Brandan heard this, looked up at Lady Hyde, and for some reason, he said to her, "Mom, I'll see you off."
Lady Hyde had initially wanted to say there was no need since it was such a short distance, but seeing that Brandan seemed to have something to say, she nodded and walked out.
"Iris, I'll see my mom off. You can play a game here for a bit."
He placed an iPad in Iris Harris's hands, patted her head, and then left.
Lady Hyde walked with Brandan to the corner, then turned around and asked, "Brandan, what do you want to say?"
Brandan walked to the window sill, opened the window, took a light breath, and then said, "You see what Iris is like now, right?"
"..." Lady Hyde remained silent for a while before letting out a faint sigh, "She doesn't recognize me anymore."
Brandan nodded, "She's forgotten everything from the past."
"Brandan," Lady Hyde looked up at him, "Do you think she's better off like this now?"
