the force, its eyes swirling before completely rolling back.
Flint, his eyes wide, brought his flag down as he declared, "Mega Elektross is unable to battle! The winner is Azure Sky!"
A moment of stunned silence hung in the air, then a triumphant cry erupted from Pikachu, PIKAAAAAA-CHUUUUUUU! (HE DID IT!!!)"
Eevee leaped onto Azure's shoulder, rubbing its head against his cheek. Pichu clapped frantically, and Rotom buzzed with an excited RO-TOM! VICTORY! Gengar, for once, didn't have a witty remark, just a pleased Heh…
Azure let out a whoop of triumph, rushing towards Regigigas. The colossal Pokémon, its raw power now subsiding, bent down, and Azure leaped into its massive arms. He cheered, hugging the ancient Pokémon's stony finger, "We did it, Regigigas! We did it! We've finally defeated all the Gym Leaders of Sinnoh!!"
Volkner, though defeated, stood on his platform, a wide, genuine smile spreading across his face. He recalled his valiant Elektross, holding its Poké Ball gently as he whispered, "You fought wonderfully, Elektross. Rest now."
He then walked across the decimated battlefield, extending a hand to Azure. He said proudly, "Azure. That… that was truly magnificent—a battle for the ages. You used Regigigas's unique abilities and its raw power to perfection. And that Hidden Power trick… truly audacious."
Azure shook Volkner's hand firmly, his own respect for the Gym Leader evident as he replied proudly, "Thank you, Volkner. You and your Pokémon pushed me harder than anyone has in a long time. It was an honor."
Volkner chuckled, then reached into his jacket. He produced a sleek, golden badge shaped like a beacon and a TM. He explained, "Then, it is my honor to present you with the Beacon Badge, a symbol of your mastery over Electric-type Pokémon… and any type, it seems. And with it, the Technical Machine for Charge Beam."

Azure took the badge, its weight a satisfying culmination of his long journey through Sinnoh. He carefully pinned it alongside his other seven badges and stored the TM. He says, thankfully to Volkner, "Thank you, Volkner. This means everything."
He now had all eight badges, officially completing his requirement for the Sinnoh League. Outside the Sunyshore Gym, the setting sun cast long shadows over the city. Volkner and Flint stood with Azure, the hum of the city's electricity a backdrop to their farewells.
Volkner said fondly, a hand on Azure's shoulder, "Truly an incredible performance, Azure. I wish you the best of luck at the League."
Flint, his grin as wide as ever, clapped Azure on the back and added, "You heard the man! And I'll be waiting for you, kid. Don't think the Elite Four will be an easy ride, even after that show of force."
Azure's eyes shone with determination as he replied resolutely, "I wouldn't have it any other way, Flint. I promise I'll give it my all."
He looked at his badge case, then at his loyal companions. He added happily, "But for now, I'll use my time to train up my team. Regigigas needs a bit more control, and the others need to be ready for what's next."
After bidding Volkner and Flint a warm farewell, Azure headed towards the Pokémon Center, Pikachu and Eevee chattering excitedly, Pichu (Mew) nuzzling into his jacket, and Rotom buzzing with stats. Gengar floated beside him, a rare, soft smile on her ghostly face as they walked.
As he walked, Azure's mind was already racing, contemplating the upcoming challenge. The Elite Four. Cynthia. It would be an even greater trial than anything he'd faced before. He mentally reviewed his roster of Pokémon, not just the six he'd chosen for Volkner, but his entire Sinnoh team.
He wondered, the thrill of the ultimate challenge already beginning to course through his veins, 'What six will I bring for the final stretch of the road?'
The journey was far from over…
