This kiss only ended when Lady Hyde returned from outside the door and Iris Harris suddenly pushed him away.
Iris jumped off the sofa like a startled rabbit, her face flushed red. She shot a quick glance at Lady Hyde, who leisurely walked in from outside, and then glared fiercely at Brandan, who sat on the sofa looking utterly at ease, before dashing away like a rabbit with its tail on fire.
"What happened to Iris?"
Lady Hyde walked in from outside, holding little Jade, and saw only Iris's retreating figure as if she were fleeing. She looked at her back in some surprise and asked.
Brandan picked up a newspaper from the sofa and started reading, looking in a very good mood. "She got shy."
Lady Hyde handed little Jade to a servant, walked over to check the coffee table where a third of the big cake had been eaten, and was very surprised. "Did you eat this?"
Brandan glanced at her. "You know I don't like this stuff."
