The night was thick, and the autumn dew was cold.
Connor stood outside his unassuming Phaeton, upright with shallow-colored eyes.
His fair skin remained fair under the streetlights, and his dark short hair enveloped a faint halo of light, carrying an unusual fresh and elegant aura. His presence wasn't aggressive, but his indifferent gaze made him appear somewhat imposing.
In front of him stood five people in a row, wearing neat, uniform black and gray sportswear, silent and utterly respectful.
"Zoe Lewis may encounter some danger there. From now on, you five will follow her."
Connor spoke in a calm tone, not forceful, yet when he speaks, he is rarely ignored.
The five bodyguards nodded in unison, not daring to slack off because he appeared easy to talk to.
"If she encounters danger, feel free to rescue her. Any damage or casualties caused will be my responsibility, but if she's hurt, none of you will escape."
"Yes!"
The group responded very crisply.
