Chapter 1 - LOW CHANCES

The night doesn't appear too nice, all he waited for was to catch a glimpse of light overtaking the the darkness in the sky. He observed everyone in the room, each individual seems to be carried away by the angel of sleep. This was the perfect chance to execute the plan. He stood up and scrutinize everyone like a wolf ready to hunt for a prey. Derek tip toed in anxiety, making sure his leg movement doesn't give any creaking sound. He aimed for his bag and held towards the exit door. He opened it slowly preventing it from making any cranking sound.

In no time, Derek was at the bus stop, he had succeeded the first stage, time was still on his side. It was just 6:15am. The second bus showed up , Derek got in and grabbed a sit, a victorious smile shined on his face. Back at home, Derek siblings Kay and Jenna had question to answer. Don't tell me you two don't know about his whereabout, he must have told you guys something, I mean he tells you everything, madam Annabel said in a tone of confirmation. Now if you two don't start talking. I will have your ass tied to the window, she threatened. The duo looked at themselves nervously, she had knew there were not going to talk. They had this loyalty bond all between themself. Jenna was the second while Kay was the last born.

Life wasn't easy for Derek, it like been thrown in the middle of a deep sea. You have LOW CHANCES to make it here bro, a voice like that of Jackson would sound bitter at Derek ear. Basket ball really isn't for you, just go get some menial jobs or better apply as a sales boy in any vacant shop you come across, Jackson said smiling rudely at Derek. Of course he was the richest kid in the basket ball academy. Mum wasn't in support of his dreams. They all thought he had LOW CHANCES.
