Zoe silently looked at him, always feeling that he seemed to have many many sides, and what she could see was just the tip of the iceberg.
"Zuo Hong."
"Hmm?"
"Next time, don't lay a hand on her. This is my issue; I can't involve you."
"I am your boyfriend, anything of yours is my business."
"I can handle her myself; don't do anything reckless."
Zuo Hong's face was indifferent: "Do you think I'm meddling? Or do you think I'm too ruthless, and you're scared, wanting to back off?"
"No, that's not what I mean. I'm very grateful for everything you did for me tonight, but..."
"But you're still afraid, right?"
Zuo Hong's face showed no expression; even in a rage, he could control his emotions well.
She was too timid; he understood.
She hadn't known him for too long, so he understood her hesitation as well.
