Brandan Hyde stepped aside, allowing Alex Hawk, carrying two large bags, to walk out.
"Wash the vegetables and put them in the fridge."
"Damn, this is so heavy!" Alex grumbled, carrying the two large bags inside and placing them on the coffee table. "Can't you help me out a bit?"
"My shoulder injury hasn't fully healed, I can't carry heavy things," Brandan replied confidently.
"Well, you and Iris Harris are really a pair of unlucky companions, both injured in the same place."
Alex couldn't help but complain.
Mother Rulin looked at the table full of vegetables: "Mr. Hyde, why did you buy so many things?"
Everything for this household was usually bought by her. When did it ever require Brandan Hyde to personally go shopping? He just needed to tell her and she would handle it; there was no need for him to do it himself.
"Iris got injured, and she can't eat anything greasy lately; it's bad for her wounds. I want to personally make something light for her."
