Chapter 1 – The End Before the Beginning
> (POV: Evalof – The Last Human God)
---
Darkness. Stillness. Silence.
It was the kind of silence that came after death—but I wasn't dead. Not yet. My body had long turned to ash, my name erased from the star scrolls of the gods. But my soul, fragmented and desperate, wandered between the cracks of dimensions.
They thought they won.
Fools.
They called me Everlore—the human who touched divinity. I called myself Evalof now. The past name held too much blood and regret.
In the War Epochs, I wasn't born into power. I was forged by it—betrayed, hunted, feared. Humans were meant to be weak, a lesser race. But I proved that even weakness, sharpened, becomes a blade capable of slashing the heavens.
And when I took the God Key, their precious relic of dominion... the stars trembled.
It was no ordinary artifact.
The God Key wasn't forged by mortals or deities. It was the heart of the System—the mechanism that governed evolution, power, and ascension in the cosmos. Whoever held it could command laws, cultivate worlds, or even shatter realities.
So I did the one thing no one expected.
I ran.
Not out of fear—but out of purpose. Because beyond the veil of their divine conflicts, I had seen a shadow.
A force older than gods, hungrier than demons. A nightmare crawling from the dead edge of the multiverse:
The Darkness Behemoth.
And none of them believed me.
So I fled, tearing a hole through dimensions and plunging the God Key into a seed of fate—a boy, unborn, in a weak, sleeping world. A world disconnected from everything.
Earth.
"Kairo..." I whispered. "May you never remember me."
---
Years Later — Within the Mind of a Sleeping Soul
I drift.
For ages, I remained hidden, buried deep within the subconscious of the boy. A fragment, a whisper, nothing more. Watching... feeling... waiting.
His world was starting to change.
The moment the God Key entered his soul, Earth ripened. Like a virus awakening dormant cells, the System spread across the world. Dungeons appeared. Creatures evolved. People began to awaken, gaining status windows, skill trees, levels, and rankings.
Humans who once knew nothing of mana or spirit roots now formed Guilds, fought Dungeon Lords, and leveled up like the races of the outer cosmos.
But Kairo...
He was different.
Even among the awakened, his System was incomplete. Glitched. Silent.
And yet, his presence shook the very core of fate.
They had begun to notice. The gods. The Elders. Even those ancient beings beyond time whispered his name through the wind of other realms. They called him:
> "The Child of the Key."

Inside Kairo – Evalof's Hidden Realm
I exist in fragments, locked behind the Ninth Veil of his soul.
Each time he fights...
Each time he bleeds...
I grow stronger.
But I do not wish to steal his life.
Only borrow it... when the time comes.
Because the Behemoth stirs again.
It sings through the void, and I can hear it. The silence is fading. Soon, its heralds will come. Not to kill—
To consume.
And only one being can stand between total annihilation and salvation.
Not a god.
Not a monster.
But a boy. A human. A glitch in the system.
Kairo.

Back in the Mortal World — Earth's First Awakening Year
Kairo was seventeen now. Raised in a quiet district of the Land of Everlove, one of Earth's most rural continents. Monsters lurked outside the walls. People had started forming Ranker Squads. Cities like Astronova and Moonveil were becoming testing grounds for dungeon clears.
Kairo had yet to awaken.
He watched as his peers gained class titles like [Knight Initiate], [Shadow Hunter], [Arcane Scholar]—and he remained Ordinary.
But the God Key was merely hibernating.
Not broken.
When it awakens... the entire world will shift.
---
Evalof's Whisper
So I wait.
Wait for the first death. The first rage.
That moment when he is broken enough to open the door... and I step through.
They think I'm a villain.
But I'm the only hope they have.
> When Kairo's soul fractures... the System will unlock its true version. And the universe will burn... or be reborn.
