Chapter 418 - Chapter 418: The Original One

Chapter 418: The Original One

~Third POV~

[Hisui Region, Coronet Highlands – Temple of Sinnoh]

Origin Dialga lunged, its throat glowing with the light of a Roar of Time. It was intended to erase them from the timeline before the battle could even begin.

Azure screamed, "Not today! Darkrai! Dark Void Dominion Expansion!"

Mega Darkrai didn't just use a move; it rewrote the rules of the arena. It expanded its shadow until the entire Temple of Sinnoh was swallowed by a pitch-black dimension. For the Hisuians, the world vanished….

*Swf*

The Mega Darkrai didn't just fire a projectile. It expanded its shadow. In an instant, the entire Temple of Sinnoh was swallowed by a sphere of absolute darkness. Outside, the world remained Hisui, but inside the sphere, they were in Darkrai's Dominion.

/////

[Dark Void]

*Swf*

Swallowing all within the Dark Void, everyone adjusted to their sights. They were standing in a void where the only light came from the glowing eyes of Azure's Pokémon. Dialga's Roar of Time fired, but the beam sputtered and died.

The God of Time let out a confused, distorted screech, "GRAOO?! (Nani?! My time… where is it?!!)"

Dialga tried to manipulate the time within the sphere to accelerate the darkness to its end, but the Time God froze. Its eyes widened. The time within the Dark Void wasn't flowing. It was distorted, tangled in a web of nightmares.

Mega Darkrai's voice boomed telepathically resonant and cold, 'In this realm, I am the concept. I have created a dimension within the Dark Void. My Domain. Space and Time function only as I allow… Here, your sovereignty is void…'

Mewtwo Y grinned, a terrifying expression on its feline face as it pulsed Psychic Aura. It gestured, and Palkia found its strength returning instantly as Darkrai allowed space to stabilize for its ally.

Azure shouted, "Three on one! Akari, give the word!"

Akari cried out, "Palkia, Spatial Rend!"

The battle was a symphony of destruction. Within the Dark Void, Dialga was stripped of its greatest weapon—its control over the flow of time. It tried to reverse the damage it had taken, but the seconds refused to turn back. It tried to freeze its opponents, but they moved with a fluid, terrifying speed granted by Darkrai's whim.

*ZOOOM*

Mega Mewtwo Y led the charge, its speed boosted by the lack of temporal friction. It struck Dialga with a Psystrike of such magnitude that the shockwave threatened to crack the temple floor…

*BOOOOM*

Dialga thrashed, firing beams of Roar of Time at the trainers, but the Regis stood in the way. The three titans took the hits, their heavily buffed defenses absorbing the blows that would have leveled a city…

*RMBL*

They didn't move an inch, acting as a living fortress for Azure and Akari. With Ho-Oh healing them constantly, they would be the living shields needed for them to protect.

Akari shouted, her confidence returning as she saw the "God" being pushed back, "Palkia Aura Sphere! Don't give it the chance to attack!"

The battle was a symphony of destruction. Mega Mewtwo Y and Palkia doubled as the primary strikers, weaving through Dialga's jagged defenses. Dialga tried to retreat back into the rift, but Marshadow emerged from its own shadow, using Spectral Thief to sap what little energy Dialga was trying to muster.

Akari cried out, "It's weakening!"

Mewtwo Y was a blur of violet light, striking Dialga with Psystrike after Psystrike, each hit targeting the God's physical form with the weight of a mountain. Palkia, fueled by the desire to protect its new trainer and the spite it felt for its rival, tore at Dialga's armor with claws of distorted space.

Azure's other Pokémon formed a perimeter. The Regi Trio acted as a literal wall, absorbing Dialga's desperate Flash Cannons and Earth Powers without flinching. Deoxys darted in, switching to Speed Forme to deliver a flurry of Psycho Boosts, and then to Defense Forme to shield Akari from the shockwaves.

Origin Dialga was being systematically dismantled. The fear that the prompt had promised was now visible in God's glowing eyes. It had existed since the dawn of creation, yet it had never encountered anything like this—a human who commanded the very monsters that should have been his equals.

Azure commanded, his arm outstretched, "It's weakening! Finish it!"

The three legendary powerhouses gathered their energy. They all nodded in agreement to unleash a combined attack.

Mewtwo Y's eyes burned with the power of the [Mind Plate], a massive sphere of psychic energy forming above its head. Mega Darkrai gathered the literal darkness of the dimension into a concentrated point of entropic force. And Palkia began to charged a Spatial Rend so powerful that the edges of the Dark Void began to crack.

