Iris Harris waited until he left, finally falling into a vague sleep.
Brandan Hyde got out of bed, picked her up from the bed, and placed her on the sofa. He grabbed the crumpled bedsheet from the bed and tossed it into the trash can, then took a new sheet from the cabinet and spread it on the bed.
After he finished making the bed, he glanced over to see Iris Harris almost rolling off the sofa, so he quickly went over to pick her up and place her back on the bed.
He tucked her in with the blanket again.
He went into the bathroom, took out a towel, and wiped Iris Harris down. While he was busy doing all this, Iris was sound asleep.
