Brandan stood beside the bed for a long time, until the cold of the night slowly seeped into him, and he awakened as if from a dream. He turned around, got onto the bed, and gently embraced her soft body.
Iris's body was very cool, seemingly impossible to warm up. Brandan's chin lightly rested in her shoulder hollow, his gaze falling on her peacefully sleeping side face.

When Iris woke up, Brandan had already left.
She lay in bed, staring at the ceiling somewhat blankly.
Perhaps due to just recovering her memories, despite resting for an entire night, her body still felt heavy, unable to lift her hands.
She rubbed her eyes, then remembered something and abruptly threw off the quilt, sitting up from the bed, and fetched the garbage bin.
Upon seeing the torn pieces of the marriage certificate inside, her expression changed. The sound of knocking came from outside the door, "Miss Harris, are you awake?"