Azure and Akari roared, "NOW! TOGETHER!!"

*KRA-BOOOOM*

The combined forces of Psystrike, Dark Void, and Spatial Rend slammed into Origin Forme Dialga. The explosion was silent but absolute…

*CRACK*

The Origin Forme shattered, the temporal armor falling away to reveal the standard, exhausted form of the Time Pokémon…

[Hisui Region, Coronet Highlands – Temple of Sinnoh]

*THUD*

It fell from the air, crashing onto the stone floor of the temple as the Dark Void dissolved, returning them to the red-tinted reality of Hisui. The rift above began to shrink, the pressure finally lifting.

Azure stepped forward. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the Origin Ball Mewtwo had fashioned from the Red Chain fragments, but he paused. He looked at the ball, then back at the defeated deity.

[Item: Origin Ball

Rarity Item: -

Type: Poke Ball

Description: The very best Poké Ball with the ultimate level of performance crafted by the Master Smith Mewtwo. A singular and irreplicable Poké Ball that can be used to catch the frenzied Pokémon.

Reading the description, Azure suddenly had a different idea in mind as he thought, 'I almost forgot I still needed to use this back home. Better save this for when I really need to capture a Pokémon.'

He put the Origin Ball back and pulled out a standard, sleek Ultra Ball. He didn't need a special cage for a god. He had earned its respect through combat.

He tossed the ball. It hit Dialga's snout with a soft clink. The beam of red light pulled the Master of Time inside.

*Thud*

The ball fell to the ground, rocked once, twice, and then—click.

*BON*

Silence returned to the Coronet Highlands. The red rift above began to swirl, turning back into the natural grey of a mountain storm before slowly dissolving into the clear blue of the afternoon.

Pikachu hopped back onto Azure's shoulder, nuzzling his cheek. Eevee let out a triumphant cry from his head, "Vee!"

Azure walked over and picked up the Ultra Ball, feeling the warmth of the power contained within. Behind him, his legendary team began to de-materialize. The Regis returned to their dormant states, recalled, Deoxys recalled as it went into its hibernation mode, and Marshadow slipped back into his shadow.

Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Darkrai remained for a moment longer before reverting to normal again. They looked at one another—the ultimate creation and the ultimate nightmare—and shared a silent nod of mutual respect.

They had stood against the fabric of reality and won. Then, they too vanished into their respective balls.

Akari approached Azure, her legs shaking. She looked at the Ultra Ball in his hand, then at the destruction around them as she stated, "Azure... what you just did... no one will believe this. You really are something else. I thought... I thought this was the end of the world."

Azure looked at the gathered Hisuians—Kamado, Adaman, Irida—who looked like they were seeing a god in human flesh. Azure chuckled at her response, stating, "Nah. It would've ended if you weren't around. Battling a fully powered Dialga wasn't exactly something I'm too keen on doing again."

Azure chuckled helplessly but felt immense pride battling against Dialga's uncontrollable state. Even though they had overpowered Dialga, it had only been done so under special conditions: numerical advantage and attacking an uncontrollable opponent while in peak condition.

But a win was still a win. Akari puffed her chest out with pride, declaring, "We both conquered Time and Space! We're seriously awesome!"

Then a thought hit her as she asked, curiously gazing at Azure, "Hey, do you think if we had Dialga and Palkia work together, we could travel back to my world or yours?"

Azure replied after a brief moment of thought, "Hmm… possibly. But we'll have to ask them if they can even do that first, though…"

Having crossed dimensions before, he knew the truth. Sure, the combined power of Dialga and Palkia could enable dimensional travel. The real challenge was the directional precision needed, as it wouldn't be a guaranteed exact location.

Akari sighed, hearing that, but both noticed that the sky above Hisui remained a chaotic swirl of red and black. The world still felt tense and unstable. The rift in time and space still hung ominously in the heavens.

Azure, seeing this, held the Ultra Ball as he stated, "We should probably take care of that rift first, though… come out! Dialga!"

*Pop*

With that thought, Azure tossed the Ultra Ball. In a flash of light, Dialga reappeared on the ruined battlefield. Though its aura had weakened, its presence remained overwhelming as it used its Time Manipulation…

*Flash*

Blue aura veiled its body as it began restoring its health using Reverse Time on itself. But unlike before, it was free of its uncontrollable state and let out a low and calm growl at Azure, speaking to him Telepathically, "Graooo… (Through your strength and The Original One's Champion teamwork, you quelled my rage and spared the world further harm. I accept you.)"

Azure smiled as he replied casually, stating understanding Dialga, "That's good to hear from you, Dialga. But we still need your power to seal the rift."

