Brandan left early.
He wasn't in much of a mood today; he came rather half-heartedly. President Johnston was content seeing him, so he didn't insist on making him stay. Alex Hawk was flirting with President Johnston's newly adult daughter over there; Brandan left without noticing him.
Returning to the Hyde Residence, it was already quite late. Lady Hyde, holding a white cat named Jade, turned off the TV, planning to go upstairs to sleep. She heard the sound of Brandan's car pulling up.
The night rain was dense, and when Brandan came in, his hair was damp. Lady Hyde fetched a blanket to wipe him down, and said to him, "Iris seems to be feeling unwell; she didn't come down for dinner. Let me warm some milk for her, and you can take it upstairs."
Brandan furrowed his brow, "Unwell how?"
There was a hint of concern in his tone.