Akari added with Palkia to her side, yelling, "Yeah! We're counting on you both to bring peace back to Hisui!"

"AAARGH~"

"RAAAAH~"

Dialga and Palkia let out synchronized roars as they ascended into the sky, activating the powers of time and space simultaneously. A radiant white light burst forth, purging the dark crimson haze above…

*FLASH*

Sunlight once again bathed the entire Hisui region, illuminating the once-withered and barren land, now reborn with lush greenery. The scar-like rift in time and space visibly shrank and ultimately vanished from sight.

*THUD*

Dialga growled toward Azure as if addressing him directly. Then he listened to Dialga's voice echoing in his mind, explaining, 'Human, I sense an aura upon you that does not belong to this world—or to him. Though I care not for your origin or how you captured me, I acknowledge your strength; however, I must inform you that I cannot leave my duties maintaining the timeline if you leave. But if you ever return here again, then my power is at your command.'

Azure nodded as he had anticipated this. In the Pokémon world, there is no concept of divine right—technically, any Pokémon can be captured.

However, to maintain equilibrium, some Pokémon may be caught, but must not be taken away from the dimension/timeline they protect. Even if they leave temporarily, they cannot stay away for long.

The prime example of this is the Creation Trio Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. Each trio guard protects and stabilizes the concepts of Space, Time, and Distortion, holding balance in the Pokémon world.

Even Arceus itself travels freely. So can the Lake Trio, creators of emotion, as well as Groudon and Kyogre, the creators of land and sea. Even Rayquaza, the guardian of the planet from space, can leave.

But only these three—the time, space, and antimatter deities must remain. Their absence, however brief, could lead to global destruction if any dimension becomes destabilized. With that, both Akari and Azure recalled the Gods of Time and Space to rest.

Commander Kamado, who had worn a stern expression throughout, finally relaxed and smiled as he spoke, "It's finally over. The sun shines once again on Hisui. Let's head back to celebrate."

Kamado, Irida, and Adaman nodded in agreement after seeing that the end of their world was halted, and now that peace had returned, they needed time to process what occurred. Adaman cheered, "Heck yeah! Let's celebrate back at Jubilife Village! We owe Azure, and Akari's a hero's welcome!"

Amidst the joy and laughter, the group departed from the ruins of the Temple of Sinnoh, also known as Spear Pillar, and headed back to Jubilife Village. As they went, Azure mentally laughed, 'Hahaha! Suck it, Volo! Your plan has been thwarted by a group of meddling kids! I just wish I could see his dumb expression when his plan fails…'

Azure smiled a bit happier, thinking that. But he then began thinking of other ideas as he now had Dialga's power…

/////

[Unknown Void]

Far beyond space and time, in the infinite planes outside all universes. The Original One watched in silence.

Arceus, the creator of all, gazed upon the events unfolding across the threads of destiny. His eyes were locked on the human called Azure Sky, the human who assisted one of its many champions.

It witnessed how Azure, with his Pokémon, assisted Akari in passing the challenge against its creations of Space and Time. With but a flicker of his will, the entire information of Azure Sky unfolded before him.

An outsider from beyond its scope granted permission by one of its Avatars. A mysterious individual grants other abilities to survive other worlds, as it mused, "I see… it must be one of his people. These Gamers… quite the interesting power."

But Arceus was not simply curious.

It was contemplating something deeper. Until now, it had merely observed the human known as Azure. According to Arceus' original plan, once one of his avatars reawakened, it intended to entrust it with a critical task of judging the people in the Adventures Worldline of gaining its trust.

It predicted the heroes Gold, Silver, and Crystal to convince the avatar to spare that world, showing its heart. But Arceus, in all its divine wisdom, understood the hearts of mortals could shift like the wind.

Even Arceus could not predict every outcome. Even the heroes of the Adventures World could fail as Arceus pondered deeply…

Thus, a test would be needed. A way to see whether Azure truly cherished Pokémon, not just in words, but in spirit.

Whether his bonds were real. Whether he could stand beside Pokémon not just as their Trainer, but as their friend. Only those who bore unwavering love and selfless intentions could be entrusted with divine power.

Arceus eyes glowed, observing an orb containing the Pokémon Adventures world as it mused curiously, "Then a test is needed… I'll increase my avatar's awakening time to see how his Gamer reacts… to show if his bond is as real as he shows…"

Arceus paused, considering something before whispering to itself in the void, "… I'll give him and his allies a fighting chance to battle with my Avatar's Trio of Creation. As my thanks for assisting one of my champion avatars, Akari, against Dialga. To see whether they can save their world…"
